This game is broken at the core. You can add lots of interesting things with patches but the core will never be changed. And when the core is broken, patches won't do shit.
I know it's pointless to write to you, but the core of the game is the combat. And it is the most flawless part of the game and the reason so many people still play it and not one of the competitors, which are now a pretty good number. Don't read "no one plays the competitors" or "everyone prefers D3". It's not what I said.
@sketchfactor
No, competitive PvP is in the works with no ETA.
@JoeShmo
You have great arguments many of which I do support, but many others we've discussed on these forums since before the game's beta. I can't give you a proper answer in here because this is not the place (nor do I have the time right now, sadly). Instead, you bringing valid arguments into our forum threads would make the community much better and you'll see the other side of the coin.
My slightly sarcastic remark was mostly because everything that has been done to D3 the negative part of the fanbase dismisses as "should've been there from the start", which is starting to become quite the hook for them. Paragon levels are unique, the way crafting is done is unique, the skill system is quite unique in its design. Yet these are all things that "should've been there from release (even when some were)". If it wasn't for player nostalgia the game would've headed in a completely different direction imo, but fans just can't let go and Blizzard prefers to listen instead of to improvise and innovate. Funny thing innovation. Everyone wants it but no one likes it when its implemented in a sequel. Ruins the franchise.
Anyway. My point was, stick around and maybe you'll see our crowd isn't so bad.
Oh, mob density was never a problem in D2 because 95% of players farmed about 10 mobs. And in D1? That was 20 years ago, come on.
Yes combat is the most flawless part of the game, but playing the same build again and again does not help.I love Fot:TC for example when playing as monk, but i would really like to give things like deadly reach a try.(And by try i mean something more than using it once every 15 or so seconds just for a dps buff)
Combat is the most flawless part, but it still ain't something exceptional.
And combat isn't the core.Itemization is the core. And you don't make itemization good by adding a few BOA items and targeted legendaries etc etc.
The devs have no idea about itemization. One blue post during the beginning of d3 says that legendaries are not supposed to be the driving force and perfectly rolled rares are supposed to be better while another one before 1.0.4 says that legendaries are in fact supposed to be the driving force.(Which is clearly the case if you look now)And rares are suddenly shit except the super perfect ones of course which are sold in billions.

Well one thing im not a kripp/crapp follower but the things he says are right. He has more experience.
Now if someone better than kripp came along and directly challenged his views then that would be cool.Someone who could crush kripp in gaming. However comments like "Kripp knows nothing" sounds lame from gamers who are still posting on forums about what they should buy with their 300m.
Now im gonna get a lot of posts about how "We got family, kids and wives to fuck(That had really made me LOL hard) and kripp has time." If you not got time, its not kripp's fault he has.Time is required to play games too.
Its like inviting someone to a feat of strength and then whining after losing that he had more time to excercise.
Look im not saying kripp's the best. But i am not at a level to challenge him simply because he has more experience.I have not won every race i have entered in.I have not beat diablo pre-nerf.Kripp has.So he is better.
However if someone along the same lvl of skill as kripp challenged him it would sound more appropriate rather than giving a hint of jealousy.

Sad but true.Even when people hate kripp they keep discussing. And when there's a long discussion going on no one can resist the chance to get his/her own voice in.
People should treat this the same way they treat trade threads about items they don't like. That is ignore.

I am saying that gaming is his job.And whenever you do a job you will want to live a good life. Its natural. After all who wants to live poorly even if they have the money to live a good life???
What i am saying is kripp could earn a lot more if he wanted if he did those razor crapfest mouse ads and all stuff. But he doesn't.
And im not saying he's great and all.All im saying is he could earn a lot more.I wonder why he doesn't do those stuff.
Look im not a kripp follower or something.Just stating the difference between those 2 quotes you quoted.

Add an option 4 which is "both 1 and 2".
Then i would choose that option.
Not saying Wd is bad and all that as he is among my two favourites.............but runes could be better and you shouldn't have to fill half of your skills and passives with mana regen stuff.

