No point in getting all emo.

I'm not the one running around calling people fanboys because they believe classes to be reasonably well balanced.

If you don't have any opinion or are so disillusioned as to think they are completely balanced, then you are a fanboy.
That's not necessarily a bad thing, but its true.

I am kind of a fanboy myself, but I do know that blizzard makes mistakes and there is no such thing as perfect balance.

I've spendt hours looking over the builds for each and every one of the classes except. And when you try to look at playstyles, tactics and the likes they all seem equally viable.

Barbarians is the class I know the least about cause I'm not really interested in them, but nobody can argue it's a bad choice for any group with shouts and ridicilous damage skills all over.

Monks, awesome grouping class period. Not even gonna bother explaining it.

Demon Hunter, at first glance it looks kindof weak for group defence. But then you realize it has a separate pool for support skills and no recharge on most of them. So while Wizard has Slow time which is obviously better then Caltrops when it's up. It also has a ~50% downtime. Mark of Death is also very quick and easy to apply and uses discipline. And damage is very high, easily controllable and concentrated.

Witch Doctor has tons of obvious group support skills, but it's kindof annoying to spread mobs out with fear and the likes so I'm not really sure what I think about it. But there should be no doubt it's a viable choice for any group.

Wizard has Mirror images, slow time, snares, AOE skills and more.

I'm not saying they're the same, but there's no class in this game I wouldn't want in my team. They all deal enough damage to be viable and they all have some kind of group support worth bringing.

Good or bad, balanced or unbalanced in this game isn't about how "good" a class is but whether you can create a synergy in your build. For instance a team composed of only barbarians and monks with their support skills would have greay synergy between themselves. And so would a full WD team rotating their skills, a full WH trapper team could probably easymode inferno with tons of spike traps and a group of wizards with mirror images, slow time and conentrated damage would win all.

The only place i forsee a problem with the synergy in teams is with mixed groups. I'm pretty sure a group consisting of a mix between range and melee could have a hard time.

Coming home with the train 7 AM. Definitely won't be able to sleep there so I'm just gonna let it drag out till like 11-12 and then go to sleep. Get back up at 8 PM, go shopping (so I won't have to leave the house till saturday ;p ). Pick up the game at the midnight event then start playing and pull a 24 hour shift to get back in to a decent, normal rythm.

Teleporting for 6 seconds straight using Wormhole Rune, starting at 7 seconds.

Nothing to suggest this has been changed since then. Cooldown starts when he stops teleporting

Except that you can clearly see that they're using the old rune styles and skill tree layout. So yeah, that video proves nothing.

Old or new the description is the same, no reason to believe they changed it.

Call me what you want, at least im not a 15 year old retard. Group potential is reasonably well balanced. Monks are obviously awesome at it, barbs have shouts snares knockbacks stuns and more, wizard has snares, slow time, mirror images and stuff, DH has traps, marks and stuff with a separate resource pool and witch doctors have fears, hex damage buff and more.

If you actually took some time to look at the skills and understand how each class plays you'd realize this much.

Every time you cast teleport, the 1 sec window resets. It's pretty clear from the videos.

Except that every video I've seen showing this rune is using the old rune system.

My take on the rune is that you cast Teleport, it starts the 1 second clock. Regardless of how many times you cast Teleport in between, the cooldown will start when that clock reaches 1 second.

Teleport and a 1 sec timer starts.
Teleport again and a new 1 sec timer starts.
Teleport again after that and another 1 sec timer starts.

So in simple terms you can keep teleporting as much as you want until you either stop or run out of AP. Making Wiz the preferred class for farming low level zones and rushing for sure.

I disagree... he said as many times as the animations will let you cast within 1 second.

None of the 3 followers will be useless, of course you have to understand that gearing them up appropriately for hell or inferno is a given.
Would you be able to survive inferno with shit gear? No. The same criteria goes for your follower.

As to answet the OP, I will use the templar as Wiz.

Can only equip rings, amulet, weapon / shield and some "Follower only" items you get from quests on them. Their armor / HP and survivability should be pretty good at all times.

Simply put 35% HP cap is too high, you die in 3-4 hits and if they come close enough together or you get stunned or similar in the meantime then it's game over. Could work vs a single very strong foe that doesn't spawn any adds at all.. Aka won't work.
In inferno you die in 3-4 hits anyways....If this works the way as expected, then your survivability in inferno would actually go up.

In inferno you will surely face a variety of mobs as well. Some will hit you constantly for small amounts of damage, Others will chip away half your HP in a single hit.

I've played builds revolving around damage caps like this in multiple games. Some revolve around high damage caps (30-40%) with HOTs, speed and dodge to keep you alive. Others around a mix of absorbs, some revolve around skills making the damage caps very low (like 5-10%). Now I'm not saying I can't see this build working, it surely can especially if combined with mirror images, teleports and top end equipment to heal yourself.

But only against small groups like champions or boss mobs. Or in 1v1 - 2v2 PVP. But with the +MF/GF buff you get from killing them you wouldn't be able to change your build only to deal with those specific mobs so you would have to have at least a gear swap available. And then there would be rapidly hitting spellcasters, minions, DOTs, Thorns, snares, teleports and other stuff to concider.

So in other words this concept isn't going to work with that low HP. Because the damage caps are way too high, this skill is better suited for a medium HP approach where damage and regen is your focus. If a normal char has 10-12 000 HP a char buildt around this could probably work well with 6-7k HP. Low enough to take the edge off really hard hits and heal up fast, high enough that you don't have to worry about the smaller hits suddenly instakilling you.

If you had actually played a similar build, in any game, you'd know this.

posted a message on Think Blizzard will retire some items?
I can see set items flooding the market over time. They will never be salvaged and act as an intermediary for when people hit 60 until they manage to get a solid set of custom gear. Personally though I'm mostly curious of how long it will take before level 60 chars instabuy endgame gear the second they hit 60. Making the entire T1-T2 inferno farm moot because everyone will be wearing T3.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. While the CC from the Enchantress seems really nice, it can also get in your way I think.

I don't see a melee character working very well either so the survivability and single target DPS of the scoundrel seems perfect.
