posted a message on Don't Know Which Weapon way to go 2h or 2Wield (100k+ Dmg)
A decent pair of any 2 weapons for DW will cost you a whole lot more than what your budget is.

    Save your gold, keep farming.

Once you reach a comfortable monetary position, THEN evaluate where you want to go with it.
I personally love my LS Skorn, for everything, TR and Ubers.

But I keep my DW weapons just for when i get bored.

Either way, LS weapons with sockets will cost you AT LEAST 100m a piece if we're aiming at decent dps, 1h or 2h.

Crensh, i heard that i CAN'T do mp10 ubbers with a 2h weap of that level, so i would've to buy a new 2h, and people say its not worth it and i should go for DW.

This incorrect. You got nice LS on it and you can do mp10 just fine with it. I did mp10 ubers with skorn no problem at all.

    Same here.
I run Skorn for everything. TR and Ubers, no problem.

Yeah sure there's a a few adjustments you make for the playstyle, because it's a little slower, but in the end, no reason not to play what you enjoy.

This, and also our naivety to have bothered coming in here with a title like that.
I spose we really just are our own worst enemies.

@OP: You keep stroking that tinfoil hat boy! Don't forget though, aliens built the pyramids and George Bush has the facts about it in his secret alien-proof bunker under Area52, right next door to the Jewish Banker's vault where they keep all the world's money!

posted a message on How Will the Removal of Snapshotting Affect Monk Builds
    Quote from Polrayne

Just so I'm clear - SW does not really benefit from a snapshot at all anymore - just the dps of each weapon (if you DW) and the current dps at the time? So Blinding Flash will only help SW while the 4 seconds of Blinding Flash is up?

I assumed that I read the notes correctly - so I started experimenting with Exploding Palm for the first time. I see the beenfit, the dmg is nice - however, I have an Echoing Fury and I can't get the benefit of Exploding Palm in action very much, becuase of the fear on EF. So I also added in Cyclone Strike. Which again, helps, but with burning through so much spirit to constant spam Cyclone Strike and Exploding Palm - I very rarely have the spirit to be able to recast Sweeping Winds when it falls off at the next set of mobs.

    Thoughts?

Correct, the buff from Blinding Flash will only last the few seconds that it is active, after which SW will not retain the buff, same as everything else.

My thoughts on the spirit spending issue?
I am very much inclined to start using TR build, as many bars do with WW, for farming AND ubers - making it my primary and only build...
That and, I've always hated EF for the fear thing. Used it once for 20 minutes and never touched it again.

posted a message on Banned in Diablo 3
    Quote from Gisli

@Weunis -- I was also banned mistakenly during this wave (I posted a thread here). And I am trying hard to figure out what bug in the warden would have caused this. Your list is helpful, to give me ideas. I don't use any of the software that you mentioned (LootAlert, mumble, etc). I just have a plain 3-button mouse. However, I do have a G15 keyboard. Its not set up with any macros, I am only using it like any generic keyboard. But I guess it must have some process in memory to process key clicks. Do you think this could trigger the warden? I also frequently alt-tab out of the game, and do other things. I play the game with Skype running. There will typically be one or more browsers running, for various reasons. Plus whatever other programs I happen to be working on at the time (say, MS Word, Git Bash, etc.). And of course there is AVG (my anti-virus program) active as well.

Do you think that any of them would trigger the warden, even though they don't interact with D3 in any way? It seems to me that most people would have the same problem if that were the case.

While from a purely technical standpoint, all of the above are 3rd party unauthorized software, as it pertains to D3's ToS, there is some line of reality to be drawn.

Antivirus wouldn't likely be a suspect. Word also highly unlikely, but not impossible.
Internet Browser not a high-value suspect, but browser plugins are a different thing altogether.
Skype is also a very unlikely suspect, barring the possible exceptions of Skype's "extra's" apps.
Something else to consider is Windows "sidebar gadgets".

MSI Overdrive, AMD Overdrive, RivaTuner, etc are middle-ground. They do access memory for some purposes. RivaTuner even has support for plugins, and god only knows what those are capable of...

