A quality troll. Follows the first rule of exploiting emotional investments well by showing real-life destruction of said emotional investment. Troll has a two-pronged hook; you win whether one rages at the outrageousness of the act, or from the value-destruction itself. Bonus points for having no words, merely three images.

Greenjoke posted a message on So Diablo Inferno is down again..how do you want the game to be difficult? if someone is willing to play a game 10+ hours a day how do you make a game difficult that doesn't include some ridiculous arbitrary blocking mechanism?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
one thing that WoW proved is you can't prevent dedicated gamers from beating something quickly unless you put timers on it like with the Lich King. otherwise it's impossible.
there's no such thing as making something require more skill because the people playing this game already have tremendous skill that can't be reasonably improved by any means. you're giving a bike rider another bike to ride, not teaching them to crochet instead. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Raids won't happen because there aren't specific loot tables for mobs. Besides, greater rifts are essentially raids as it is. You kill a bunch of trash then kill a highly rewarding boss at the end. Nearly the entire game would have to be reworked to fit more people in a game for 6-8 and that's just not feasible for a non-sub based franchise. They'd have to rebalance skills, buffs, and mobs. People with lower end computers would suffer due to the higher graphical and computational strain of having more spells and more calculations going at once. Not to mention completely rework the code and UI. It's just not viable considering the game is working just fine in the 4 person model.

Tangible, visible advancement? You grind for 10 hours at max level and get no gear. 10 hours that you are now painfully aware were absolutely 100% a waste of time. Grind experience for 10 hours and the bar is closer to the end. Something you can see and quantify. I'm one of the people that likes that tangible advancement....it's why i've always preferred RPG's over other gaming styles. That was a big boost to D2's lifecycle and the lack of it in D3 is just one more reason to play being removed because they wanted to tell me what i should think is fun.

I'm not bitching, I'm not crying, I'm just disappointed is all. A LOT of people feel the same way and because of the nature of the beast, gaming forums are the only way to show their displeasure. Most of them aren't very good at posing their displeasure in a concise and thoughtful manner, so you get a lot of people with emotional comments that do nothing but inflame people to argue with them. Since I stopped playing, I've actually gotten more enjoyment out of reading these and the official forums than I had from playing the actual game. Sad.
Also, don't even get me started about the people complaining that people are complaining. *glances at OP*
P.S. "you trolls don't even know what your TALKING about." -that made me lol for a variety of reasons.
