So with elective mode wizard can use familar dmg boost and magic weapon dmg boost together. The question is hwo come dmg + modifiers are giving me more dmg than stacking intell? A +5-6 dmg weapon for example gives me more dmg then +intell. Intell besides giving resistance doesnt increase wizard spell dmg as much as pure dmg + modifiers any comments? My wizard is holding a barb item with no intel Im lvl 54 and my dmg is 4k, really need someone to commend on which is better stacking intel or +dmg modifers for wizard. Thanks

I play a witch doctor. As far as I can tell, like you said, int is used for gaining damage and resistances. I always try to take int over +dmg because the resistances will come in handy, but sometimes those straight +dmg items are too good to pass up. So in my opinion stacking int is better than stacking +dmg. Vitality is also good :)

But stacking intel gives you much less dmg +90 intel for example isnt even comparable to +5-6 dmg

Besides Mantra of Healing, he/she has 2 more healing spells with two of them in the same category. Its strange that blizzard is giving monk multiple active healings that overlaps. Wonder what it is used for.

Do we really need another "what class will you play" poll? There's been about 100 of these already.

The poll is: what class do you think OTHERS will play. Pointless indeed. Just make the poll like the others instead: "what class do YOU preffere", now everyone can vote for theirselves and you actually get a meaningful statistic.

Now it's just guesswork what you think the big audience would preffere more.

I voted Barbarian because i *think* (based off of no meaningful data whatsoever) most people will preffere him.

I'll play, and preffere Witch Doctor myself the most however.

Btw I really liked Wizard until I saw her disintegration beam, was really a turn off for me. Btw what perks do you have from being a Curse premium member?

I was guessing Barb/Wiz would be the top two, and sure enough they are, not to mention that Barb's #1 by a wide margin. I think it's a case of a lot of people wanting to play D2 characters in an updated/new world.

Isnt there a Monk in diablo 1 hellfire too?

This one is different bro, we need the moderator to pin it up. A class can look really cool, but you may not play it, because it may be underpowered.
    But yet you say:

Dont take into acct whether their op or not because it doesnt matter

You will play a character not because of its looks, but mainly because it is op and such.
I'm sorry to say, but you sir, make 0 sense. You keep on contradicting yourself by first stating that by voting in the poll people shouldn't care if a class is op or not. then you say this poll is diffirent because some people may pick based on wether or not a class is underpowered or not, after wich you completely disregard looks in general (the whole point of the poll) by saying that people will pick based on op vs up...you make my head hurt.

Well those are non overlapping magisterial. Why do you choose a character to play and which character looks cool are different sets of questions.

I have to say that before playing the beta, I wanted to be a wizard pretty bad. But now that I have played it, my opinion completely changed and I like them all. I am kind of curious how many people have an idea what they like before playing it and what they end up sticking with after they play it.

Wow I have the same sentiments as you. But what made you not like wizard as much after you played?

I still like the wizard, but I like all the other classes just as much. It's hard to tell you what I would play if I could only choose 1. But I would maybe choose a witch doctor as a ranged spellcaster if I was forced to choose. WD has alot of flavor.

My point is, there is only so much you can tell about a class by watching the videos. I think people vote Barbarian and Wizard because they look the most fun/flashy from just watching the videos.

So a gamer's perspective is different from an onlooker's perspective, interesting.

The poll isn't what class will you play or what class do you think will be best. I voted barbarian because he with wizard being a close second is definately the most popular class.

Edit - I will be playing DH 1st. I am actually happy its less popular as it means more items/better market for me.

nice dp. Stone of jordan use to be the currency in d2 lol. I reckon d2 is now fully legit, no more hex charm and stuff. Blizzard has really done much for their old games even until now. Kudos to them!

I'm very relaxed. I just can't narrow down which class I like the most. I want to play Monk first, but I definitely don't rate him highly on "overall character design", especially with his lack of attack animations or option to always have his weapons sheathed.

Take a stand, come on you can do it :D

    Wow babarian again !

We will only know the value of items when the real money auction house is actually used by players. As for the poll, I can't decide on 1 "most popular" class so I'm not voting.

Well relax, all of us here must have their own personal preference, so why not share it? Its interesting to see which class turn out to be the most popular in the end dont you think? :)

I want everyone here in this forum to give a vote on this. Vote a class base on how stylish their armor and gear would look on them. And how nice they look in regards to their pose and their overall character design taking into account both their male/female looks. And also their voice overs. Ultimately, which class you think is the coolest. Dont take into acct whether their op or not because it doesnt matter, its PvM in the end anyway.

I want to find out which class equipments would worth more in the real money auctions.

I heard blizzard is shifting diablo 3 to a non permance simplified customization systen.

Ie can we still increase our vit, det, str stats manually when we lvl up?

We dont have a choice of the skills we choose and everything we do to our character is reversible. Is it true?

Well if one plays D3 sporadically, its hard to get the full experience of the game. Its like when you play an hour a day or two o D3 per day, you wont be insync with all your friends whom were hardcore d3 24/7 players like you last time :( If you get what I mean..
