Getting back on track of the thread....

"IF" You have plenty of fragments, I have found doing normal rifts to be a great source of mats. Depending on length and mob density I end up with 4-6 bags of items for salvaging for about 10 mins of time investment.

I personally love my Light Hammerdan Crusader. I melt everything other then elites on T2-T3.

There are some adjustments you have to make to play optimally with it. You mention you feel slow, which is because it takes a few seconds to "Spin Up". I deal with this is a couple of ways. First, I always try to have one to two hammers spinning at all times. I usual stop for a second to spin a couple up, then run letting them trail me. That way I always have some damage hitting trash mobs. I combine this with a set of Firewalkers and mobs just melt in my dust.

For Elites/Bosses, I just blow my CD's and wail on them. Yes, the hammers still take a second to spin up, but it still doesnt take long to burn the mob down.

But, if you are really down on this build, try one of the others out there. Experiment with different skills and putting Para points in different areas. Remember, it's just as much about having fun as it is burning demons.. ;)

    THIS ISNT DIABLO 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either get used to it, or get going. Either way, I am getting so damn sick of The "D2 was much better" crap. Maybe it was. Maybe it wasnt. We are at D3, and if you dont like the way the game works, get THE HELL out for the love of all thats good!

I played WoW for 9+yrs. When WoD xpac was announced, I hated nearly everything about it. So you know what I did? I didnt go to every damn forum on the internet bitching about it. I didnt whine or pine over it. I FRIGGING QUIT! Cancelled my sub, left my guild of 3+yrs, and quit. And have absolutely no plans of going back in the foreseeable future.

Stop bitching. Stop complaining. Or just stop playing....................

There is nothing in the game that is forcing you to just farm Chests so I don't get why people are bent out of shape.
Well it's a hack-and-slash ARPG. Chests and breakables should be fun when they are in ADDITION to killing monsters. The problem is when they become a complete replacement... the game stops being an ARPG. It becomes a game where you just find the best path to open chests. So, like I said, this game isn't called "Chest Hunt 3." The FOCUS of the game is not opening chests. When people make opening chests the FOCUS of the game then they change it up because that was never the intended focus of ANY game in the genre... ever.

I'm not sure how that's a complex concept. There is a general framework upon which the game is built. One of the pieces of that framework is that the focus of the game is killing monsters. Opening chests is not killing monsters. Complicated, right?
It's not complicated at all. I kill monsters and find loot. I never did a chest run. Some other people did. So how did that become a replacement for the game? it didn't. Did you do chest runs when you heard about them just because other people were doing them? I don't care how someone else plays this game. It has ZERO affect on my play experience. It's a single player ARPG, there is not PVP or any competiton. With no competitive aspect to this game it shouldn't bother people if someone played the game differently then they do.

Did the game force you to farm chests? No it didn't.
Did your individual play experience change because others fared chests? No it didn't

So the Game is still FOCUSED around killing monsters. There are just some people that want to play differently. I don't get why that is just a hard thing for others to understand.

posted a message on How I play doesn't affect you...or...Why Diablo 3 is full PvP.
    Quote from Finder

You see this statement thrown about all the time "it's how I want to play and it doesn't affect you at all". The only problem is...yes it does. This game became a player competition the first time Blizzard added viewable player profiles. Almost everyone looks at them, and yes, you are all comparing your characters to their's. Yes, even without any form of sanctioned competition, the game is full of players vying for the top spot...who has the best gear?...who has the most paragon levels?...who is rocking a full set?.

So yes, how you play does affect everyone else. If the game didn't have the "showing off" factor, it would have been dead in a month or so.

I know stating this won't make people stop trying to use that argument, but is shows how silly it is.
A "Person" is competitive. Your argument loses validity the same way this argument always does. You assume everyone feels and does the exact things you do. Human nature tells us this is wrong. Everyone is different. Everyone has different reasons why, and how they play. To assume that everyone does what you, or what another person does is arrogant presumption. Example, I have NEVER looked at another players profile (negating your mentioned proof). I have had absolutely no reason to.

Please, provide an example of a time where a player affected your game play? And remember, you changing your gameplay because of what someone else does is YOUR choice, therefor they didnt change a thing.

    I agree with Shaggy.

I will bet RoS will be balanced around a Blizzard assumption that the majority of people will be at or above a certain Para level. And the 50% boost was a way to assure that most people will be at that level. (I am guessing PL 100, but thats just a guess)

Mind what Bagstone said about applications. They will not be on a first come, first served basis. Post it when you can.

Also, no need to post any messages requiring to be reinvited in this thread, as these won't be used (we want to focus everything on a single thread).

Third, some of the more active people on the past 2 weeks, that we've seen forming groups and chatting, have a very high chance of not being removed from the clan on the wipe. The intent is not to remove the players who have been using the clan, just the majority of inactive, isolated players who are not really using the clan for anything.

    Quote from ErogeGamer

how active do you have to be ? lm on almost every day but l play self-find/solo play is my slot in the can gone now because l like solo play more then g-play ?
We won't require that you're forming groups with the clan ALL THE TIME, that would be really stupid. Players sometimes wanna do their own thing, sometimes they want to play with other friends. But in general, the idea here is that we want the clan to be a great place for players to easily group up with others, even when their friends are not online. And we can't have that if 90% of the members are always farming on their own, can we? =|

Farming together is faster, benefits hugely from the Strenght in Numbers buff, allows people to trade legendaries, and is most of the time a more enjoyable experience that allows for some cool skill combos. So we really want clan members to make a conscient effort in playing coop with clanmates.
I hate to say it, but this right here will most likely kick me out of the clan. I don't play a ton of groups. I have a family that includes a 3yr old Son, whom is my life and if he needs Daddy then he comes first. Even if I'm in the middle of a group run. So to cause the least amount of disruption to others I tend to go solo unless I'm on late and he is in bed.

If that means Im no longer a good fit for the clan, I understand. I will still try to stay as active on the website as I can.

They adjusted Para levels just before they shut down the PTR/Beta to make it easier at lower levels to gain new ones. And harder as you get into higher levels. (This was included in 2.0)

I seriously doubt they will adjust them again for quite some time. Not before the first major patch of RoS to be sure.

I have had a wide spread of LEG drops from many different sources.

Barrels, Bone piles, Trash mobs, Elites, Goblins, Chests, and so on.

I can honestly say I have seen them drop from anything. I had someone in a group mocking me for taking the time to smash destructibles and open chests. Until a Leg ring drop out of a pile of bones.....

I will say this, I haven't had a single LEG drop from a mini or main boss so far.

There is no point in "Farming" any item in game. All Legs have an equal chance of dropping. It's all RNG.

It would be like trying to find a slightly smaller needle in a pile of needles. Sure, you might find it, but I guarantee it will be painful.....
