Did you do the same in Diablo 2? Yes but the fun came from trying out exotic builds and play around with some uncommon stats. I know Blizzard fanboys will overhype everything they offer but lets see in 2 months from now.
They should have just updated the graphics with a deeper customization tree and be done with it yet they decided to create a totally different game. Don't care if you agree or not but a successor should stay true to its predecessor.
Diablo 2 was a horrible successor to Diablo, if that's the criteria.
Honest feedback on Diablofans: it is fantastic. It has provided me with a wellspring of information and the forums on the whole have been interesting and not plagued terribly too much by trolls. However, come May 15th I don't see myself visiting the site for too much more than checking up on blue posts and maybe perusing the Monk (or whatever class I'm invested in) forums.
Seems good, although I hope the AI on the Toad's single target CC is intelligent - taking out a single small skeleton won't be a major boon but taking out a sand raider or more dangerous creature can be very good!
There is much fame and glory to be had, like whatshisface, that guy who got to level 60 first in WoW. And don't forget all about the ultra famous guy who hit level 70 first in The Burning Crusades. Unfortunately, we all remember the controversy about those two very well known people who came within moments of hitting level 80 first in Wrath of the Lich King. Luckily, the person who hit level 85 first in Cataclysm is still living off of his Gatorade endorsements so there's that.
WAIT, WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW THEIR NAMES?! THIS IS IMPORTANT!
You guys need to learn your Star Trek data - Data will not willfully cause harm to a member of Star Fleet even if they are are an immediate threat to him.
I couldn't stand the pressure of waiting so I decided that I wanted to give Diablo 2 another whirl to help this final week go by. I went to Battle.net and paid $10.00 to download the game client for Diablo 2 but it's asking me to insert a CD.
Anyone familiar with how to work around this? I have Windows 7 and I have attempted to run it as administrator and normally as well. I can open the installer but when I choose "Play Diablo II" it pops open a window stating that there are known compatibility issues with this program (which I assume refer to choppiness/color issues). When I click "run program" it informs me there is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR1".
For the most part it is simply done as something to pass the time. However, I would contend that a player who has spent time constructing a rough draft of potential builds before the game comes out will be benefited by their time doing so.
Wishedhehadbeta, 2691 posts, not a single one of them written in a good manner. All your posts is trolling attempts or insulting others. This place would be better off without you, so please leave.
welcome to diablo fans. there are many like me, but this one is mine

Alright, first of all, I have not had the pleasure of trying out the beta, where I guess most of my questions would be answered, hence this post:
1. When you die, do you drop all your gold like in D2?
2. Will the maps be random and explored areas deleted like in D2?
3. They say the game is focused around Co-op, but is it still possible to solo the entire thing?
4. The rune/skill system is supposed to be changeable, can you change skills between packs/how does it work?
5. is the server system going to be separated into realms like in WoW, SWTOR or do they have the same awesome system as in D2?
If you think any of the questions above are stupid/retarded etc.. please make a new topic flaming this one, instead of filling this topic with your unwanted garbage.
Cheers !
1. Nope.
2. It's just like D2 in that regard save for you cannot toggle the overlaying map.
3. It is confirmed that you can solo the entire game, although it may be more efficient to do it with other players.
4. You can switch your skills after killing a pack of creatures, but it typically takes about 10-12 seconds before the new skills are ready to be used.
5. There will be no realms save for the general United States, Asia, and EU servers.
Quick question for anyone who knows: as of right now I have no active game licenses through Blizzard so I cannot create nor respond to threads Battle.net (even though I have already pre-purchased D3 via a digital download, apparently that one doesn't count). The question I have is whether or not i will be granted forum access when D3 goes live or if I am stuck in read only form.

From what I understand the tool tip on that rune is incorrect. It does not actually make the spell cost 0 but instead lowers it to 10 or 12 cost.