But on to the REAL issue here - you will NEVER know. No matter how much you beg/plead/grovel, Blizz will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER tell you what/why exactly triggered the flag and subsequent suspension on your account.

If you were really incorrectly banned, the reinstatement would have happened long ago already. By that I mean, it would take no more than 2-4 tickets to get it sorted. Beyond that, you just need to (as I already said) "get over it" and move on.
You were actioned for something on your PC. It could be a trojan/virus/rootkit/etc from some source that caused some amount of memory interference/scanning or even a hacker using your account to bot without your knowledge.

It could be even more stupid in that you used a friend's PC just to quickly check an auction, or post a bid, or something similar and his PC had actionable processes running.

Bottom line: After 4 tickets you should stop and look in the mirror. Clearly there was no mistake and something does actually exist somewhere in your system that triggered Warden and upon review, warranted a permanent suspension.

To put this in better perspective for you: My own personal experience is as follows
    I was actioned for Botting/Automation.
The ban was for 48 hours, as it was my first offense.
Upon ticketing and admitting that I use a Razer Nostromo and made a macro to hold shift+click in one button, I received a response thanking me for my honesty, and that my account would be reinstated early.
A warning in the same message also stated that if I repeat the same offense in future, it would be a permanent ban with no possibility of reinstatement.

    Take that as you want.
But NOBODY gets banned for small shit, or false positives right off the bat.
A short suspension is the norm for first minor offenses. The only actions that get instabanned are confirmed botting, cheating, hacking, or otherwise severe interference with the service.

So if you're wondering why people don't/won't/shouldn't ever believe the "I am the most innocent player on the planet and got permabanned for nothing" routine... your answer is in the procedures.
You can even go browse the website to read up in detail the ToS etc - the procedures and penalties are quite clearly outlined and followed to the letter.

With Sweeping Wind now dynamically updating, does this mean it will be recalculated with every hit when dual-wielding?

Unless they change it to mainhand damage only (like Rend), then yes - SW damage will update/change to the active weapon with every strike.

posted a message on Banned in Diablo 3
    Examples why you got banned:

LootAlert: Yeah you think it's just innocent and awesome to use, but it is still 3rd-party unauthorized software. Suck it.

Exp/Hr calculators: I've seen one or 2 that reads your exp automatically and such, yeah your ban is deserved. 3rd-party unauthorized.

Macro software for keyboards, mice: Razer, Logitech, etc. That software itself is against the ToS. Whether you used it for macros or not, it is unauthorized 3rd-party software, and not allowed to run while D3 is active.

Mumble: Has a feature that attempts to read a player's location ingame and adjust 3d sound for your voice to correspond to other people's locations ingame. The reading of such memory will trigger Warden and end in ban.

PS3 gamepad on your PC: The software used to make PS3 controllers work on pc = 3rd-party unauthorized. Also features multi-key macro abilities.

And just so we're 100% clear on something. Something doesn't have to interact with D3 to be considered unauthorized 3rd-party software. Google Chrome isnt made by Blizzard, thus it is 3rd party unauthorized.
    Winamp.
    ITunes.
Anything that isn't Windows and Diablo 3.

Your account will not get cleared this wave.
This wave was targetted at something specific. You banned boys go ahead and exchange phone numbers and figure out what little toy you all used that ended up getting you banned. Then you all start a support group for people who thought that Blizz wouldn't notice or care about using LootAlert or whatever else you were using.

    Happy QQ.
    Get over it.

    Awesome and finally :)
    thanks for sharing

Also, can you tell if there is an arrow indicating on mini map at what direction is that legendary? Or in order to see it you have to press tab to get this huge map?

It will show the star on minimap if it is within range of the minimap, but no arrows when out of range of minimap.
If its that important, press tab before you leave an area to make sure. That is all...

Do you have to be so close to it in order to see it on the map or can you be on the other side of the map?

As long as you are still on the same map and level, it will show regardless of distance.

