posted a message on Whats the deal with Energy Twister?
what makes it bad is the terrible pathing the twisters have combined with the high AP cost, i'd love to use it but currently it's a waste, and the tornado rune still has that terrible pathing, only better radius

i'm in the process of collecting the entire set, just for the lolz and to wear it if it's better than what I have, but i'd like a clarification about the set bonuses, the 3% elemental damages, is it that for exemple fire skills deal 3% more damage? if that's so it sucks balls, since there are not a lot of good spells using fire... or is it like you gain a 3% damage buff, of fire type?

also is the complete set a good gear for inferno wiz?

Now I wouldn't say that life leech is a "waste", but I would agree that it's a lot harder to make more viable than LoH. Life leech is scaled for having lots of dps and lots of mobs. If you think it's a complete waste go watch the dude that plays a barb with the sprint/ww build. He has fairly close to max life leech and does CRAZY aoe damage. Needless to say he rarely dies.

OT: Lower gear levels without stacking life leech at all blood weapon is going to be basically useless. Go with force weapon and some life regen or LoH if you need some healing.

Yes. Any skill or anything that says damage is converted to life is life leech and is nerfed hard in inferno.

ok thanks then gonna change that rune I guess...

no one said that? really? I mean REALLY?, the Giberring Gemstone! source of curiosity for many many players in D2s Battle.net (you know the little gem you could activate and deactivate and changed colors from purple to blue, wich didn't had any purpose?, there's one in the bottom page of the Skill calculator page, and it,s also an item needed for the Staff of Herding

posted a message on jeweler plans drop rates
yeah on the one hand it's fine that some things are super rare. but only when they are something you can actually use, I mean if after like 300 hours you fine one plan and it's the higher tier of say, amethyst then it dosen,t really do a thing because you still need to find the 2-3 tiers below before being able to use it, and even then craft gems is by no mean cheap, wasting hours upon hours to find somethign that will cost a really high price to make and that I may not be able to use it yet, is stupid IMO, put some very good items like legendary with somewhat fixed stat and have them have a very very low drop rate, not plans to craft somethig...

actually IIRC I read somewhere that blizzard is currently looking in the BS ans JC drop rates, and see if it ''feels right'' that they were putting it as it is now kinda like a test, and improve it if need be, let's hope they will, the thing that would be worst than finally founding one plan woul be to found a useless one (like amethyst are basically useless except for helms, and even then not all helms have a socket, and it's usually better w/o)

Working through Act 2 Inf atm, and I have no problem with the map randomness not being enough, Just my personal opinion!

I agree that the maps could have been more randoms, like in hallsof agony. lvl 2 is always after the big saw thingy, highland passage is always to the right and lvl 3 is always up, that makes runs concentrated on going to that particular direction thus the time it takes for exploring an area is a lot less then in D2 I remember in D2 often the exit was at the only remaining spot because of bad luck while some other times I just found the exit right away. in D3, now except for the first few runs, you always have an idea of where things are and outdoor maps exit are always at the same place too... an exemple of D2 is in act 3, when you need to go too Kurast, the way can be in the first map, OR in the great marsh another zone entirely, so you have to explore the first map wich is huge and if you,re not lucky then go into the great marsh to find the next place, the randmoness of D2 was amazing, but I still love D3 and i'm gonna play it a lot more, I just think things could've been more random

In a lot of parts I got the feeling that blizz was trying to capture the nostalgia part of D1 and D2 but they couldn't make it to the expectations, at least they tried guess :S

Agreed.. no thought put into bringing back the nostalgia without blatantly throwing it in there. The only cool reference I enjoyed was the Old Tristram road that led to the town. At least it was laid out the way it was in D1. D2's Tristram wasn't even close.

I can't see them bringing back any character classes as references. That just doesn't make any sense.

classes from D1 were all a reference in D2, Sorcerer was the Summoner of Act 2, Rogue was Blood Raven and warrior, well Diablo ;)

I would also have lover to see what happens to the whole cast of character, Sorceress is dead ;( killed by an assassin (the one of D2 maybe?), we see Necro's student, and sicne Necro isn,t there we can assume he,s dead..., but all of the others are not known, we can guess the barb is dead because of the Worldstone destruction, since most of them died, but druid/Assassin(beside a will wild uncofirrmed guess)/paladin/amazon we got toally no clue, I would have love to know what happened since we learned in D2 what happened with D1 classes...

posted a message on NV Feedback given during beta.... u joking?
for those complaining about them fixing classes post-launch: you really think lvl 13 char could do the OP Force armor/low HP/High regen build when the skill is given to you at lvl 54? same for the DH, you really couldn't get enough DIscipline in beta to make the build work, so they had no way to see those build before, beside thinking about it themselves, wich they obviously didn't, they can,t jusdge class balance based of lvl 13 char... and even not only on their personal experiences, people who played the game from start to finish before launc were just too few to get a proper feedback, so fixing the OP builds after the game lauched is the only way, same for the huge balance patch in 1.1, they had no real way to know if all spells/rune would be usefeul before launch, they made a guess, turns out a lot of runes/skills are useless and some are just a must(Wrath of the berserker/Revenge says hi, like Smokescreen etc) so they saw their guess was wrong, so their going to fix it, that's all.
