And i think its obvious why console game is better than PC.They want us to buy it right? So tell me would you buy the exact same game that you've played the hell out of?Or would you buy an inferior version of the game which already got so many problems?Or would you like a version that makes it more fun and makes up for the shortcomings of the pc version ie a superior version?

Obviously you would like the superior version right?

Why release GTA a full year after its console release to PC and change absolutely nothing? it has worked for many years. For many games.

Well to be honest i dont know much about GTA.I haven't played GTA 4,and i haven't played GTA 5(is it released yet?) and i haven't played many of the other games. But i've played San Andreas and Vice city.

The content in GTA is much more than diablo 3.And also playing the same game again on a console is better than playing Diablo 3 on a console because in GTA you don't have to grind, and you don't have to play every mission 4 times on different difficulties and you just can't replay a mission unless you forgot to save.Well you may not be able to understand what i said and even i have problem understanding it,so i'll give an example:-

Suppose there is a mission in GTA to kill Mafia Boss X.You go to his hideout, blast some vehicles, fight him and nail him down with a gun while he's running. You can't play that mission again and you can't grind the areas, actually you can continuously keep killing people for a chance to get 10$ from a dead man but that's not grinding.

So is there a reason to play it on another difficulty?Die hard fans will play but it is not compulsory as it does not reward you with any new guns, swords, bullet proof vests, etc. So one year later when you play it on a console you will have fun because you know how to complete the mission but it'll still be like fairly new.

Just like killing Belial for the 2nd time on nightmare was fun for me because the fight was tougher and challenging but i also knew the mechanics, killing him for the 25th time(Yes i count) on inferno was not that fun.

So maybe it works for other games.

But in diablo 3 you know all the areas because you have been forced to complete all difficulties to go to inferno to grind for the best gear.So you get bored of that fast.Hence,i don't think it would be the right formula for D3.Atleast according to me i dont want to start from the overlook road again with a barb waiting to reach lvl 3 and get cleave, which i have experienced a million times(Here i have not counted) on my level 60 barb.

But it may be different according to your viewpoint.

Well due to democracy you do have to tolerate my ridiculous tin hattery. :P

On a more serious note,Are you kidding me? You think diablo 3 is in a perfect state? You think pvp,end-game,itemisation are good?Seriously? And you want facts for it too??

I never, ever, said D3 was perfect. Anyone around here knows very well I don't believe that. PvP is exceptionally basic right now and I know Blizzard will expand on it. We need a game creation/listing system similar to D2 to facilitate random dueling too (among other social aspects). Itemization is being fixed. Endgame is constantly evolving, but at this point it's just as robust, if not more than D2.

I don't expect any game to ever be "perfect." In 20+ years of gaming I've yet to play the perfect game and I'm sure as hell not holding my breath. I see Blizzard being attentive - I see them listening to us. What I also see is a very vocal group of people who have their titties in a twist because Blizzard isn't fixing things in the order they deem necessary and I'm simply not willing to have a mental breakdown over that shit. It's just a very stupid thing to get angry over. I've said it before, and it's yet to sink in, but not all issues have the same ETA. Some problems require more time to fix and I have absolutely no doubt that itemization requires a lot more time than, say, adding pLvls.

At the end of the day I'd much rather play a game that is being actively maintained and updated and obviously headed in the right direction as to a game that has a 40-hour shelf life. It's personal preference, but I've already enjoyed D3 more than most games - and really that's all I ever expected. I don't get emotionally-invested in expectations/hype and, consequently, I tend to not be nearly as critical of minor things. It makes me a happier gamer because I'm not constantly on forums whining that so-and-so company let me down, swaddling myself with bile, venom, and vitriol.

I think you're VASTLY overstating the crossover market. Most of my PC gamer friends really aren't that into consoles and would never purchase the same game twice under any circumstances. Most of my console gamer frineds never bought the PC version of D3.

Why would you think that Blizzard is purposely screwing over the larger segment of their fan base to sell console copies? Hell, I don't even own a PS3, so that plan can't work on me.

    EDIT
Also, as Overneathe said, this paradigm of releasing a game on one platform, then a different platform at a later date has been something prevelant in the industry for a while. Why's it only worthy of ranting THIS time?

Well firstly i have never taken a game seriously.I see people in counter strike cursing and swearing at each other just because they could not kill the other person. For some reason they forget that they're gonna respawn after a short while and have a chance at revenge.I am surprised as to why they take it so seriously.Games for me are a way to escape the competition, stress, monotony, etc of the real life. But if u r creating the same problems in the game, then why play?

But then i met Diablo 2.I started playing in 2007 even though many graphically advanced games were available everything paled in comparison. That was THE GAME for me.After 1 or 2 years in 2008 or 2009 the D3 site came out.I instantly fell in love with the game.I,like every one else got my expectations high up and bought it,but like everyone else except the developers,i was disappointed.

