posted a message on Nerfing gear swapping will have unintended consequences on Act 2/3/4 farming
I never understood gear swapping or even MF in the first place. I have a monk who has 240% MF in his normal gear and I farm Act 1 with him. It takes him a lot longer because I had to gimp stats like vit/resists/damage in order to afford MF gear that also has dex and vit. So he kills slow with only 14k damage and still dies sometimes.

My new wizard has zero MF but has 800 resists, 25k Damage, and 27k health. Far better than my monk so i just mow through Act 1 almost twice as fast as he can with no chance of dieieng. I notice no difference in the drops I get with 0 MF compared to the drops he gets with 240 MF. If anything I have noticed Im actually getting more 62s/63s but maybe cause I kill faster.

posted a message on [Guide] Gearing an Entry-Level Melee Wizard
My wiz is almost 60 and Im looking forward to trying this out. I fail at kiting in this game so probably why I stuck with my monk since lauch and have over 200 hours on him but now that I can play a caster that stays in melee range Im stoked. But looking at the gear used by people in the many guides they have crazy stats and I would need 80-100 mil to build what they have. Will 20 mil be enough to at least let me farm through Act 2 with ease? Also what damage should I shoot for? If Im stacking resists, vit, and armor I dont wanna shortchange myself on Damage because I couldnt afford good pieces loaded with resists, armor, vit, and also had int.

Also for rings/amulet should I go for crit damage and crit chance, and life on hit only and sacrfice stats like resists and vit? I figure not having vit/resists on 3 pieces wont hurt me too much for Acts 1-2 as long as I make up for it on other slots. When I search for gear whats the bare minimum I should put into each box? Was thinking 60 resists all, 75 int, and 75 vit and then sorting by highest armor?

posted a message on Selling crazy caster twink weapon
Tired of the slow tedious leveling? Wish stuff instantly fell dead at your feet? Then this weapon is for you! With most quests like Azmodan runs and kill Kulle nerfed into the ground you actually need to kill mobs and quest as normal to level. Probably one of the best twink caster weapon you will find that isnt eleventy billion gold or on the RMAH. You will NEVER die with the retarded amount of life on kill and with the damage+crit all those kills will come so fast your health always stays full.

posted a message on 237% MF monk looking for Act 2 goblin farming people
Forgot to add in topic this is North America server.

Looking for either an established group that might need a fill in or will start my own for farming the 2 treasure goblins the one at road to maghda and the other on the trial to desert where Kulles bloods are. Been trying it solo but been having hard time finding them up and someone suggested you do this with 4 people. If you have never done this basically we get 4 people in Vent or whatever and each one of us checks both places solo and when someone finds a goblin they announce it in chat, invites everyone to a group, and we kill it.

Have heard you can get 30-40 goblins per hour doing it this way and thats a lot of loot. Would prefer everyone to have at least 230% MF. Also would be game for loot trading so people can get upgrades but not necessary

posted a message on Will farming with 0 MF totally gimp me?
Just got my melee wizard to 60 and dropped 15 mil to get him enough gear that should let me farm Act 3 at least. But while my resists and defensive stats are awesome along with a pretty decent damage I have 0 MF%. I am also in that group of people who refuses to swap gear unless Blizzard adds a WoW type function where you can swap gear sets with 1 click. I just find opening your bags and then swapping every piece of gear for every single elite fight the dumbest thing ever put into a game. Will I still be able to farm or did I just waste my time leveling and gearing this character when I have a monk with 240% MF on his normal gear that can just farm Act 1 all day with ease?

posted a message on Im i the only one that thinks d3 is amazing?
I think its mostly the new generation of gamers that hate this game and QQ all the time. I played Everquest for 10 years starting at launch so I dont care if I grind for 6-7 hours a day just give me a few beers and I can go forever it doesnt bother me to grind. I will run Butcher and Kulle runs all day long and it doesnt bother me at all and I never get bored becuase I know what that feeling is like when that awesome item finally does drop. Hell got a 1k DPS one handed crossbow the other day off a treasure goblin in Act I and havent felt that giddy since I played Everquest and Raster finally spawned.

But in the WoW generation AKA carebear-cupcake-mickeymouse-Iwantmylootnow era people expect to log in and in 30 mins farm up perfect roll items. Or as soon as they get into Inferno expect to faceroll through it with no effort. They refuse to put in the effort and instead flood the forums with posts about how much the game sucks and why do they have to farm for weeks just to get to Act 2. Listen kiddies I remember farming and raiding old content in Everquest, while also proving myself to higher end guilds that I was a good player willing to put in the time and effort for raids for a year before my Monk finally got into Tacvi or Anguish so dont cry that you cant progress after 3 days. The mindset of gamers today absolutely disgusts me. They have some false sense of entitlement that just because they log in they should be showered with the best loot and invited into every raid and I have no idea where they got it from.

posted a message on Goblin farming vs normal farming?
I read the nice post about farming goblins and how many drops you get depending on your MF but Im just wondering which is best? I have tried doing the 2 easy Act II goblins on the road and then the one on the pathway to desert where Kulles bloods are. I havent gotten anything worth selling and have farmed it for the last 3 days. If it was a 100% chance of finding a Goblin up then I would farm it all the time but sometimes I got 9-10 reloads w/o getting a kill. Sometimes he spawns in the middle of an elite pack I cant kill or other mobs and my templar charges him and he ports.

But I also hate doing the Butcher runs becuase I always get side tracked trying to kill every elite in Act I and it takes me 3 hours to finish it. Been doing this guide here: http ://www.diablo3farming.com/2012/06/25/diablo-3-inferno-magic-find-item-farming-run/ and it seems easy. I usually end up with 10-15 level 61-63 yellows and a lot of blues to salvage. Just wondering which is a better way of making money? Also I dont cheat and MF swap I hunt in my MF gear which is 240%. Another funny thing is people say they always skip whites as much as possible when farming but 8/11 of my legendary drops have come off whites.

I cant post links yet so theres a space b/t the (http) and ( . )if anyone wants to see what farming route Im trying.

So this type of play style can be used on Acts 3/4 and ponies if geared correctly? I dont want it to be some gimmic spec like zombiebears for WDs that only works in Act 1 and then you suck after that.

Who knows? If only there was a way to find out, such as searching forums.

Tried searching for "melee wizard" and "tank wizard". All I get is general wizard inormation or 48543594375 posts from monks/barbs QQing about how much they suck. Also when I did advanced most posts are hella old and probably not useful.

Kept hearing and watching videos about melee or facetanking wizards. Didnt belive and thought it was private servers it till I grouped with one today and he out tanked 2 geared barbs so I rerolled my monk to wiz immediately lol. I only have 18 mil gold just wondering if that will be enough to get me started playing that style once I hit 60? I assume use a shield instead of a source, stack resists and maybe Vit and load up on crit but again im not sure. Can someone help me out with how I should prioritize my gear for facetanking mobs in inferno as a wizard? Should I just search AH for resist all, int, and vit then buy the pieces with the highest stats? Also what about our set pieces they seem to have high armor or would that not be as helpful as resists?

Also is this just a gimmick spec only useful for Acts 1 and 2 or can I use this to farm Act 3,4 and Ponies?
