Also, please explain to me how Blizzard taking a 15% cut of gold is somehow 'greedy'.

I cant see a reason why its greedy, but there are other valid reasons like being a main goldsink and stopping people from spending all thier time playing on the market getting gold there instead of playing the game.

Yep. To be clear, I have no problem with the fees. Gold sinks are needed.

It's just silly to accuse Blizzard of being 'greedy' because they take a cut of gold. Greedy would have been running the RMAH where they take actual cash.

I've yet to think of a valid gameplay reason why a mailbox would be needed. The only argument for it seems to be 'it would be convenient for me'.

Also, please explain to me how Blizzard taking a 15% cut of gold is somehow 'greedy'.

People make threads titled 'Bashiok knows nothing of diablo' , and call him an idiot, and he's not entitled to respond in kind?

    Ok.

I met Bash at PAX East. He was a really down to earth, engaging guy. Fun to talk to. Doesn't deserve all the crap he gets from people who want to complain about one thing or another.

I'd buy 10x more blizzard products if "go fuck yourself" was all Bashiok said.

    Indeed.

If people don't want Blizzard employees talking to them with sarcasm , then they should try acting like adults when making their threads, and not spend their time insulting people who are doing their best to make an entertaining GAME.

posted a message on Current Players in Inferno, Finding and Trading Gear, Blue Posts, Inferno Act 3 Farming Spot
There are a LARGE number of people that don't understand that the entire Diablo series is predicated on the gear chase, on getting gear to get more gear.

Not much you can do about it. Unfortunately, it takes away from the overall community because long time players just get sick of people complaining about the core mechanic of the series.

The forum QQ for WoW has always been strong, but MAN some of these D3 folks are setting the bar REALLY high.

So you giving up your account information unwillingly is Blizzards fault?

Blizzard provides you with multiple methods to protect players from their own stupidity, yet gets shit on for it.

    Yep. Makes sense.

I'm fully convinced that if Blizzard decided to send you a bag of money and a 6 pack with every game purchase, someone would still piss and moan about it.

There certainly should be parts where ice armor may be worse than storm or energy, but it should never ever get to a point where I HAVE to switch my skills. That's just bad.

    But you never HAVE to.

For me part of the fun of the game is trying out new skill/rune combinations for different things that are tossed at me, and finding something that works. I'm not yet into Inferno, so maybe it changes there, but I've not yet felt at all that only a single skill/rune combo was the only thing that could possibly work.

That's a fair assessment, and I think that Blizzard clearly agrees with you on that.

I could see circumstances where one armor may be situatuionally better than another, and I think that makes balancing quite difficult.

honestly you're right the game is great, but it falls flat on it's face in balance. Classes need vit to survive, and are forced to take survivability skills to even attempts A2 inferno. That's a big no no, second Itemization sucks right now. Legendaries are worse than rares, and white's and magics can come close too. It's pretty sad actually. I want to look like a badass and have useable equipment. If that's too much to ask for then there's a problem. As long as they balance the classes and difficulties, then touch up on some itemization problems the game will be #1 in a lot more people's eyes.

I fail to understand why forcing players to take survivability skills to tackle the hardest difficulty is a bad thing.

    Quote from oxnan

stream isnt on... but from what im getting for the info, he just rushes the bosses and kill them, lots of ppl can do that, bosses are easy. But if you play the game it is "meant" to be played, you have to get the valor buff up to 5. While it is possible a barb in BIS gear can do it, they gimp so much damage for survival that it takes hours just to do something simple.

'Best in slot' doesn't exist in this game.

I'm pumping gold find hard, and filling in gear gaps from the AH. Once upgrades from the AH become hard to come by or no longer useful, I'll start moving back to magic find.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Most reports from people I've seen suggest that their computer's security is good so either they are lying/mistaken or there is a flaw in Blizzards security that allows for MitM-type exploits to happen

I think it's wrong to jump to conclusions and blame either party. There is obviously something gonig wrong somewhere when you consider the huge amount of people that have had security problems.

Either way there's no point blaming anyone till the cause has been found.

Over 6 million people are playing D3. Not a single person who has an authenticator attached to their account has been hacked.

Do the math. Users are to blame.
