This makes the WoW/MM-Conflag build even better. Do you think MM will become so good that it's worth dropping entirely WoW/CDR?
That's a possibility, however you'll still need some AOE spell for situations when you're surrounded by tons of trash mobs.
Just start stacking that Area Damage.
50% paragon, 20% shoulders, and 24% weapon with the new socket thing :D?

I was mostly replying to the people that got theirs in 10 or fewer goblins, thinking that this will pop up all the time. It definitely will take a decent amount of time farming to get to it. And as long as it takes millions of gold to create a full set of gems (It cost me 30 million just to gem up one set of gear on one character), it will never be "meaningless."
30 million is a drop in the bucket when you're getting 100-200 million in one of these realms, probably upwards of 300 million if you build a quick maxed out GF set, which would probably take 5 minutes of picking up yellows of all different slots and reforging their secondaries. And it should not be a drop in the bucket to create a full set of top-level gems, they are a part of progression and gearing just like everything else. Gold is supposed to be a burden. Even if you're not searching specificially for goblins (aka, ignoring other things), you could probably find at least 5 an hour, playing even 8 hours a week that's 40 goblins a week - based on the rate people have been finding the realm so far, you'd probably find at least one realm in that 40. 200+ million a week would absolutely make gold meaningless.

I like gold having a purpose, otherwise it will just turn into what it was in Diablo 2. At which point it might as well just not exist. If gold isn't a limiting factor in perfecting gear then there isn't really anything else meaningful enough for it to exist for.
The limiting factor shouldn't be gold. It should be materials. Don't have enough small gems? Don't get to craft the big ones. Why should the limit be BOTH gold and gems? It's a set cost anyway, so at some point it becomes "neglible".
Enchantress has gold as her main resource dump as it keeps scaling higher and higher. As I already said, it just means I can feel okay rerolling items to 10M instead of 3M. Not really a big deal, and with every single piece of gear needing to be replaced in 2.1 due to 5 affix legendaries, I'm OK with that.

That's a possibility, however you'll still need some AOE spell for situations when you're surrounded by tons of trash mobs. For everything else MM/Conflag + Mirrorball + Depth Diggers should be enough. Currently on PTR my MM crits for ~8-8.5M vs trash and ~11-12M vs elites, so with those new pants I expect the numbers to go as high as ~15M and ~21M respectively. That's insane.
On live, my personal choise for AOE is the 7-meteor as I have a decent cindercoat. Can summon 21 of them before running out of AP, so they pretty much decimate all AOE packs.

but remember If You're going to play on ladder then there is no point to farm keys now as You'll not be able to use them on ladder
Ladders aren't exactly a big factor for me. As someone stated at one point:
"Ladders doesn't appeal to me. The only thing they get me is the leaderboards, and seasonal legendaries. But the legendaries won't be dropping for the character I actually want them on - the one I've spent a thousand hours grinding +500 paragon levels and perfecting gear on. Sure, I could start over with a new one and add seasonal legendaries to my setup, but in the end, it's too big of a set-back".

Draco i doubt that, but a portal inside the portal would be funny xD

And steve, yes materials should..but they arent and wont be a factor in the end. Like guys, i get you, much gold very fast is nice and all.. But after a short while you'll have 2-3 billions and.. What then?
Then I will be able to roll my items into the XX-M figures without feeling like I'm shooting myself in the foot by spending all my gold instead of staying well below the 3M figures like I currently have to. When I get up there, it's time to either spend hours grinding a new item that's as good as the one I just got, or spend hours farming the gold for it.

As for mats not being a factor... What planet do you live on? Do you actively craft gear and roll upgrades? I've got a stack of arcane dust that I haven't had go over 1K for two days now, because all of a sudden I get an item that needs 30 rolls to get the proper affix (screw you, bombardier quiver). I had to switch from physical Sentry to fire now that I finally aquired a SoJ for my DH tonight, and I could afford to craft 4 reaper wraps before my stash was exhausted. "luckily" one of them rolled halfway well (16% fire, 486 dex, 441 vit, some shit I rolled into 6% crit), but I've had streaks of +20 before not even getting the right element, let alone the combo of stats you need.