I'm not saying that this game is doomed or dead or something as an expansion will set things right.

Also i talked about pvp, endgame, etc cos you wanted facts.

And yeah i know the crossover market doesn't work like that but most of the buyers of the d3 console version will be those who have a ps3/4 and those who have d3 on their pc's.

    The way you wrote this is like you're asking to start a flame war. You're not really worthy a response to, but the subject in general warrants one so I'll add my two cents;

Your entire point of "D3 was designed from consoles" is obviously false, because they changed MANY core elements to make it work on consoles. So a quick answer to your drawn-out question; No, it was designed for PC. It was then re-designed for consoles.

You said they changed many core elements.Just like i am saying they did.Not only did they change it but they made it better. So what's your point? You say that the console version is different, that they changed some things, that's what i said too.

Infact they made it better than the pc version using the pc version as a standard to determine what's right and implement it and what's wrong and leave it in the pc version.

Actually we would not prefer for the devs to leave out any improvements that have been made to the pc in the console version, but we would prefer the pc version to be on-par with the console version. :)

In all honesty, do we really have to tolerate such ridiculous tin hattery?

There is no proof to support any of these claims, at all. They're just absurd statements that make people get in interwebz fights. For someone to be here asserting that the PC version is sub-par to a game that no one has actually played yet is just a bit over-the-top and way beyond the realm of anything that resembles coherent, intelligent conversation.

I'm all for intelligent discussion that challenges people to think, but this is pure stupidity that brings nothing to the table since the OP clearly doesn't understand how to back up his opinions with facts/evidence. He's just swinging for the fences with the wild accusations at this point.

I think you misunderstand. Item quality is the color of the item. Item power will indeed be increased, as I mentioned. What Insanetrasher suggested up there is that more higher quality (color) items would drop. Which I think is exactly the opposite. Less items will drop in general but they will be more _powerful_. That doesn't mean higher quality (color) items would drop more than lower quality ones. The ratio will remain the same while the power will be increased. E.g. instead of rolling +10 to +80 All Resist with normalized odds you get a much bigger chance to roll above 40. Clear enough?

And use the multiquote feature :/

Ok i thought by item quality you meant its affixes. For eg item with +40 AR is better than item with +20 AR.

I didnt know you were talking about colours.

And sorry i've never tried multiquote but i promise that i'll try it now when im replying to more than one people at once.

The game for PC was clearly altered/"made" for the PC. The game for console was clearly altered/"made" for console. How difficult is it to understand?

The other ridiculous comments are the ones that claim the PC version was just beta testing for the console version. I guess they would prefer for the developers to leave out any improvements that have been made to the PC game since release, because yeah that sure would make a lot of sense.

Again, the dodge mechanic is there probably to compensate the fact that you can be MOVING to one point on PC (by having clicked there) and be able to be pointing (aiming) at another direction. That's just not possible on consoles.

If you're facing an enemy to hit him with a skill and another enemy is preparing a high wind-up attack on you, it takes a lot longer to "direct control" your character out of the way than it takes to "click once" on a place your pointer was already preemptively.

It's an inherent difference between direct control and top-down control on any game. Again, if you've played both you know the difference. It's like comparing the control on a game like Crash Bandicoot and Starcraft 2/Warcraft 3.

And you still don't get the attack speed thing, do you? Might wanna just read my post again and think about what you said in yours.

We'll have to hold off the aiming argument until we are shown how skills like blizzard, meteor, acid cloud, etc play out in the consoles.

And about the attack speed,i get what you said in your post but you didn't get what i said in mine.

The item quality should be the same. I'm pretty sure what they meant was the items themselves are better. As in the affixes are limited to give higher amount of their fixed numbers.

I think the item quality will be better on consoles. For example:-What do i when i want an upgrade?I either farm for it or buy from the AH.

The logical choice here is to buy from the AH since it depends on RNG you may get it in a second or you may get it after years.Even if you get it in a second there is no guarantee that it will be better than your current item.Hence the best choice is AH so that you can choose what you like.

But what about console players who do not have access to the net through their ps3/4? They will have to go online just to buy?No.
They HAVE to be given better drop rates to compensate. And the quality will be better too.

Otherwise the players may ask for refunds.Don't believe me?See diablo 3 in wikipedia and you will find similar situations described there.

I don't think it was made for consoles. I KNOW they have fixed the shit that we (PC) people have been complaining about as a means of polishing it for the Playstation. After all the PC D3 players are still in the Beta Testing phase right...? History shows that we won't get what is due until after the expansion. It's the nature of the beast. No need to vent this or that. Wait for the xpac then Flame if shit still ain't right- hope/wait/quit... Choose one or all three

Yeah i have high hopes for d3 xpansion. But it will still be a testing ground for the console expansion.