What he meant that he has to make some money for survival and while he could make much more money he doesn't.If you think making money for survival is cash grab and all then you won't understand.
And also by survival i don't mean he makes money to barely survive against this harsh and cruel world. He makes enough money to live comfortably while enjoying games.
^^But that doesn't make him an authority in gaming.

Anyways are you on b.net too by the same name? I saw a thread created by a jerk called jock or something like that claiming he beat u in pvp or some other crap.He keeps using the word Butthurt.(For no reason)

Dude, you're fighting a losing battle against the f***oys here.
For example, look at some of the laughable comments i found from different posts:-
Guy A:- Diablo 3 doesn't have that gothic and dark feeling that d2 had.
F***oy Reply:- Oh you want dark and gothic?? Reduce your brightness and gamma!!!!
Guy B:- Diablo 3 doesn't live up to diablo 2.
F***oy Reply:- Then go play diablo 2!!(Although its 10 years old and you paid $60 for d3)
Guy C:- In diablo 2 self found drops were fun.Now the AH has ruined everything.
F***oy Reply:- No one's pointing a gun to your head and telling you to use the AH.You can farm for it.(Although the drop rates are terrible, which leads you against your will to the AH.......unless you're looking for +str or +int dropping million times for a monk item)
And don't forget there are other f***oys supporting them.
About kripp and alkaizer............Dudes you think you are stars?!? Who made you stars? The people who watched your streams.Although 35% of what u said about d3 was right the way u said it gave away that you did not believe your own words. If you wanna speak.........then speak by actions because your words are kinda lame.
The game sucks all right but an expansion will set things right.
And about D3 vs POE, POE wins in effort.By effort i mean that if 18 gamers from nz could compete against a billion dollar company then it is an achievement.Who decides poe is better than d3 or not??We the people. And when many people speak poe as the true diablo 3 then that means it has achieved something.
And by the way if poe devs took the same time as blizzard to make new content, then by now we would have only one class with only one area playable with a lvl 4 cap and no passives and skills.

^^ Exactly.
And i won't trust wikipedia if you guys say so.

And i quote wikipedia:-
Development on Diablo III began in 2001 when Blizzard North was still in operation, and the game was first announced on June 28, 2008, at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris, France.[14] The original artistic design differed from that shown at Blizzard Worldwide Invitational 2008 demonstration, and had undergone three revisions before reaching the standards felt necessary by the team behind Diablo III.[citation needed] The game is being planned for a simultaneous release on both Windows and Mac OS X platforms.[14] It was also revealed that the game would require a constant internet connection to play, even for single-player mode.
And also i had read somewhere that development on "Project Hydra" started in 2001.
And i'm really sorry bro but i trust wikipedia over you.

Then during the first four patches(ie upto 1.0.4) Blizzard realized that even their testing team has quit the game.(I wonder why?? *Innocent Face*)
Then one guy came up with an idea.He was like,"Hey since we have been treating players like shit and since we gotta keep them until the expansions, why don't we let them test the PTR? They have been doing the testing team's job since launch anyway. And this will make them feel as if they matter."
The others were like,"Wow dude cool idea!! Someone go tell one of the developers or one of the CMs to deliver a long blog about how they matter to us and how every voice counts.Don't want the PTR to be empty now,do we?"
And then came the PTR.The blizzard people were like "You.....yes you! get to make a contribution to the game! And you get to play content before the patch hits!!"
So that's why the PTRs are present.
And i must really find my Flame-Resistant suit fast or i'll burn to a crisp.

This is addressed to all Fanboys including Blizz fanboys,D3 fanboys and any other fanboys whatsoever.
Note to mods:- Here the word Fanboy is not used as an offensive term, but to classify the group of people i have hurt. I used this word because i'm apologising to this particular group who were hurt, and this word is used only to make them know that i'm talking about them, not using it offensively.
