posted a message on Is anyone else really frustrated?
If you want to play T6 and/or Greater Rifts a lot, you'll need to min/max and probably play only one or two builds per class.

If you want build diversity, back off the difficulty and have fun.

You can't really do both at once. The math just doesn't make that possible.

There's a lot of players who couldn't care less about T6, and are happy to just play at T1 or T2, and get access to all the torment-only legendaries. Only those who play everything as a competition really care about T6.

I'm pretty happy with the game at the moment. Just remember that by this point in its history, D2 still had TONS of class changes coming. In fact, I'm not sure synergies were even in yet, just a few months after LOD release. Seems like a lot of you (not all) played D2 long after the balance changes were over, and don't remember the mess the game was in the beginning.

Honestly, I think there's got to be some kind of language barrier going on here, because it's pretty obvious that the OP has it backwards. Oh well, I'm out.
Yeah, might as well stop trying to teach the pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.

Highly recommend you to roll a DH. Be careful though :)
I'm having a ton of fun with a lightning build, myself. I think a few more changes will make cold an option as well after 2.1.

posted a message on Greater Rifts are un-rewarding loot wise.
    Quote from Tehstool
Even if they aren't supposed to be the primary source of loot, the "rewards" at the end from completing it don't feel rewarding enough.
Then don't do them. They're for competition, not loot farming. If you want to farm more loot, do more 'profitable' things, and forget about Greater Rifts. Choices are good. Forcing everyone into one thing is bad.

posted a message on About Whimsyshire and the new dificulty
You can run Whimsyshire at any level, if you have any version of the staff. Mobs auto-match your level, just like they do in the rest of the world. I ran it at level 7 on my Monk just to test this, and it worked perfectly. Difficulty only changes how hard they hit, how hard they are to kill, and usually number of elite packs.

I could use the Nightmare staff at 60 or at 7, so I don't think you need any more than the original staff anymore.

posted a message on "A" Dev did not know about lvling 0-60 in roughly 15 minutes...
I don't have a problem with people doing the described quick leveling to 60. I won't use it myself, but, if you want to do it, that's fine.

What I *do* have a problem with is people doing this then they come whining to the forums about being bored and having nothing to do. Don't skip over 50+ levels and then bitch about being bored. Was always my pet peeve in MMOs when people would level as fast as they could to max level, burn through all the raid content available, and then whine that the new expansion or the game had no content, while the average players who didn't do it that way weren't even halfway to max level yet.

So, use the powerlevel if you want, but don't come crying to us if you get bored because of it.

    Quote from PveEast

I'm so pumped about waiting 5 more hours..
That's one of the tricks you learn when you get older...I simply refuse to get annoyed about something I can do nothing about. The servers will be up when Blizzard brings them up, and being angry on the forums won't make it go any faster. Being angry just makes me a pain to be around for a while, and nothing more.

Just let go of it, go play something else, and check every few hours, or go to bed when it's time, and check it tomorrow.

Well, I would suggest to you that people not playing the beta / PTR is not a good example of how boring RoS might or might not be.
Yes, absolutely. The fact that work is killing me right now has got nothing to do with RoS ;-) Actually - once the PTR patch hits, all people will play again like crazy. Until then, I can't really play the wizard the way I like because shield generation abilities are all bugged. And I need them to progress on Torment, kinda (don't wanna go kiting). It's not an RoS problem, it's current beta bugs that let people sit back and wait for patch instead of keep on playing.
Also, I feel I've played the current PTR/beta well enough to know what I wanted to know from it, and don't want to spend a ton more time playing when I don't get to keep the gains. As soon as they patch the beta, or make 2.0 live, I'll be right back to playing it to see what has changed.

I've spoken to several other RoS testers and most of them have stopped playing and lost interest. Even I didn't think it would get boring so quickly, but alas.
I've only stopped playing PTR for the moment because I don't want to completely spoil myself for the 3/25/14 launch of RoS, and also have my attention on some other games for the moment. I have very much enjoyed it, and I am very excited for the launch of RoS. I think RoS will be FAR better than Vanilla ever was, and the end of the AH and BoA legendaries are definitely pluses to it, imo. You may disagree, of course.

I'm in agreement with Bagstone. While there are a few minor things i may not agree with, But I am loving where they are taking this game. Only issue i have is that i have to wait 2 more months! so +1 for Bagstone's post!
Bagstone wrote it all out much more eloquently than I could have. I agree with 90+% of what he said. The things I don't agree with him on are small things that aren't going to change my opinion on the game either way. There are millions of people who bought D3, and they were not united on how good or bad Vanilla was. RoS will be like that as well. Just because you disagree with Blizzard, doesn't mean they are *wrong* in the business sense, or for the longevity of the game for the most people. Just means that the longevity is shot for you and your circle of like-minded friends, which may or may not be as large as you think.
