100k Dps unbuff is the breakpoint where you want to start using life steal. Anything below you will need loh or loh/life steal combo.
Your offhand will up your DPS if its a higher Dps weapon yes, but not by much. You can get a cheap offhand with really good stats, str,vit,ls, loh, with socket for cheap. That's why people use them. Also your offhand won't affect your weapons master passive.
Your main and off had have no effect for loh or ls, as long as your character has it somewhere on your gear that's all that matters.
Also be aware if your inspecting people profiles, keep in mind some people logged off buff with zerker or battle rage on.

Seems like a well put together set of changes/fix/balances. Though the thing about monster damage in a group has me pondering this question: Was the damage in a group of 4 in Inferno that harsh? Haven't been to inferno yet so i don't know anything about that point.
If you go glass cannon as ranged, most shit will one shot you soloing, when grouped its garenteed.
I'm thinking there fixing this so groups can now have tanks like barbs and monks. They were just unable to do anything in groups.
I love that everyone's argument against soulbinding is "it's from WoW" even though there are tons of reasons why it would make the game better, the biggest of which are that the economy would be much more stable and inflation would be vastly reduced.
As if soul binding is a WoW-only mechanic, and as if it mattered if it was.

Specific bosses in Diablo 3 don't have a loot table like 'MMO's have.
The reason is in diablo. Lets take all the loot in wow and cram it in diablo. Go try and get a specific item off him now. It's not like in wow where one boss might have 10 items and 4 drop every single time.
So I will say it again, this isn't wow. This is diablo. Shit, even getting a good item off a boss will be rare.
I can tell you have never played earlier versions of diablo before.
Go try and "farm" a wind force in diablo 2, come back in one year when you still don't have it.
Finding items in diablo is like trying to farm shadowfang in wow, hope that clears it up for you.

As I look at it, it isn't being nerfed, it's being tuned.
Going one build and one build only to progress is kinda dumb.
Good changes, not nerfs.
I would like to be able to take one hit from a grunt in act 3 and not die as a demon hunter. Yeah call me bad, who gives a shit, but it's bad design.
This game isn't what I thought was going to be hard.
It was lazy on blizzards part to just say " you guys want hard??? Ok up the dmg on everything by a retarded amount so everything one shots you".
