Does this achievements mean something else beside showoff ?
Nope the only thing that some achievements give you are banner decour. Its bragging rights only and doesn't benefit your ingame character in the slighest.
If there was nothing but auto attacking maybe but they gave the melee classes the tools the need to survive. As a monk I have plenty of mobility with a dash and a teleport rune on an attack. A direct heal an hp regen steroid (mantra). A summonable companion that can soak hits. Several shields/no damage zones, a blind. Seven sided strike makes you immune during its animation.
