Hey guys, looking for some advice on what I can improve on my gear and build? Please see my profilehttp://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Blaze-1671/hero/44977090. Also, I currently have a poorly rolled Sun Keeper sitting in my stash 1868.4 DPS, 995-1218 Holy dmg, 746 Strength, 23% DMG Elites, 10% cool down reducuction. I this worth socketing or is my current combo better? My paragon pts are distributed between Movement Speed, CHD, Resist All, and LOH.

    Looking forward to the feedback.

First of all, thanks for putting this together. I'm attempting to use your spread sheet and I am getting an inaccurate DPS reading. I believe it might have something to do with the fact I am using a 2H and the sheet isn't properly accounting for that. Is the sheet set up to account for a 2h properly?

    Quote from Kioller

Hey guys, Ive got a new build here i put together, the idea was i wanted to maximize the amount of mobs i was killing per minute, and try to shave a few minutes off my act3 runs. It still uses your basic Sprint and WW however the passives and other moves have been adjusted quite a bit. Doing this i was able to get over 80+mil exp an hour, on a per run basis, without fleeting shrine, and only 2 hellfires (one on follower). no leorics.

    Video:
Your build will look like this.
    Calculator link

Unforgiving + animosity (and templar if needed for 8% more fury) will grant you quite a bit of fury per second all the time, hence no fury gaining standard attack. Since your also using a 2 hander, it seems like WW cost a bit less fury per distance you travel.

We use a 2 handed weapon for this build, to maximize each hits dmg. WW 2 hander should nuke most all whites on MP0 and the tornadoes behind you will clean up the high HP mobs as you move along.

For elite packs ground stop is so amazing, you can charge at the elite, free, then pull them in and stun them, free, and since the patch they are actually stunned for 4 seconds, which when your 1 shotting mobs, is a rediculously long time for an elite to just stand there. + both of those moves grant you fury, + a little overpower and your critting on elites or whites like a mad man.

Furious Charge. MMMMmmmmMMmmm now thats some good stuff. I admit it takes getting used to, but WOW can it speed up the run, you wont really notice until crater-bridge-keeps. When your able to charge through 12 mobs, nuke them all, still leave tornados behind the charge (lets you get more than 4 out per sprint) and then you can spam it through those long packs. It is most definately faster than walking.... i believe this is what cuts about 30 seconds off the run, from those zones.

I use a skorn for this, but im sure there are a few other 2 handers that could be viable. The proc off schaefers hits for about 30k, 90k crits, if you can find one with enough DPS.

Leave me a comment, or any things you like or would change, always helps to make the build better. But you should give it a go if you have a 2 hander, i literally changed none of my gear, just put a 2 hander in my hands, and said tally hoe.

    See it live: http://www.twitch.tv/kioller
I stream most all my play, so if im playing, im streaming.

Look forward to trying this build out. I actually had something like this in mind but hadn't gotten around to testing it. Kudos to you for making it work efficiently.

since u got the chest, most expensive piece, u might as well get a good rolls boot and comlpete the set later

I tend to agree with this to an extent, though my personal preference is towards fire walkers mainly due to affordability, and also in part due to the fire trail. While the 3 piece IK is really nice (4% melee damage reduction), fire walkers offer the very same reduction, can have similar or better stats, and cost half the gold due to the sheer amount on the AH. Like I told you in your other topic, in my opinion, Fire Walkers are the way to go until you can afford decently rolled Ice Climbers (ones with str, vit, AR, and runspeed are in the hundreds of millions). The fire trail actually helps quite a bit more than I originally gave it credit for, and is pretty decent in terms of usefulness. While it cant proc LOH, I do believe that it does proc LL. Now I do concede that in getting the fire walkers, in order to get a really good roll, it will be similar in price to a pair of IK boots, however, if you are willing to take a hit in either AR or vit (you can get Fire Walkers with 150+ str and either high vit/low AR or low vit/high AR for about the same price), the money that you save for going for a slightly more inexpensive item will pay off in the form that you can get some IK gloves with similar stats to yours and still get the IK 3 set bonus.

Thanks again for the reply man! Think I will take your advice and keep on farming. I tend to over think these decisions.

DPS wise, you would benefit greatly from picking up a helm with crit chance on it. I would also consider getting a decent pair of fire walkers for new boots as the runspeed is nice, and they are dirt cheap. I would do both of these before the ammy.

For the ammy itself, though, try to find one with similar stats and with the added bonus of either LOH if your wanting to go up higher in MP levels, attack speed, or crit damage for the sake of making runs more efficient.

Thanks for the excellent advice! I think you maybe misread my op though. The second amulet was a drop vs the one I was already wearing. That said, you are absolutely right I need to improve both helm & boots. I'm going to look into the firewalkers ASAP, though I'm a little light on gold at the moment.

Yeah, depending on your budget, they are still pretty easily affordable. I bought mine for 3 million, and they have
    160 str
    147 vit
    60 int
    49 Fire res
    4% less melee dmg

They are not ideal by any means, and I lost some all res to do so, but they are otherwise great.

I did misread your OP, as i thought you were saying that you were going to buy that second amulet. Since you have a lot of all resist as it is, I would say that you could use the new amulet decently well, and it shouldnt be that much of a problem. Best advice that I can give you is to try it out, and if you are getting rocked a little too hard, then you may have to reconsider using the new one. Like ballon said, if you can afford to lose the vit (and phys resist), then do so. If its still a question of is it worth it or not, i suggest you may try using d3up.com to compare stats unbuffed (you can also see what stats impact your DPS and EHP best there too).

I've been running the new amulet and it's feeling good. No more deaths than normal. Actually fewer, which may be the amulet or may be me learning to play the whirlwind spec better.

    Thanks!

So I have about 50M gold burning a hole in my pocket and I'm thinking of dumping the dough into a new set of boots. I'm obviously looking at the big 3, Fire Walkers, Ice Climbers, and IK's. I'm currently running a whirlwind spec but like to go 2H at times.

I'm confused because I would really like the movement speed bonus that comes on Fire Walkers but Ice Climbers have better balance in stats generally speaking. IK stats are underwhelming but I wonder if the 5 piece set bonus is worth the trouble. Feedback please?

    Here is my setup currently...

honestly i don't even notice the damage % on elites

then you either play on low mp or your dps is low..for highend dps its the best stat you can get.

How high should your dps be to see a difference with this ring?

On SOJ, I'm assuming one should prioritize dmg vs elites above all other stats correct? What should be minimum %?
