Ill try it out, but i haven't seen a Zuni vision with crit, but ive kept a pretty low budget in effect, it may have been outside what i set a max buyout for.

Been wondering if i should drop out my Zuni Vision and look for a Mempo with 4-6 crit, but im not sure if losing the 4 piece would work for bear set up? thoughts?

    Quote from Cthulhu

Basically this day damage is king. Those super fast packs cannot be kited, so your only chance is to burst them down. Spirit Barrage is decent single target damage, but nothing compared to bears. I can kill most of the Inferno champion packs by running in the middle of them Spirit Walk -> Mass Confusion (with 20% damage rune) -> Fetish Army -> Big Bad Voodoo and them spam Zombie Bears. Keep in mind there is no global cooldown in Diablo 3, so you can basically trigger all those ability at once.
this with PTV. ive seen my bears hit the same target multiple times as well. you could try splinters but i doubt it would work with extra adds taking a few hits here and there.

i've found some upgrades and bought some. seems about right.
this. while my WD is using a weap with no int now, it was still a HUGE damage upgrade for him. i found it though, i didnt buy it.

    Getting raped!

    VIT 978
    Armor 1978

    -------
    Hell Build: http://us.battle.net...URiT!ZcW!acZaac

I went through Hell using the standard garg, poison darts spam, acid cloud for AoE and some hit and run strat for elites, which consists in running in, spamming zombie bears then run away with spirit walk and the regen mp rune, and repeat. Hex with the HP rune helping too.

Inferno is hitting like a truck. Garg gets raped, everything and their mothers one/two shots me, and my DPS seems a bit light (even though its clearly not the main issue here).

I've tried the dire bats spam, and even though it seems to be working better than my standard build 1) its not good enough 2) i just don't like it.

    Therefore, the big question

Can you think of some kind of build that is close to what i used to use, and that would work out alright. In other words, is the dire bats/zombie bears THE only way to go when you're lightly geared for inferno or are there more standard alternatives

    Would appreciate some thoughts!
not sure if im over geared or not- but you're stats seem low to me.
    int at 1342
    vit at 981
    armor at 2781
    dmg at 9759

posted a message on Gargantuan [Big Stinker + Bad Medicine] Help
    Quote from Xhawk

Just a quick question. I am using the Gargantuan runed with Big Stinker, which lets him do 15% poison damage to those near him. I thought a good combo would be choosing Bad Medicine passive, as since he is pretty much right in the middle of things all the time, it would reduce all enemy damage by 20%.

Question is the passive states "damage I do" ... I am hoping that includes my Gargantuan, which basically is the one triggering the passive big time .... and its not damage I do from shooting my Poison Dart myself.

    This works, yes ?

EDIT - also wondering if it applies to Zombie Dogs runed with Rabid dogs ?
yeah it works. i tested it last night and as long as they are in range of the big stinker it works. as for the dogs, i dont know. ever since act3 normal i've been afraid to seriously rely on dogs.

Because darts do horrible damage, bats do not.

1/5 more damage for 15 times more mana?

lvl 52. 2694 damage, 17.4k hp doing pretty well in hell with a monk in the group. thinking about changing out dogs for hex-hedge magic / jinx. i spam darts for champs/rares/named and normal packs just get a nasty batch of AC.

    http://eu.battle.net...dUeT!ZcV!aZZZaZ

My current build (act 4 NM) with a monk in my group that uses vortex pretty heavily.

walk in, swarm, harvest, swarm again (last i heard if they were different amounts of int you could have stacking swarms) then tag a few larger baddies with haunt and just splinter things down that stray off too far for the monks vortex. also- am i right to say that Garg is spawned on mouse point? ive been trying to summon him on the monk when he vortexes for the instant enrage.

considering dropping vessel for PTV for a little better killing power though.

The idea of a "primary" AoE nuke sounds awesome, i have been using only manaconsuming ones. I'll try Rain of Toads and see, if it works out for me :)
I've been using Acid Cloud for AoE earlier but it took to much mana to use. Toads have lower area of effect, but mana cost is about 20% of Acid Cloud, so even though you have to cast them a little more it pays out.

i never seem to have issues with mana with my build from the op, but a little bit of burst damage when i first run in (hasnt been bad so far in NM, not sure how well it will work in later acts) but harvest gets me right back up, and after changing WoZ out for Hex (hedge magic) i have another save.

just have to make sure to keep things on cool down and spam acid rain, also would it be better off to use slow burn? or does it do the same damage just spread out over a longer time?

how are you keeping mana up though? it seems like you would empty that pool really fast. the 1% a sec from attunement isnt bad, but it doesnt seem like it would be enough.
