I hope they add more than one act. The whole game as it is only takes about 10 hours to beat. I'd really like them to add 2-4 acts and beef up the story a little more.
Have you ever considered that you might just not be that good?
No I did not for I am awesome at pretty much any video games that comes out that I put the smallest effort in it. I beat all my games on the hardest settings within days, have a shit load of platinum trophies if you have any idea what those are, always finish in top 3 in matches in online FPS BF3/cod, was ranked top 20 in warcraft 3 on azeroth and im passing. With that said, I have nothing to prove to you so, yeah w/e. And since when this game is hard, give me the gear and i will rape through everything. There was this Barb on act 2 with crazy gear, all he was using was cleave, i didnt see him use any spells besides berserker and volcano, so please, don't come here and tell me you need skills to play this game a 10 years old could play.
You gloat about all your accolades in video games then proceed to say this game can be played with the skills of a 10 year old?
I'm not sure you understand how Diablo works. Diablo could very easily be called "Demon Grind". You're supposed to grind for gear. You're supposed to run the same act over and over for the lottery chance of better loot. That's how the game works. I'm sorry if you expected to faceroll the entire game cuz of your "mad leet" skills, but some games aren't like that.
I know it's not super official blue text but it does come from Jay Wilson.
OP, you make some valid points. I'm not sure that #2 would hold up in court. I think the EULA and TOS basically say that Blizzard still owns everything in the end. You can only use said item in the Blizzard game, so really you just bought a license to use that item/armor in game.
I want to piggyback off of your idea and suggest an ever-increasing difficulty for these waves... each wave gets a new, random affix. Maybe your first wave is just fast. Next wave is fast and plagued, then fast, plagued, and arcane... until your final wave has all 20 affixes (or whatever it is).
I really hope that Blizz has more ideas for Arena than just WoW with isometric graphics. If they don't then I'm going to have to finally cave in to my realist side that says Blizz has lost that special touch that made their games worthwhile.
Pretty sure it's selling items or gold for money that's against the ToU. Otherwise I don't figure they'd have a Trading subforum on their official forums.
^^
This!
Thirded.
You'll be fine to promote an item give away in Diablo as long as the means of obtaining the item doesn't break the Diablo TOS/EULA. So if you are just promoting a website, post in a thread (similar to how MMOC does for WoW items sometimes) you'll be fine.
Commodities were taken down because the massive number of auctions going on for them bogged the entire system down, at least according to the last Blizz post I saw on it.
Admittedly I'm not deeply invested in the Diablo lore because D3 is the first game I truly played. That said, and flame me/correct me if this is way off base, but this is what I see happening.
Imperius hates humans and yet it was humans that saved Heaven. He's also not terribly happy with Tyrael because he voted for saving humanity. I feel that by the end of D3's storyline Imperius will have betrayed Heaven and sought a way to destroy humanity despite the Council's vote. Further, Tyrael has just become the Angel of Wisdom, meaning that there is no Angel of Justice. Tyrael has the knowledge needed to defeat Imperius and as you follow your way through the expansions your character eventually confronts and defeats humanity's last remaining dissident. Through this story your character becomes the new Angel of Justice.
This is my thoughts. If it's FOS for whatever reason I'd like to know. Again, this is just what I believe will happen based on only the events of D3 (the only game I know).
If those were hardcore characters your account would be worth more. As it is your account might be worth 50 dollars. You can't possibly have the best gear for each of those characters and it's not like getting to 60 takes a ton of time.
It's 8 digits (in the US at least) and it'll prompt you for it when you log in from an unknown IP address. Further, you can opt-in to have Bnet ask you for your authenticator every single time you log in.
To OP, if you have a better method of simulating a live environment for a game that allows anyone in the world to connect to any server then please let Blizzard know.
I would think that someone like Athene would be smarter given that he streams constantly. Where the hell is his authenticator?
If he has one, D3 doesn't ask you for it every time you log in. The website does. But the authenticator isn't like 100% secure either, its only 6 digits. It can be defeated.
