Dual wield swords 750 dps, 785 dps (no shield)
1.0.2c: Farmed act 1 butcher runs over and over. Found it easy. Act 2 was hard but I got to belial and could not beat him solo. Tried it a couple times in public groups and got him once when we had a couple high dps mages.
1.0.3: Act 1 is a joke. Act 2 is more like Act 1 was in 1.0.2c. Belial is a joke now. His big attack in phase 3 brings me down to 80% health which a globe refills me. Except for the bomb phase, I just stood there and swung at him while drinking a coke. Phase 2 is a joke as he doesn't go range and shoot those three poison shots anymore. Looking forward to farming him for a week or so before I try Act 3.
Once I find some better swords in the 900 dps range, I'll try Act 3 and 4.
Pretty sure the real money AH isn't coming out tomorrow lol. They will need one week to make sure they took care of this bug before they let us play around with real money.
If I put a gold find or magic find amulet or ring on a follower, does it count for me? Meaning will more gold drop if I place a gold find ring on my enchantress?
For soloing.. forget it. I die in seconds. It's not worth it.
For 4 person group play, it's actually pretty viable. Just spam the cooldowns if you are start tanking and keep running around and you'll live. With dual wield, I don't consider myself a tank anymore even though I have all the defensive cooldowns on my bar. I pop wrath for insane burst damage when needed.
I've been using a 720 dps 1hand sword with full barb stats with 1000 life on kill and a pretty good shield for a bit.
Well I just found on the AH an undervalued 753 dps 1hander that has 244 strength and 108 vit that I couldn't pass up.
Both are 1.40 speed.
Will I be stupid giving up my shield for dual wielding? The shield I have is medicore. 755 armor, 1445-1549 block amount, 67 str, no vit, 8% health, 29 resist all, +5% block.
With war cry and impunity rune I have right around 750-800 resists to all. And I'm just starting Act 2.
I recommend you to try to get a good 2h instead of shield. Those barbarians I have convinced to try 2h has had a great development. Primary reason: you get longer range and thus revenge hits a lot more.
Revenge hits for more with a 2hander because most likely the 2hander is higher DPS and revenge is based off weapon damage. So you kill stuff quicker but get hit for a lot more without a shield... and most likely swing slower.
And to the OP... how can you be stuck on Act 1 for for weeks? The game hasn't even been out for three weeks yet. You got to inferno act 1 on launch day and can't get any farther?
