The key to nightmare for me was upgrading my weapon every 1-2 levels. If you keep your weapon up to date, you can steamroll through most of nightmare. This is less viable once you get to Hell.
    This.

This is a low level build that lets you survive pretty easily and deal decent damage. Change cleave to frenzy with sidearm when bossing, you will rip every boss apart.

    That build doesn't make sense, what do you spend fury on >_>;;;

But what was already said was right, just upgrade your weapon every1-2 levels and make sure str/vit are on every piece of gear. Profit.

Nightmare is really easy once you realize you need some vitality on your gear. Search the AH for items with Strength and Vitality, then check the items out and get something good (with life per hit or health globe healing). Get weapon first, then find some armor pieces with vitality. Shoot for 10-12k health and you should be good even without a shield.

Here's my build, I focused on stunlocking and AoE damage. The defensive passives were also essential, since it allowed me to stand in the middle of large groups and not die:

    Hope it helps.

I like what Blizzard did with D3, the fights are incredibly dinamyc compared to D2, and we didnt even play the PvP yet...

However, I expect that Blizz would add more content to the game soon, and in a few monts, maybe something like Ubber quest and stuff like that.

What Im really hating right now, is the time Blizzard is taking to fix the latency issues...
The problem right now is not a lack of content. If they fix some of the things that are broken, they can take their sweet time releasing new content.

I agree. I think the complaints about how short the game is come from people that don't realize this game is based on replayability. They want you to be able to login with your friends and kill a boss or two, and on the higher difficulties, they want beating the game to feel attainable. I'm always cool with more content, but I don't think Blizzard screwed up what they did with D3. I'm having a blast just playing the game itself, and it's only when I look for things to complain about that I notice small issues.

Why are you guys upset over 1 damned sigil? There are going to be so many banner customization options that I guarantee that most people who have it won't even use it. I don't even care to see what it looks like and most people won't when the game goes live. Man up and get over it.

We don't even know what it looks like yet. I bet it's uglier than the ones from the Heroes Rise site, which means no one will use it. You're right that people will forget, but if people bitch enough I bet they'll give it to everyone who open beta'd. But you can never tell these days, they kind of do what they want with some of this achievement stuff.

I foresee a post telling people to calm down because it's a purely cosmetic reward, which I kind of agree with. I might be a little annoyed if I wasn't getting it, but in the end I wouldn't mind because it doesn't give anyone an advantage. It's just 1 sigil.

I've got mixed feelings about this. I was in the beta, and got there by luck. It's not exactly a "feat of strength." But on the other hand, I have a feeling that there will be several achievements that are time limited, will only be available to a few, and that it will not be possible for anyone to get all of them.

For most people, it won't be a matter of trying to get every achievement. It's more of a system to express how you play the game, and to exhibit your history within the game. I logged a lot of hours in beta, and I definitely see it as part of my history within D3. A little momento seems harlmess to me.

Maybe I'm biased because I was in the beta, but that's my perspective on it.

I waited for the game the whole time, people that didn't even knew anything about this game will get it.

I think that such achievement is bullshit.

Giving it to everyone who participated to the open beta would be way better in my opinion, as it is based on the wait and an early play of the game, not on luck.

I do think that would have been better. Taking time to download and install the client, just to get in one weekend of play shows at least as much dedication as randomly being selected. Plus those people played the beta at least. Right now this feat even goes to people who won a key and didn't bother to download the client.

Of course, if they opened it to people from the open weekend the name "chosen" wouldn't make sense. Maybe they should have made it available to all beta testers and called it "Advance Scouts" or something.

    It would be more fair.

Agreed. While I'm not too big on achievements and such, I think that giving people a feat of strength for something they possibly didn't even use (selected people get the tag even if they never logged in) is kind of ridiculous.

    Quote from forumbrah12345

i would guess from least to most popular

    witch doctor
    monk
    demon hunter
    wizard
    barbarian

I think this reflects my idea of what the community will think. They did a good job of making the Demon Hunter badass, so even though the archetype isn't as popular, lots of people will play it just because it looks so cool.

Personally, I can't decide between Monk and Barbarian for my first class. Every time I think I've decided on one, I find out something cool about the other. Demon Hunter comes in third for me, followed by Wizard and then WD. WD is the only class in the beta that I didn't really have any fun playing. That being said, he gave me the impression that the class will be RIDICULOUSLY powerful at higher levels. Just not for me.

Therefore, I think WD will become much more popular when people realize he "owns" and perhaps numbers will even out.

Before the beta I wasn't even interested in D3... Then a friend (who's in love with the diablo-franchise) asked should we try some co-op.

Ten hours later he had to log off to go to work and I was hooked. :)

This almost exactly. I got a beta invite and a friend of mine told me I had to try it. I hadn't really been following it up to that point, but after playing for about an hour, I was a veritable vacuum cleaner sucking up everything Diablo 3 related that I could. 3 months later, I co-host a blog, a podcast and a livestream dedicated entirely to D3.

Hate on me for not playing the first two, but I'm going to be playing this game for a long time to come.

Looking forward to a multi-shot, lightning enhanced, mortar, waller... Not sure how many mods they can have in Inferno, but if it is 4 or 5 there certainly is potential for some disasterous, near impossible combos especially if the monster health is high/packs take a long time.

I think I remember a dev mentioning somewhere on the forums that they add 1 affix per difficulty level, i.e. 1 in Normal, 2 in Nightmare, 3 in Hell, and 4 in Inferno. I wouldn't put it past them to put more on at the tail end of Inferno.
