If I get a crit hit while my archon is on cooldown face, does it reduce it by a second? I can't tell by looking at it, but it seems like it doesn't. Could just be my imagination though.
So my first week playing these game was extraordinary. I was having a blast leveling my character and using the AH. It was all fun and fresh until I hit a brick wall: Inferno. I thought no big deal, I'll grind act 1 for gear (LOL) and eventually gear up to be able to take act 2. I got to act 2 eventually but it just seemed like I would have to farm gold if i wanted to get past the area, which I didn't want to do. Now that 1.04 is out, I am actually finding enough rewarding items to progress through the game. I've actually found an upgrade this last week, which never happened before. All my old gear was from the GAH, none of it found. Also, the weapons are dropping much better DPS than before (even though lvl63 weps with 300DPS make no sense). Regardless of what they changed in 1.04, the point is that I'm addictively grinding. I'm playing several hours a day and enjoying every second of it.
I know a lot of people are still complaining about key elements (drop rate, which I do agree on BTW), but I'm still having fun. I do hope they change some things and add some new stuff in, but for now, I am happy to call this game Diablo 3.
I've got about 250 when I have 5 stacks, so I guess about 175 base. Not too much. Still don't have any MF in my jewelry. You know what I would do for a Tal Rasha's Allegiance w/ 30+ MF?
Found three legendaries in the last 24 hours (last night and today). One lvl 63, the other two were 61. None of them were really worth much, but it's still nice to see them popping up. Not sure if it's just the Paragon MF that's making the difference. I found 3 on the first two days of 1.04, and then I didn't find any at all till last night. Maybe they ninja buffed the drop rate again? *tinfoil*
Originally, the team designed inferno difficulty to be a flat difficulty on all acts with the drop rates the same in each act. The reason they decided this at first is because they didn't want people to farm the same area over and over (Meph Runs/Baal Runs). After testing it out, they felt that it wasn't very "Diablo-like" to not have the progressive difficulty. Essentially, they ended up making a fourth difficulty, Inferno, where each act gets progressively harder.
Now that the game has been around for a while, I'm beginning to think that Inferno is kind of a hoax. It was advertised to be this insanely tough difficulty with the best drops in the game. However, once a character is properly geared for Inferno, it is no harder than Hell mode in D2.
Let's face two honest facts. Hell mode is too easy (it was supposed to be as hard as hell in D2), and Inferno is not hard enough. Blizzard needs to do something to fix this. They obviously can't just scale Hell to be as hard as inferno since there's such a big jump in DPS/vit requirement in inferno compared to hell. IMO, they should make it so that you can use a difficulty slider in Inferno. The problem is that Im sick of farming Act 3 over and over since it has the best drops. They need to make an inferno option to be able to choose a difficulty level for each act before you start playing it. That way, I could actually farm Act 1 and have it be challenging/rewarding.
Obviously, not because of difficulty. Legendary drops happen every so often... say every 10 hours or so. Either way, I want to be in Act 3 when it happens to increase my chance of getting a lvl63 legendary worth millions on the AH. I know that by playing Act 2, i'm lowering my odds of getting that lvl 63 legendary. What do you guys think? I know alot of people have been farming Act 3 for many reasons.
Perhaps I need some tin foil, but I could swear that before they did the late surprise maintenance the other night, the drop rates have been much lower as far as ilvl63 gear. I'm farming inferno Act 3 and sometimes 2. First couple of days I was finding a lot of ilvl63. A lot of it wasn't worth keeping, but I found a couple nice items that sold. These last couple of days, I've still found myself a couple of legendary items, which is nice. However, I'm not finding as much ilvl63. I also feel like I'm finding less Damage modifiers on two handers, similar to pre-1.04. I remember when 1.04 came the first couple days, I was getting reasonably high damage numbers on items in act 3 (at least reasonable for being able to play inferno). Now I'm not seeing it as much. I could just be getting RNGed like crazy, but maybe not. Any similar stories?