EDIT-in: I hope they also noted the feedback for not making the sound fade with distance, or at least an option for such.

posted a message on The True Power of Monk Sweeping Wind
As a Monk myself (Plvl 68), I am so happy about snapshot being taken away, I have difficulty finding the words to explain my joy.

FINALLY, monk gear with skill bonuses will become more valuable than just being the "snapshot-shit" you carry in your bags. This re-enables some of those affixes to become balanced and desirable on gear for more than just a quick activation.

Good change imo. It was a clear oversight, abused by some - and it was hightime that blizz fixed it.
Add to that, thanks Blizz for the buffs; My TR farming build/gear appreciates it.
Not so much my ubers stuff, but I am quite ok with the tradeoff.

posted a message on New patch, major let down.
    Quote from Litheum
You assume I don't know and play Blizzard games almost exlusively, and have seen Blizzard at work across all their games for 10+ years.

It is my opinion, that compared to their other games, D3 is not recieving the right changes, regardless of how big they are, they are just the wrong changes. And it is also my opinion they are not making big enough changes in the time they have had. I have seen bigger changes from them, I have seen better changes from them.

So i do understand, and I agree with your points about Blizzard, however I strongly disagree that they are listening, and they are not responding in the best interest of the game.....when it comes to D3.

While I do agree with that single bold-underlines part, it is for entirely different reasons than what you expect.
I do agree that a lot needs to be changed. I do agree with the feeling that it should be done faster. I do agree that D3 is getting a little bit of a redheaded-stepchild-treatment from within their stables.

But all companies make these mistakes, more often than you think.

CCP nerfed heavy missile damage and maximum range to make shortrange weapons appealing again. Well the better solution imo, was to implement a minimum "activation time/range" to the heavy's instead so that, like their turret counterparts, they are innefective at short range and thus fixing the problem.

Blizzard nerfed Smoke Screen on Demon Hunters, to avoid permanent invincibility. Smoke Screen (and its duration) was never the problem. Discipline regen was the problem, with legacy Nat's bonus and multishot/bolashot runes. Disc regen was the problem. They should have left SmokeScreen alone and nerfed all other bonus Disc regens instead.

These thing happen all the time. And here, the part where you are dead wrong:

They happen BECAUSE THEY LISTEN TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.
Sad part is that they listen to the wrong part of those customers. Blizz listened to the barbs and monks, where on every single page it was "NERF SS!!!! QQQQQQQQQQ!!!"
CCP nerfed the wrong things in the same way.
Every single MMO and/or MP game developer on the planet has made, is making, and will continue to make these mistakes.
    It will never stop.
At least, not until the playerbase who knows better is able to calm down the crying pisspant-players and take hold of the discussion.

RIght now, however, right here in this thread - you are not (imo) being the good type of voice to listen to...

All I've ever wanted Blizz to do in regards to the economy, is to disable in some manner the practice of flipping.

These individuals only help themselves while serving no purpose to the economy as a whole. It is because of flipping that regular players can't afford ANY upgrades once they reach 100-150k dps.
I blatantly refuse to flip items. It will not happen. I did not pay $60 to play a flashgame of American Pickers.

Lock items brought from AH to the buyer for 30 days, or SOMETHING. I don't care. But it needs to be done...

posted a message on My 6 hours of testing builds last night.
If you REALLY want to try something "out there" that works VERY well...

    Grenades - Stun Grenades.
    Cluster Arrow - Cluster Bombs.
    +Grenadier Passive
(You MIGHT want to consider bat companion if you're playing 2H).

Takes a while to get into shape using grenades, but nothing compared to the Cluster Arrow rune...
It's a weird one to learn to use. It has only one range, regardless of how far/near you target.
The really sweet part is the little bombs that pop out. A bit of patience and practice you will learn the sweet spot of it, causing it (even on single target fights) to hit the same target with 3 bomblets.

There is a REALLY good reason they didn't buff that rune this patch... try it out...
    Just be patient with it.

EDIT: I should probably also mention that using Caltrops with the 2sec snare is a very good idea...
