    hi guys,

So i gave it a shot and crafted the Bow with 6 prop as i said.
Sadly the news is not good at all.

I crafted the bow 40 times, each costing you around 220k to make (total spend around 9 millions)
    The result is very crap:

Best bow at 750 DPS with no crit and no socket
Most of the bow at 550 DPS
20 bows with a socket (50% of the time)
Some bow with crit damage very few with socket + crit

I just lost 9 millions to try it out ^^ and very disapointed and did not have any decent weapon :)

So either I am being very unlucky or you guys having 4X 1kdps weapon on 40 tries are very lucky.

My advice do not craft it, it does not worth it unless you are feeling in amazing luck ;)

    thx for these statistics!

Did you craft any bow over 1kdps with a socket as well or equivalent? (1kdps+70% crit, 1kdps+200dext ...)

Just a follow up, as I've had several people ask. Crafting one of these bows does not guarantee a 1k dps bow, they just have the chance to. I've crafted probably around 20 of each now, and have gotten 4 bows/xbows over 1k dps, and a 978 1h xbow last night, with AS and a socket.

Does that mean you got only 4 weapons out of 60 that are 1k dps+ ?
I am interested in knowing the % of 1k+Dps you make crafting these things
How many bow did you craft over 1kdps with socket or equivalent (% estimation) ?

    Cheers

I do not know about you guys but the NT strengh is not only the fact hat it could hit one target several times.

To clean an elite pack with a distance affix (mortar, tp, vortex) which are in my opinion the only difficult affixes as long as you use gloom for reflect, i usually set up few caltrops in a line back off and spam NT before they even get on my screen and do it again so they can't use they distance affix. They die easily without casting anything so you are safe every moment.
For sure now it is going to take longer at least on big hit box opponnent but in my opinion the major strengh of NT is that is is so slow that you can hit people out of your screen without being hit by distance affixes.
I am playing with a 400ms latency which does not help for sure so I cannot afford them to cast their distance spells.
So maybe the slow chakram can now replace NT, I will give it a shot.

    What do you think?

The problem with upgrading your weapon as a DH is when you reach the 1k dps weapon threashold with a socket.
I dunno about Us server but on EU, the price for a 1k dps with socket or equivalent (having a 966 DPS with 98% crit) is roughly 1 million gold.
If you want to have a decent upgrade like a 1100 DPS weapon with socket or equivalent it will cost you at least 7 millions !!
Waiting for the inferno level nerf and more people looting this kind of stuff will help lowering the price for sure.
Just don't buy any wepon at the moment higher than 1k DPS with socket this is pointless unless you are very rich :)

Well, I did some further researches, it seems that I was wrong too... or am I ? :/
The base item, for the spear linked above should be : http://d3db.com/item/i/centurion-spear

In this tooltip, you can clearly see that without any affixe (no modifier), the top end damage is 320.
If you add the 643 dmg bonus and multiply by 1.20 (which is the atk speed), you get (320+643)*1.20=1155.6 DPS which is slightly above the dps of the spear previously shown.

So to make long story short, the DPS written in the tooltip seems to include the +X dmg and the +% dmg bonuses.
I'd guess it is the same for the +X attack speed and any elemental dmg, but I'm not sure it is the case for stats bonus such as str, dext etc. Moreover, I'm pretty sure it doesn't include +% crit dmg.

Thank you very much for this link it is very useful !!

I did several test and now i can tell stats included in DPS are:
    +% dmg
    +% attack speed
    + X dmg (eg: 110-330 arcane dmg)
    + X attack per sec

    Not included:
    +% crit dmg
    + dext/ str/int
    + bleeding effects
    +% dmg against...

So half of the stats written are completely useless as they are already included

posted a message on How is the weapon DPS calculated ?
    Hi all,

I was wondering what stats are already counted in the DPS value of the weapon.
I mean are all the blue stats (damage stats not vit for sure) are already included in the DPS written on the top or do you have to add them to the DPS?

    For instance,

I saw a 2H crossbow at 1.28 speed whereas all 2H crossbow are 1.1 speed attack.
In blue stat there is a +16% attack speed which makes the weapon at 1.28 speed.

I checked and the DPS written on the top is the average Dmg X speed attack of the weapon (1.28 and not 1.1). If you multiply the average dmg by 1.1 the DPS is lower and does not fit to what is written.
To conclude, the DPS written on the top is already included the attack speed in blue stat.

    Is it the same for:

    +% dmg
+ flat dmg (like 110-330 arcane dmg)
    +max dmg
    +min dmg
    ...

what about dexterity? is it also already included?

if it does include every DPS stat already it looks like we only have to care about the DPS written ...

    Thanks guys