For eg:-Let's say Weapon swap ability is given in the expansion.

In the pc version, there will be a 120 second cd(just an example value) because the developers think that the players will swap weapons just before killing monsters for better magic find. When people complain they'll post a "We're Listening" in some post to calm people down.

In the console version, the ability will have no cd.Their excuse for this will be that this is better suited for consoles.

This was just an example,we may never see weapon swap.

Well i didnt see that IGN video but there are 3 explanations for the 2 legendaries in 30 seconds:-

1.The guy had a lot of magic find and nephalem valor.

2.The guy was at a very high paragon level which leads to high mf.

3.Console people have to be given better drops because they cant be expected to go online to buy gear from the AH everytime.Their only source is self found stuff. While us pc players can be treated like shit(i think this is most logical)

If you really think consoles are getting a better version of the game (thats including the fact they play with a controller) than you might just like consoles arpg more than PCs...

I have a proposal for you: If you can show us a video of someone doing MP10 runs on consoles as efficiently as someone on PC (or even just not dying every 30 sec) than I will agree with you.. good luck with that :)

LOL i dont own a ps3 and since ps4 is coming out i'll not buy ps3.But i dont think i'll buy ps4 because im a big fan of the pc.(And im short on cash to buy the ps4 ;) )

And i like pc arpgs better. If i get my hands on ps4 sometime in the distant future though i'll make a vid. :)

Better boss battles-Ok this is nothing outrageous. There are only better camera angles. But there may be better mechanics.
There's nothing "better" about boss battles. The camera isn't "better", it's just suited for console/tv play. I'd hate to see that camera in my top-down PC aRPG.

Better Items-We got this after screaming for 10 months(Remember we still not got it its coming in patch 1.0.8).But console players get it from the start.
Because releasing the game in a year from now without the improvements they're planning for the next few months would make a ton of sense, right? <_<

Dodge-Ok this button is supposed to dodge all attacks, environmental effects and stuff. So i remember some point before the release the developers said we pc players wouldnt dodge if we simply moved out of the attack's way.

A blue post said this although i cant remember which,"Imagine you have the most powerful dodge system. You just move out of the way and you got 100% dodge. You do not get hit by any attack while you keep moving. So moving out of the monster's way while he is performing a melee attack still gets you hit."
The blue post you're "quoting" was talking about the whole feeling that people had that their character model was out of an enemy attack's reach and they would still take damage. They thought that was lag/delay, and it felt really weird.

The Blizzard rep who answered it explained that you can dodge meele attacks, but when an enemy starts an attack and you're in range, you're going to take damage from that attack, obviously because otherwise you'd be able to simply dodge every single meele attack in the game. It creates issues with movespeed and any mobility skills, and the only way to solve this without breaking the combat system would be that enemies have 0 windup animation - which would look horrible (PoE says hi).

The whole Dodge System on the PS3 is probably there to counter the fact that we can instantly move the mouse and click to move the hero away from something. We can be moving to one direction and aiming to another, you simply can't do that. If you've tried any ARPGs on console (Champions of Norrath, X-Men Legends 1/2) you know how hard it is to "position and aim" on consoles in this genre. The system is just to try and narrow that gap down.

And for crying out loud, did you see the range on that thing? It's like 3-5 yards. It's absolutely NOTHING. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill -_-

Direct Character Control-This was mentioned in the video and i saw plenty of it too.
So what? Direct character control? You wanted to play with WASD (4 way movement) on the PC? Or maybe use a console controller? They couldn't offer that obviously because they spent tons of time on the last months implementing and perfecting that (it wasn't there from the start).

The major thing i noticed that there is no attack speed crap in the consoles.Like the barbarian that was shown. He was cleaving very fast which makes it obvious that the speed of the attacks depends on your fingers. That means if you button mash you can cleave very fast.(See Video)
Really, really? So you actually believe you can equip a 2-handed Skorn and it will attack as fast as you can "press the buttons"? You actually didn't see him holding down the X button to attack in that video? You actually haven't noticed the sword in his hand which attacks 1.4 times/second (which is completely in line with what the video shows) or the dual-wield early on which means almost 2 attakcs/sec?

Good Lord in heaven. I'm gonna use your own answer on this one, because this one certainly deserves it.

Or anybody who uses words like "Im not gonna bother replying to you" and acting as if he's the bigger man and im a childish rant who is ruining the forums?
    /ultra-facepalm

1.About camera angles:-That was exactly what i said. The camera angles are better suited for console.I was just wondering if they would get better mechanics, which they already have got.I got no problem with camera.

2.Better Items-Read the post above this one and you will know why i think console people get better items.

