AFAIK, no, they did not. It's part of the game. Keep searching for that perfect item.

There is no rule that all rare items have to be perfectly itemized. The bad ones make you appreciate the good ones. Melt the crap, wear the good stuff. If you don't like what you have, go kill more mobs.

if not on release but within a month after, they will have some sort of escape feature or lower cast on recall, their will simply be too many people raging about being locked in with no way out, and no option but to lose their char. I can gaurentee even the people disagreeing with me in this post, will change their minds once they get locked in a room with a nightmare+ boss.

If they lose them before hell, then they'll learn to be more prepared, or, maybe run it on softcore so they know what's coming. Or just suck it up and reroll and quit whining.

Rolling hardcore is like rolling on a PvP server. You know what you're signing up for, so deal with it, or play softcore. I'm not saying softcore is only for bad players, lots of people would rather not risk their toon's life on a bad day or lag, but, if you want easy outs, then hardcore D3 is not for you.

On hostility: best decision Blizzard made for D3 was killing it. All hostility ever was for D2 was a playground for griefers. I'm glad it's not there for D3. I don't want PvP forced on me. If I want that, GW2 is around the corner, and/or I have good FPS games to play.

This is just reminding you that there are going to be heaps of people who do struggle with Normal difficulty. Don't assume that everyone is in their mid 20-30s and has played all kinds of games for the last 10-20 years of their life. There will be people who breeze through normal in 30 minutes (maybe?), then people who will literally take weeks. Nothing contradictory there.

There will be people who find Skeleton King challenging. I didn't, but, I played D1 and D2 a LOT, not to mention the last 7 years of MMO raiding. I can move and react, though I'm no twitch FPS player. I think about what skills will work best in a situation etc.

Some people here react to the fact that it's made for people other than themselves by saying "Well, those people need to get better or not play, because I want difficulty set for ME!!" That's not an answer Blizzard is going to listen to. They want to sell the game to everyone, not just *you*, whoever you and your friends are. It just varies how far into the game you'll go before finding it difficult. Some in Normal, some in Inferno, lots in between somewhere.

Also, some don't find 'horribly difficult' fun, and may play for years in Normal. I know people who almost never left Normal in D2. They found it fun. You might not, but that's ok.

posted a message on Playing on Multiple Computers
    Quote from phatosen

You always play on their servers, so chars/items and whatnot automatically gets carried over to your computers. Its bound to your account.
I've installed the client on both my stationary and laptop (stationary counts as two, installed on OS X and Bootcamp), so thats essentially three computers. No problems so far.

Just like WoW or SC2, the Battle.net license model means you can install it on multiple computers with no issue. The only limitation is that you can only play on one computer per B.net license at a time.

    Quote from Mac_an_tSaoir

You will deal more damage with 2 weapons, or a 2h, in comparison to 1h+shield. The shield is for defensive purposes.

Yeah, we won't really know till later difficulties how much the shields are needed. Probably won't need them in normal, but, it looks like it works fine if you want to play that way there, too.

posted a message on Key Rebinding
I bound 1 to the middle button (press the scroll wheel), and bound 2/3/4 to ctrl-left/right/middle. I'm used to using ctrl-<key or click> in my Clique setups for WoW, so it works great for me, and no having to keep track of number keys. The ctrl key is easy, right on the corner, and I'm used to using it anyway.

Of course, I might modify it later, but it's ok for a starting setup now to get rid of the 1-4 binds.

posted a message on if you got the predownloaded version
    Quote from Zen_like

All that will happen is you wont be able to login due to the fact the servers arnt online...the game "releases" at the time blizzard have said, that basically just means thats when the servers come online. Might be a little patch you might need to download a few hours before the game releases or days.

Of course, if you already have the license in your Bnet account, then you just need to install and update on whatever date they let you do it, and you're good to go. Presently, the pre-downloaded installer won't install.