It'd also allow me to gem my alts, keep multiple gear sets with maxed gems around instead of the more short-sighted solution of unsocketing stuff (costs more in the long run <.<).

Boohoo. I spent 100M just trying to roll 6% crit chance on a helm earlier today. 200M is nothing with a little bad luck, really.

Question though: Where the fuck are the treasure goblins escaping to when they're fleeing into their portals. Also, can a treasure goblin inside the realm spawn a portal into the realm.

I'm from EU, got a T6 DH, my problem was basically the drop rates of keys at T6... I thought it was 75% like with mats but I guess it's much lower because it doesnt drop that often
I think it's 60% (same drop rates as before the MP->Torment conversion), as we can only get to T6.

That said, I am farming the keys alone on my mara DH as it's by far the quickest and I like stuff to do solo - mainly, I want to find likeminded people who wants to team up with me against the Ubers when we have machines ready to go :P.

I see the point i just don't see one now, in the patch the new gear will make the process faster having the keys today doesn't really change anything
The point is efficiency. You farm 100 keys with new gear after the patch when you could be doing greater rifts, or trying to farm the new legendaries.

Or you farm 100 keys now, where we can't farm new gear, and have basicly nothing to do but wait for the gear-wipe that is 2.1 (everyone will need almost full new sets of gear because of the new 5-mainstat legendaries, the add-a-socket-to-weapon item, ETC).

Pick your poison. What I'm doing now will aid me in 2.1. Running another fifty T6 rifts won't.

posted a message on Fire marauder - breakpoints and skills?
So, just got my first SoJ for my DH, rolled cold dmg, dex, crit dmg, and elite dmg (duh).
Up untill now, I've been using 5 set marauder, RoRG, unity, and TnT (trifecter with 45% pet speed). I have a great pair of mara gloves (max crit, critdmg, 7% CDR) in my bank, so my plan now is to switch from physical to fire, and just reroll the cold dmg on my SoJ.
Up untill now I've been using the 1.49*1.45 = 2.16 breakpoint for my turrets, however, this is obviously no longer possible, as I am both dropping IAS from my TnT (in favor of CDR), and TnT themselves. I can juggle my way up to the 1.46 breakpoint with a witching hour (decent roll, 497 dex 440 vit 48% crit 6% IAS) instead of my Harringtons (488 dex, 492 vit, 15% life, 32 all res, 107% proc).
I'm sure I can probably live through the toughness loss, but my question is:

Am I better off using my witching hour and 8.4 IAS from paragon for the 1.46 breakpoint.
OR should I stick with harringtons, zero IAS from paragon, and stay at 1.30 (think the previous breakpoint is 1.25?)?

With that answered, what skills are the chosen ones for fire DH? I assume Loaded for Bear and multishot Arsenal, but do I also take spitfire turrets?

Harringtons not working in rifts is fine. It's a far too big boost depending on what map you get. Battlefields? Have fun clearing everything with 130% more dmg cos full uptime. Get one that's mostly empty? GG, failed timer.

    its makes sense. But ok.

YOU lose the fire run that give ur explosion more dmg!

you lose improved archon rune thats 22% more dmg.

    and sexy teleport.

as i said. would not use archon without vyr's. then go something else >.<?
    Uhm. Here's the thing -

If you take archon in a fire build without vyrs, you choose the fire explosion rune, in order to gain advantage of the fire gear you have (duh).
You then lose: -20 seconds, teleport, slow time, and 22% bonus dmg.
You gain a magefist or a cindercoat which is +20% dmg. It basicly outweights the 22% rune loss.
So in the end, you lose slow time, teleport, and -20 seconds in order to gain depth diggers and ice climbers (or, currently, cains for the IAS/magicfind). Yea, having archon without vyr's is just fine (and in rifts when you get the CD-reduc pylon, your vyrs is totally useless either way).
