SS+unload dmg. Prep. SS+unload dmg. Die. Ress. Unload dmg. Repeat till mob 1 dies. When mob 1 is dead, wait for ress timer to reset. Proceed to kill mob 2 in the same way.

That is the way of a Demon Hunter. Keep poking the soul rippers till they die.

Or the trading forum. No DH in their right mind would pay alot for those boots. Boj's anglers, or, when 1.0.3 hits, Asherea's locks ftw.

Lacuni or Soul Rippers with invulnerable minions and extra health. i don't see a worse mob possible in the game.

teleport vortex spearchuckers (obligatory extra health) have just been hilarious, disc runs out so fast trying to avoid their instant spears when they teleport or suck you in

soul rippers will always be the demon hunter bane though, find a worse mob in the game i dare you

Soul rippers with Mortar is actually quite reasonable - they have to stop to cast the mortars, giving you plenty of time to kite them (and they won't catch you with their tounge-lash unless you stand still or run back and forth when they're not casting mortars).

Personally hate reflecters the most. Bam, 300K hungering arrow pierce in my face <.<.

posted a message on WEAPON DPS EQUIVALENT
I have a xbow with 979 dps, 96% crit dmg, a socket (with a 70% gem, but potential of a 100%), and 171 dex - it is equal to a 1450-1500 dps weapon. Yours has 36% less crit and no dexterity, so a 1200-1250 doesn't seem too far off :). Use the excel spreadsheet to test it in one of the posts here on the forum (demon hunter dps calculator).

In some langages (including mine) both affixes have the exact same translation.
I have bought Inna's glory and the attack speed bonus is not working.
Do you know exactly on which items attack speed always work, and on which ones it sometimes doesn't ?

Always seems to work on gloves, rings, necks, Andariel's Visage, and Beckon Sail as far as I'm aware. Aeshera's locks and Anglers are both affected.

The boots are (currently) bugged, as they say "increases attack speed by" instead of "attack speed increased by". So untill they're fixed, rare boots with more dext are better.
    As for other "BiS" items:
Natalya's mark (ring).+ Natalya's Shadow for the 7% critical chance bonus (the ring is BiS regardless, the chest is optional, you may get better results with a really well-rolled rare).
Andariel's Visage (atk speed on helm, only item with that).
Dead Man's Legacy gets the highest atk speed bonus possible on quiver (20%), and with elemental arrow (which is the "best" hatred spender for most things) dmg bonus. Alternative, Black bone Arrows is a much cheaper (a elemental arrow dmg bonus with high atk speed Legacy can be VERY FUCKING EXPENSIVE - I'm talking 10M+) alternative, with up to 17% atk speed and a 100% 7-7.5% crit chance and 3-5% more dmg to elite adds, and a well rolled one won't cost much more than 1-2m.

Out of interest though, could anyone post a guide to the siegebreaker tactic? i've not had much luck here (2x 1h weapons with "decent" speed, maybe 1.5M made so far in item drops, and another ~1M as Ill be spending all the salvage mats on a legendary quiver to sell), and the scenery does get a bit dull :D.

hey bro since act 3 and act 4 has the exact same level mobs, and the exact same tier of loot drops there how can you PROVE that act 4 just has the best drops?

i got 3x 1300 dps hellion crossbows from rolling act 3 siegebreaker with ridic stats so i fail to see where this info is coming from

I think the point here is that killing this mob is equal to killing a rare pack with no stacks of nephalem valor - and currently, I am sitting at 95% magic find in my gear and doing it with ease. As your Nephalem buff does not affect if you roll a GOOD blue when it drops, then this should be fairly more efficient. If it drops better items or not I don't know.

    Fairly simple.
Get into position and snare targets with ES for extra damade from cull of the weak, start emptying hatred via multishot, when out, use prep, then empty again while restoring all discipline back. Rince and repeat.
    Impale for single target bombing.

Just remember to renew ES on targets for the damage buff and surviveabillity.
You got shadow power for life leeching when needed. I think people under estimate this skill due to how usefull smokescreen is. But it just heals for SO MUCH.

    You're welcome.

Shadow power reduces damage taken by 65%. The alternative is caltrops with roots.
Still, amazingly fun and inferno viable. Damage and surviveabillity both.
Healing doesn't matter when you get one shot by everything even when stacking vitality. So Shadow Power seems fairly wasted.

I understand why ppl are saying you get 1 shot as a Dh, because with the SS build no ones cared about resists or vita or armor. I can tell you right now I can handle 2-3 hits from the butcher in inferno, and I've only got 27k hp. Vita helps a lot after you break around 18 k or so =) So yea, life leech helps

I tend to agree. I've been stacking up on all res on my Dh, and it's worked wonders for my farming. I've had to go down in damage a bit, but really it isn't too bad. I'd say I'm probably dealing more damage in the long run because I almost never waste time repairing or being dead.

Are you farming act 1 or 2/3/4? Because as people keep saying - there's a world of a difference. If hell is a 1 out of 10, act 1 is 3/10, and act 2 is 8/10. You can use whatever spec and gear you feel like in Act 1 and do "well".

posted a message on Deadliest affixes combo?
Worst I've found so far was the Phantoms in the shadow world (those who phases in and out of exsistence and flies around like they don't even give a damn) where you search for Kulle's body with: Teleport - Fire chains - Mortar - Extra health.
I just stopped right there. They were flying and teleporting around, making chains go batshit insane, and mortars on every single spot you could imagine o.o. Not to mention, 1 shot by everything obviously.

posted a message on What builds are you using?
http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#WRgdkl!ade!ZaYbaa is my general build - it lacks singletarget damage, but that is generally not an issue, as the Bola Shot stuns everything except for things like Belial's second form (stuns anything that can move basicly) - just started on hell, and it's invalueable to me on the "new" 3-affix packs, as it usually piles the mobs up together due to the stun (I kite them into narrow hallways or on bridges etc whenever possible to group them up), and the shots explode to dmg them all. When there's a single mob left, I can go fullout nuke with Rain of Vengeance, Shadowpower + Gloom (vampiric + 65% dmg reduc), and the stun will usually make sure that the mob barely attacks me. My escape mechanic is well-placed vaults, along with stun on impact, meaning I can literally dash through 70 mobs at once as they get knocked away from me + stunned.
When I face "trash", I just unleash a volley of elemental arrow - ball lightning's - it is an extremely potent aoe as the ball travels through packs and electrocutes the shit out of *everything* it meets. 10 of those in rapid succession after each other will obliterate any pack (like the aforementioned 70 mobs :P).
