Pretty good spot. Goblin farming is a necessity for hardcore players, there's absolutely no way they'd be stupid enough to nerf this.

Thanks for sharing, but boo for holding on that act III farm spot.

I can't find the exact quote, but Bashiok's post didn't come across as a joke to me. He said something like: "Everyone direct feedback to X (guy who was qqing) he knows about stuff. In all seriousness though, we're looking into Revenge ...".

I think it has to do with not wanting certain skills to be mandatory and revenge is in pretty much any build I've ever seen.

After a couple of cow level runs (5-6, so not really extensive data), it seems Grim Harvest procs on application and by "treasure" you should read gold, because that's only what I've been getting so far. It drops in healthy chunks though, so might be worth it with gold find gear.

All right thanks for the info, just clarifying a few things:

1- I meant since the debuff is applied to the monster, do the other players also get a 15% chance of aditional loot in their own loot?

2- MF most likely influences what the drop will be, but I'm curious if it can enhance the 15% chance of additonal loot of Grim Harvest. Not sure if your yes was covering this as well heh.

We all have seen the complaints on how barbs suck at higher difficulties, that they're severely undertuned, etc, but I want to give Blizzard the benefit of the doubt and go ahead and say that maybe it's indeed just due to gear. Melee classes have always been more dependant on gear than casters.

So, my line of thought is that maybe Grim Harvest was the way Blizzard found to help barbs with this? I'm trying to gather some info in the inner workings of this ability. Questions so far:

1- Does the extra 15% apply to other player's loot?
2- Is it affected by MF (probably not)?
3- Does it roll again from that mob loot table or does it have it's own set of possible drops?
4- Applies to gold as well?

Also unless I'm missing something, Threatening Shout in itself seems to be superior to War Cry. You can't match the 20% reduced damage with more armor (I get at most 4-5% extra physical reduction) and TS applies to all sources of damage afaik. It also benefits the other members of the party. The only downside is that sometimes you might not hit every mob with the ability and have a feel hitting you while it's on cooldown.

No Cooldown. You can basically spam it, over GCD when surrounded by monsters. The more monsters, the better.

That's exactly my point. You're gambling on using it over and over when surrounded and "the more monsters, the better" doesn't hold true for the higher difficulties. I dunno, I don't like the fact that for the skill to work you have to put yourself in a shitty situation.

When revenge works it's amazing, you destroy 10924791024 monsters with it's ridiculous damage output and finish the pack in a matter of seconds with full hp, but when it doesn't you're left creating "help my barb can't do anything in inferno" topics.

    Quote from Kblavkalash

Well ancient spear is a good idea, but overpower with revel means you can't use overpower with critical increase and that means cooldown on it will be pretty big.

You may easily way 13 seconds before casting second overpower, while if surounded the revenge can be caster several times in a row especially with rune which give 30% to activate. There is no way you gonna cast overpower several times in a row.

That's a fair point, I wasn't really suggesting that anyone should drop revenge for Overpower (Revel), just pointing out that there are alternatives for healing (if that's what you want from Revenge, although I personally feel the strongest point is the ridiculous damage for free).

I don't understand why people are using Revenge, it's terrible in the higher difficulties. You're basically gambling at a chance of staying alive.

Anyone who has experienced hell/inferno knows you melt in a matter of seconds, so why the hell to you rely on a skill that requires you to be hit to activate and then to be in the danger zone for maximum effectiveness? It hits like a truck and is amazing on normal/nightmare where you just leap mobs and go from 1% to 100% health, but useless beyond that.

If you want the heal, Ancient Spear (Dread Spear) is a lot better and it works as a peeling tool, Overpower (Revel) is way more reliable for the same AoE pack heal.

If I'm missing anything on why Revenge is good please let me know, because I find it pretty lackluster after the initial reaction of OMFG THIS KILLS EVERYTHING AND IM IMMORTAL BBQSAUCE.
