Indeed. We now have a lot of options. The most used ones right now are fire (remove magefist) with CA/Multishot or chakram, Physical with the same combination (its the most effcient build since physical buff your pets too and its amazing with ballistics), Lightning with Kridershot uses EA/CA and even Poison with Chakran and Impale. It seems that 2 hatred expenders are the most efficient way right now. Lots of people with MS/CA combination.

WOW...I can finally use my Kridershot. Yesterday, making some tests I tried out playing a lightning build and T5 was as easy as it get with Krider and Marauders. and my build is far from optimal yet, I only got a SoJ for lightning and that was it. The cloak is not the best one for this build too. My profile show the gear and the build I tried yesterday and T5 was a breeze, The defensive build I'm using was for T6 and worked like a charm. Has anyone tested out more Marauder's builds? For the ones that do not know, the sentry internal CD is now unique for each hatred expender and they are independent, so when you have at least 2 hatred expenders, your sentry will only shoot your hatred expender. Here are the numbers:

    0.8s - EA/Chakram - 1.6s - Multishot/Impale - 2.4s - CA

Now...Druid DH with Danetas and full Marauders are viable?
What is a Druid DH? Sounds cool
A Physical Demon Hunter with Cloak of Garwulf, Tasker and Theo and Marauders 4pt. Maybe now we can have 6 pts and Danetta's too

Any thoughts on the hungering arrow change?

Cold must be viable now with buriza and frost burn.
My thoughs exactly. Will surely try when I get a frostburn.

Now...Druid DH with Danetas and full Marauders are viable?

    If you have:

SoJ with Cold Damage + Andariel with cold Damage + Kridershot you can go with a build like this:

spam Elemental Arrow, and go for Web Shot for Single Target stun lock abuse.

Ok, I tested and I really enjoy it. I still think that Multishot is a better option in a physical build, but this fire/ballistics build works just fine. I just need a Calamity right now and a SoJ for this to REALLY shine. What I feel that this build needs is a more single target option....I played a little with Impale - Chemical Burn instead of Rain of Vengeance and it was a nice change of pace. Will keep using this build for a while since I'm tired of CA.

Its a nice build, and I will sure test it today, but Sentries are too unreliable....can't tell it kill elites will be faster than the CA build. Either way, I'm so bored to use CA that if I can use this build with strong damage output, I will keep it.

2H crossbows helps a lot if you are using Sentries and Companions. The damage is higher, but since they are slower, your hatred refill is a little more unreliable. The best damage output now is perfect rolled 1h crossbows. The 130% crit damage is better than a quiver if you already have enough crit chance (thats why natalyas slayer is always in these combos). I'm keeping a Buriza when I got enough physical gear so I can try out a druid or a fan of knives build (they dont care about AS at all). My Kridershot is for a cold build. But my main spec right now (fire) works better with 2 1h crossbows.

    Quote from Misjah

Right now i only really use 3 builds.

    • Fire/Cluster, Loaded for Bear.
    • Physical, Fan of Knives spec.
    • Physical/Rocket, rarely uses this anymore because the rockets that does most the dmg is very rng/low.
I too would like to see some kind of themed/synergy setup for the elementals, like it's described by other posts, with specific emphasis on making Cold & Lightning usable.

While i don't think Physical is very good compared to Fire and other classes. It's probably more of an itemization problem then it is a ability-elemental problem.

Cinder Coat, Mage Fist and the likes are making Fire the only spec to run, while i don't think there should be equal items for each elemental, there should be items that make other elemental spec viable. These could be something like.

    • Physical abilities has a chance to double proc ability used or increase damage stack "like conflagration".
    • Lightning abilities has a chance to stun or arc to other targets.
    • Cold abilities has a chance to freeze or chilled targets takes more damage.
    • Fire is already fine with reduced cost.
I know this is not what was requested, but i believe the itemization is half the problem here.
You are right, the problem really lies on itemization. You can do Cold builds with Kridershot/Frostburn/SoJ/Andy but you need so much awesome gear to get close to a fire DH with magefist/any one hander/cindercoat. The same thing goes for druid and fan of knives builds (both physical). Changing elemental will sounds like a nerf (imagine loaded for bear becoming poison right now), what we need more elemental gear.

Got mine pretty early in pre-expansion patch...and then got another one pretty early after lvl 70. Currently not using since I finally got an awesome Natalya's Slayer. I just got really lucky with it. But calamity and SoJ are the ones that I never saw it.....

posted a message on 6 pc Marauder set discussion
I have to say that even the 4pc bonus is kinda lackluster. Lots of DHs are going for full fire glass cannon with success. The passives and actives of all companions are cool, but far from ubber awesome. 6pts is nowhere good, since sentries sucks balls. We dont have gear likes the ones from WD that really makes our pets to shine and this would only work in a completly phisical build....the best thing would be fire sentries as support in fire builds with loads of +fire damage. The 6pt marauders bonus would be a lot more awesome if they did not had a CD in it or if we had a special piece of gear that could make sentries follow us (that would be awesome). Right now, I would be happier with my marauders if I had more physical oriented gear.

I can already see loaded for bear changing for poison dmg or something like that. The high number of DHs using the same skill is outrageous. Besides that, I really thing we need more cold and poison skills, and some buffs to lightning ones.

The short answer to OP is no, it doesnt bother me at all. In fact, I'm pretty happy that OP itens are gone. My problem with itemization right now is how easier and better is to focus in fire builds than everything else. Sure, there are physical, cold and lightning builds out there (I think that poison is completly out of question) but fire damage is sure the easier and mos efficient for most classes. But I do think that, with time, more itens will come and we will have a great deal of itens that supports differents play styles.
I agree that fire builds are the easiest to flat-out max your DPS with, but they don't really give you the utility/CC options that cold and other choices do. I'd rather do a little less damage and be able to stay at a safe distance (as a wizard) using cold. Then again, I'm pretty biased because I love the fact that I can play chain lightning/frozen orb cold sorc just like back in the day if I want to. :)
I do want to play cold as well, but that damn frostburn run away from me.... :( Like I said, there are other builds out there, but fire is just easier. There is too much gear helping it.

The knockback is not that big, and as soon as you touch the enemy, it procs, so Shuriken + vault is working just fine.

Sharpshooter sucks bad, you are right

You will die a lot learning. After this learn curve, you wont die anymore. Probably.
