More like: you drive to work but still get there later than the people who bike to work, so naturally you rage at bicycle shops.

I'LL PUT THEM ALL OUT OF BUSINESS, I SWEAR IT!!! >_< DAMN LANCE ARMSTRONG AND HIS INFLUENCE!!!

    :P

No seriously though. Everyone knows Siegebreaker is the primo farm spot in the game. It's not at all surprising that they turned the fight right before it into a major cockblock in 1.03 (last patch). This encourages people to use the RMAH, because if you're a Blizzard exec, 10 Ferraris just isn't enough - they have to make more money for that F50 they've always wanted... and hey, maybe a foray into the world of Lamborghinis!

You're probably young & naive, and don't understand just how cutthroat the business world is. You think it's an absurd notion that businesses would act this way, but the reality is it's just another day for them. In the top tiers of the business world, you'd either cut your mother's throat for $5, or you'd be looking for a job because someone else who would gladly do it just took yours.

Except that why bother using the RMAH. Most people who gets to inferno ghom are clever enough to realise that they can pay someone else to kill him for them for 100K or so.

Hopefully this is useful to you, I did it with gear around the same as yours (worth less than 1M gold).

It's only 7.5M million HP, not 75M :<. You've got a zero too much when you speak about how much dmg you need to do.

Frost arrow won't pierce through Invul/shielded mobs (it might split, not sure about that, but it's still not a split).
It hits far less targets, and is thus a singletarget spell, NOT an aoe spell, meaning you'd have to get some kind of AOE for huge packs of weak mobs anyway.

Yeah, if you can't even aim the huge aoe of Ball Lightning/NT, then use Multishot.

Because various mobs doesn't have a habbit of running around like spastic retards, right? (quillfiends, Molok's, Those suicide-poison-deviled thingies, Fallen mages, Hounds, Fallen soldiers all seem to have a habbit of running around like retards when I get them as elite, farming act 3. "aiming" is not the issue, but knowing where the mob will be in 3 seconds when the ball actually reaches mob-distance is. Not to mention that they can walk out of the second hit even if the first hits, especially if they're small mobs, making it a 78.5% weapon dmg attack).

Yes, well you do make a point there, but that justifies having half as much AoE against swarms of goatmen and fallen? against mobs running around like crazy there's Devouring Arrow, you can't sustain Multishot with that hatred cost for long anyway, so it's only a fraction of your DPS against elites.

And you use Ball Lightning over Devouring arrow to take out elites? Thats even more odd. Besides, it's not "half the damage" versus hordes of goatmen and fallen - it's 165% weapon dmg per shot vs 155% weapon dmg per shot for multishot vs ball lightning.
Sustainability is not really an argument either, as there's no packs of mobs that requires AOE that should be able to survive 7 multishots in a row.
    Ball lightning does less dmg.
Ball lightning is "harder" to hit with.
Ball lightning is less reliable due to the traveltime and having to hit mobs twice to do its full dmg.

The correct answer is Multi Shot.
actually multishot is pretty bad compared to ball lightning...

i dont understand why some people use multishot

Instant dmg, spamable to the extent that when your hatred bar is empty, everything WILL be dead, does more damage (165% wep dmg vs 155%) than ball lightning, mobs can't walk out of its path. Roll Multishot for AOE with NT for singletarget-pierce for invul minions / high hp mobs standing in a line, GG.

Multishot with Fire at Will is pretty amazing. It hits for slightly more than NT did, is spamable to a degree (7 or so shots before you have to refill), and it'll hit fucking EVERYTHING you point at *instantly*. With my gear at 40% crit chance and 370% crit dmg, it's smashing things for about 220-240K on a crit, which means pretty much any "small" mob. A salvo of 7 of them can clear *anything*. It gets rid of Illusionist clones by a single press of a button, so you can singletarget with hungering again. What's not to like?

posted a message on What did you replace Nether with?
Nothing. Switched my Marked for Death with Multishot, so now running SS-Vault-Prep-Multi-Devouring-NT. NT works wonders for kiting in small closed off spaces (as you have loads of doorways and turns where you can unload a beam of them and make sure you hit everything), for invul minions, and Multishot works wonder for AOE. With 93K dps, singletarget with devouring arrow is more than fine, too.

