posted a message on Question about dodge and block
i think that the damage from all damage over time effects are calculated based on average it will do as its not like wow where you get 1 tick of damage from a dot every 3 seconds but rather is continuous and the damage number that pops up is just added up over that time and displayed in .5second intervals.

you can try testing this by using 2 different shields with equal armor/dr stats and one with super high block 25+ and one with the lowest block 10. can also try to buy alot of cheat super high dex gear and see if the damage is lower with high/low avoidance.

I wanted to ask another question about dodge/block. if you have a 20% dodge and a 20% block will you have a 40% chance to avoid all damage if that damage is less than your block amount.
or is one calculated first and the other one takes the left over. so if you had 50% dodge and 50% block would you still be hit 25% of the time? this iterests me as it would be really amaizing to have a 100% avoidance chance. u could become virtually immune to any dot in the game and all small mobs.

Nothing against you or anything, but for me to take this as legit, I would need to see the achievement as there is a way to bug it to where you are in act3 without clearing act2.

does not really work on hardcore servers.

posted a message on damage reduction debuffs?
Im using the monk passive skill that when you attack you reduce targets damage by 25% for 2.5 seconds and cripple wave rune for 20% reduction and an aura that has 10% damage reduction

so thats 55% damage reduction its probably not calculated exactly like that but the true number will not be all that much lower.

my question is if this is broken at the moment because i do not even notice any damage reduction at all

posted a message on help with group comp
So i have atm a lvl 60 wiz and my friend is a barb we having huge issue finding any more players for doing inferno and just the 2 makes it a bit hard mostly it seems because we really lack synergy together.

what is a good class comp for 2 manning hell/inferno and would it be worth it for me to keep my wiz or level a new char with better synergy like a monks mantras are really good.

stop crying. its not like someone can spend 50 dollars and faceroll inferno with no concern with death. its very likely someone could spend thousands of dollars on their char walk into inferno and die within a few minutes even with high end gear. you still need to know what in the hell you are going and you can still die even if you are almost perfect.

and rofl at guy comparing this to professional competitive sports. its a non competitive game there is no ladder there is non rated pvp arena. you kill swarms of mobs and get items and have fun. the only cheating im concerned with are bots who get gear for free that do not have to spend time or money to win.

people who spend money on games are people who dont have alot of time but alot of money.
people who do not spend money tend to be people who have alot of time but not alot of money.

you can call it unfair and cheating for people who can afford to play 10+ hours a day vs someone who can only aford to play 8 or less hours a week.

not to mention its not like its one sided the good hardcore players are the ones benefiting the most from such transactions instead of sweatshop kids in china.
