as a wizard i hate mortar .... even more mortar with melee enemies that hit pretty hard ... in combination with waller, jailer, frozen it is unbeatable for me ...
i pretty much hate Waller + Jailer + Teleport if they are melee or "natural mortar" enemies ...
because there will come a time ... all your DEFs are on CD ... darn
Well, i also play wiz... i'm 60 an about to finish hell. I use RoF and blizz for dmg and diamond skin and teleport as cds... i also have force weapon and energy shield... when playing solo i really get my ass kicked but thats only because i never played solo. I have to friends i play with always and my build roxx...
I simply guess that the wizs weakness is the non-soloable factor. In groups shes performing great.
with your build to deal massive dmg you will have to be in close combat with mobs ...
you'll suffer alot of dmg.
also most of your skills don't use that much AP, so you'll be sitting on that
maybe you want to exchange some abilities that you can effectively get rid of your AP to deal dmg instead of piling it up.
Edit:
The tactic that i see in this build against groups of mobs is ...
teleporting in (for additianol dmg reduction) with ice armor on ...
casting frost nova
casting explosive blast followed by spectral blade to do dmg while EB is on CD ...
but the dmg reduction from teleport only lasts 4 seconds ... after that 4 seconds all enemies should be vaporized ... otherwise you'll have to run (since Teleport will be on CD too)
1.) i'm starting playing with 2 friends where one is barb and the other monk ... don't want to have too many melees.
2.) after researching the monk alot i felt like it would be more complex than wizard ... and i wanted to start of easy and comfy
this happened once when i was on holiday in italy ... (i'm from austria) ...
i tried to log in and got that message ... i then made contact with the customer service who explained that battle.net has automatically locked my account because someone from italy tried to login ... since b.net knows that i'm not from italy, it simply shut the account close ...
i told the gm: "Lol ... i'm on holiday in italy" and he simply unlocked my account - worked ever since
i'll leave force standstill on Shift ...
i'm not sure i'll ever bind Force Move (never needed it in D2...) maybe late on in Hell when difficulties arise, i'll consider binding it on my mouse ...
i use a Logitech G700 and have 3 additional buttons next to the left click, that's where i'll place it
i have some questions to this build that i need to understand ...
1.) Does Magic Weapon - Electrify proc on ALL attacks? Which means also spells you cast or only when you hit with your imbued weapon ?
2.) Does Storm Armor - Shocking Aspect trigger from all spells or only from dmg dealt by Storm Armor ?
3.) Does Arcane Dynamo procc with every single dmg you deal? Meaning 1 Chain Lightning that hits 5 Targets gives you 5 charges of Arcane Dynamo or only 1 ?
I would reccomend against binding too many things unless that doesn't confuse you in complicated situations.
If the nostromo you've got is the razer gamepad, that should be more than enough. I'm not sure how it works but you should be able to assign it's keys by click, like with a keyboard, in the D3 keybindings menu. The mouse is primarily pointer and your two mouse button skills, I think what you've got is good. I cant say for sure about binding on click with your logitech but I know with mine I can click to bind my browser-back thumb button for vent in it's vent's settings.
yeah ... at least you can double bind the keys ... so let's say skill 3 still stays on KB 1 and on Mouse button 3 or something ... that way you can slowly adapt to the new feel and maybe work out some far superior method of control for you where you can either use the keybind or the mousebind depending on other buttons you're currently pressing,.
well ... I'd suggest you go to a store and place the mouse in your hand ... if you like the feel, go for it ... just make sure that you are able to return the mouse should something go wrong ...
The one thing that Razer's usually have is a superior interface for dpi settings and macros. How much this will help in d3 is debatable. You could string escape combos or damage combos as a macro and that *could* be helpful I suppose.
gotta agree here ... logitech is terrible at macros / button assigning ... anybody has an idea how Mad Catz with it's Cyborg series is doing on macroing and button assigning ?

if it is only D3 you'll be playing

i never would buy a guide to a game that is subject to change due to frequent balancing patches and so on anyways ...
