I would have to agree with you fbim4, however I believe Act 2 is the hardest if not difficult to go by. This is in referrence when you are being rushed or doing a rush. You need to complete the staff in order to go to the end of act 2 where you beat Duriel. All the other acts you can just go the last waypoint and beat the boss.
Act 4 is the hardest though, especially when you have a melee character. I hate iron maiden with a passion.
I say that gold should be important for diablo 3. In diablo 2, the only use you had gold for was the beginning of the game, repairing, and reviving your merc.
