I expect to see you guys doing this charity thing for a few copies of the inevitable D3 expansion in a few years too, cause this is an awesome idea.

Yeah I was expecting these to be in this list too, if anything just to give a better sense of how many achievements there are. Also this doesn't include feats of strength I don't think and it would be cool to figure out what some of those are (beating the unicorn level perchance?)

Along the same lines I was expecting some sort of meta achievements like we saw in the Beta (Betamaxed, Ironheart, Overachiever). Maybe like "Beat the game with this class/all the classes" "Get all the classes to lvl 60" "Get all the achievements in [particular section]" I'm sure those types of achievements will be in there I would just like to see them in the list because I'm OCD like that. But Ig uess we're less than 18 or so hours away so it doesn't really matter anyway

I was thinking the same. Hopefully it's weight will make up for its size. If it's that small AND made out of hollow plastic I will be very disappointed.

I ordered the collector's edition because I'm an idiot consumer and I am fully aware of it and I don't care, you wanna know why? It's D3. That should be enough of an explanation. If the collector's edition only came with a different box and the exclusive sigil I still probably would have sprung for it. Hell, I probably would have gotten it if it just came in a different box that I could put on my shelf, that's how crazy I am now that D3 is finally a reality after this long of a wait.


The dyes and the wings and the art book and the bluray and the sigil are nice bonuses though

For the sake of numbers, let's assume the OP's guesstimation was accurate. I know a bunch of people want to race to 60 as fast as possible and be the first people to chop at inferno mode and begin their theory crafting and stock up on endgame loot all before they've let themselves sleep. They'll be the 30hr people. Me? I'm probably going to be in the 60-80hr category because I want to....you know.....play the game and explore all the little nooks and crannies and listen to the quest text and drink in as much as I can and just all together take my time during the honeymoon period while I'm still starry eyed by this new game that I've been waiting on for over a decade. I don't want the small window for first impressions to be sullied by trying to optimize my speed through the main storyline, end game content isn't going anywhere.

(as a side note, I don't know about you guys but 30 minutes for the beta seems a bit fast anyway, let alone using it as the general coefficient for the measure of 1/3 of any act.)

I've got 2 23" 1080p screens. I've tried and owned bigger ones (50", 42", 37", and 32") but they were just too big for how far away I like my screens to be on my desk. I've come to the conclusion that right around 23-24" is perfect for me as long as they are at least 1080p or 16:10, anything smaller and I feel like I'm missing out and anything bigger and I start to get a headache.

This is only my viewpoint for computers and gaming though, I love my 50" plasma right where it is in the living room playing netflix and blurays. :Thumbs Up:

I think the problem that some people are having from this is that the term "tiers" doesn't really mean the same in D3 as it does in WoW. In WoW the higher the tier loot you have the better all the way up to the top tier which is normally the best gear you can get. The way I see tiers in D3 are going to be slightly different. According to this picture we got up to right around tier 1-2 in the beta. Let's take chest armor for example. We found a TON of leather doublets. We found grey ones, white ones, blue ones, and even yellow ones, but they were all Tier 1 chest armor. Now in end game, I guess we could be finding some cracked and inferior zero stat archon armor (T17 according to the picture) in Act 3 & 4 Inferno but that's not going to be nearly as good as some of our non-Tier BIS Set/Legendary items that have a small chance of dropping in Hell mode.

Well, if you're going to be using speakers and you want to get a headset for it's mic, why not cut out the middle man and just get a mic for you computer? It might be awkward wearing a headset but not using it for sound, were you planning on wearing it just around your neck or something?

But if clarity of voice is something you really want it couldn't hurt to invest a little money into it. I've actually been looking to get a microphone for D3ing with my friends. I currently have a cheapo sub $10 headset and over skype it sounds like I'm trapped in a well made of aluminum cans but I'm looking for something with a little higher quality and it's somewhat easy for me to justify investing 50-80 dollars because of the sheer amount of hours I will put into using it. I was looking at something like this so my teammates can bask in my smooth deep barry white-ness.