    Stats are:
    1172-1526 DMG.
    1.12 ATPS.
    +167-416 dmg.
    42% dmg.
    24% IAS.
    128 Dext.
    62 Int.
    42 Vit.

Looking for about 17m - Equal wep is about 19-20M on Ah. 20*0.85 (AH cut)=17M. Basicly, passing the AH cut savings on to you ;o.

posted a message on How do you plan on dealing with the upcoming Attack Speed nerf?
+400% crit dmg, +40% crit. Going for at least 2 set Natalya's (boots/chest instead of boj's/beckon). Probably keeping Andariel's (socket, 121 dex, 3% crit and will still hold ~6% IAS after nerf). Gonna attempt for gloves with all 3 stats, and rings with all 3 stats (or at the very least, 2 stats).

Currently at 30% crit (will get 7% from 2set Natalya's), 368% Crit dmg. Don't have crit dmg on either of my rings yet, and only have dex/dmg/IAS on one ring, dex/crit dmg on my neck, so goals should be overcomeable.

    Quote from Trombone

The best utility stat in the game was also the best damage stat in the game. It's that simple. Attack Speed was better than DEX. It was better than crit. It was better than stacking crit damage AND crit. It was better than EVERYTHING. Assuming you did happen to do one of those other things - stacking dex or stacking crit - and then you wanted another stat on your gear, guess what - IAS was CLEARLY the best thing to do then.
It synergized with EVERYTHING all the time. There was no build in the game that wasn't improved with massive amounts of IAS - even the intentionally slow as hell two hander builds needed it - in fact they needed it even more because of the cast animation benefits. Nearly every single spec for every single class wanted a fuckton of IAS, or at the very least, was damn happy when their gear happened to have it.
It has gotten to the point where if we took two identical rings, except one has IAS and the other doesn't, the IAS ring is worth ten or twenty times as much. I don't even LOOK at the stats on my gloves unless I see crit/crit damage OR IAS, and even the awesome synergy of crit + crit damage is nowhere near as good as just rolling 15% IAS.
The problem with IAS was that it was too damn good, and we all knew it. One of the biggest sources of damage increase in the game should not also have been one of the best sources of utility for everyone, and we all knew that too.
This has been coming since we all realized how amazing aspd was.

Bolded part is not true at all. With 330% crit dmg as a DH (80% socket, 96% weapon, 50% from wearing a crossbow, along with some on neck etc), IAS is/were worth 515 dps per point for me, and crit is/were worth 1300+ dps per point. That value will only go up if you stack more crit dmg, and quite significantly so. So basicly, as gloves can have 9% or so crit, a 9% crit glove would be much prefered to a 17% IAS glove to me.

All in all, it just means that I've sold off my Beckon Sail and Boj's anglers, and are going to get my hands on some sweet natalya's gear to get the 7% crit chance from 2 set, and possibly the 130 dex from 3 set if I can find a ring with Crit/crit dmg. Expecting I'll be having +400% crit dmg and +40% crit chance when I'm done gearing ^_^.

are u mocking the guy with that 2+ MIL ??? this helm is atleast 17 mil even more

Math is hard, isn't it? More than 2 mil = more than 2 mil, which includes 20 mil............ >.>
Yea.. every piece of gear is 1gold+. That's an awesome pricecheck, right?
Also, andariels only has one random affix, so I don't get why a socket would be the best, I'd only add mf/gf or life, no damage.

Realisticly, you need neither the max survivability nor the best DPS to complete anything in this game with ease. The game is about one thing - loot.
Considering that, Magic Find is probably the "best" stat possible on an item, unless you somehow like the idea of equipping 10 pieces before every mob dies to get the best MF possible, covering half your screen with your inventory and rendering you inmobile for the timeframe it takes (opening up for easy oneshots as a DH).
Which means that personally, I prefer the ability to slap a star topaz in my andariels to the 40 dexterity - I'm running with about 115% mf and hope to up that by 30 later today (waiting for a neck I've bid on to be sold).

Nevertheless, the visage is easily 10-15M, probably even more.

Have about 18K hp. Solo'd everything. 103K dps without sharpshooter.
    Gear: http://imageshack.us/f/341/gearh.png/ .
Just don't get hit unless you're in SS, avoid everything and you'll be fine :P.
(total cost of gearset has been roughly 32M or so, not including the gems. Basicly, fairly cheap - few items dropped for me like the 158 dex ring and the neck = free!).