3.Dodge thingie-Are you kidding me? What makes you think that when you are moving forward with the analog stick, you cant instantly move backwards?I haven't played the games you mentioned but what makes you think that you can't instantly change direction in consoles?

And its not 3-5 yards its definitely more.See the DH sliding through the fire/Big blades and you'll know.

Oh and about the aim thing..I didnt know you could fire stuff at things while you're running in the opposite direction WITHOUT INTERRUPTING YOU MOVEMENT in the pc version.Oh sorry i must be a real dumb guy.Care to teach me how to do it?I'll be grateful.

4.Attack Speed-Ever heard of a console game where you go to the monster and hold X button until the monster is dead? In console games people mash buttons when they get near a monster because you cant expect them to wait for Y amount of seconds before attacking again. Unless its a game where you can attack while moving like the guns in Devil May Cry(many more examples but i chose this one)

And yes i noticed the dual wield. But how did you know that he had the X button pressed?I didnt see it anywhere in the video.

Oops sorry i forgot you're not gonna bother replying.Sure sure im ranting so dont bother.

Your argument for this doesn't make sense. The console version hasn't been out as long as the PC version, and it won't be released for a while. Probably not for a few months anyway. It will probably be released after the item changes come out, so yeah of course they'll release it with the changes.

It would be pretty silly to release the game and then handball a +100MB patch at them days or weeks after it's release. Especially one with such change in it.

Less items is a console thing.PC people can scroll through many items with ease but console people cant. And you're right but its obvious console's gonna have better items since they are going to stay offline for the majority of the time and their only source is gonna be self found gear.Even after 1.0.8 console people are gonna get better items than us.Ever imagine the monetary loss to blizzard if no one buys the console expansion packs because they have to grind 3 months to find an upgrade? And blizzard doesnt want to lose potential money.

But i still dont know why the fk did we have to wait 10 months(and still counting) for this patch?

    Quote from FoxBatD2

So console people get everything better.

That makes it clear that d3 was designed for consoles.

If it was designed for consoles, they'd have had that stuff in their initially. They added it because they want these adaptations for console, many of which would be bad on the PC.

For the best click to move experience you don't want deep angles like the belial fight. You can hardly see where you are clicking anymore. The zoomed in graphics are also cutting off your field of view, and also restricting where you can aim spells with click-aim. Dodge move is way more natural with direct control because you can point your character at the opposite end of the screen in a flick of a button, much faster than swinging the mouse back away from the mob you're targeting just to indicate a dodge direction. Manual movement-dodging was nerfed largely because that kind of play with the mouse is a pain in the ass. Not sure how the attack speed is working but people mashing their 1 key into the ground is not going to welcome for alot of players and their keyboards, not to mention dealing with the inevitable server lag there vs. offline play.

The PS3 version has no rmah etc. because, as far as I can see, it won't have any online security period. I doubt it will have any AH at all, and effectively public games won't exist unless you don't mind playing with people that have the best dupes of hacked items in the game. Yes there should be offline for PC, but if you're forced to choose between the two, it's really hard to see the console being the indisputably better version here.

Ok i understand your point about the boss battle.I saw the Belial boss battle too.And as i said i dont care about the camera angles.

You said it would be difficult moving in that camera angle in boss fights which is true.Oh but wait the dodge button is available in normal fights too!! Isn't this unfair to pc players? Its like the DHs on consoles dont have to choose the Vault skill.

I didnt know increased attack speed caused server problems/lags.Im wondering now the amount of servers that must have exploded till now./Troll

But seriously if we would have got some freedom regarding attack speed then atleast there would have been more viable 2h weapons than Skorn,or for DHs there would be more viable 2h crossbows than Manticore because the game now depends on your skill rather than the "Diverse" items.

And You gotta be kidding me if you say that there are no hackers and dupers and botters in the game.

No im only talking about unreasonable arguments. If somone comes and tells me about the WD changes in 1.0.4 then i will agree that they're right.Because they're correct. But i've seen some pretty stupid arguments in the forums.

In my dictionary Fanboy is not the same as D3 lover.I've not quit D3.I dont hate it.Anyone who tells me patch 1.0.8 is a step in the right direction is a D3 lover.

Anyone who tells me that the making us wait 8 months for pvp and then giving us this IMBA duel thing is good and asking us to cut blizzard some slack is a fanboy.

I cannot win arguments against someone that is correct. But i can always win arguments against people pretending to be correct.

Edit:And no i dont hate a lot of the users here. My biggest problem is people who act as if the game is in a vey good state. The fanboys do this. The developers do this. But the D3 lovers agree the game has some problems but continue to play it and keep their hopes high up.

And anyway i got 2 acccounts hacked man!!You cant expect me to be gentle with blizz??
