I propose the PvP should include a hardcore version for us hardcore folks. It would be ridiculous to die in a PvP game and then still use that character. That is an insult to us hardcore players.

I am sending in my hardcore PvP suggestion to Blizzard, along with a $10 Paypal donation so they include this feature. Keep a lookout for my Demon Hunter Katniss on Battle.net.

Hah! I love this forum. Sane people comment in the right angle, together.

So True! You go to ign.com and half the posters are haters. Diablo3.com and there are a lot of fans, but also a lot of trolls who got their free copy of Diablo 3 from their annual WOW pass. The community HERE is great!

posted a message on Am I the only one peeved about Magic Find socialism?
By attacking the 1% who stack MF, it is the 99% who really get hurt. MF is great in solo games, but does not scale in multiplayer games. Say, each character puts on armor to enhance their damage to +100. In a four player game, we are looking at an extra 400 damage on the battlefield. Now say each player sacrifices DPS for 100% MF. Instead of 400% MF for the entire party, the party receives only 100% MF. Why invest in an ability that doesn't scale, when DPS scales? And if you are the only MF'er in party, why invest in MF when it gets nerfed 75% in a party of 4? That doesn't make sense. So by punishing the 1%, the 99% of the DPS'ers get hurt.

I think this is a way of making magic items scarcer so the auction house makes more money.

The best two player WD tandem is with the monk, because the monk's healing, mantras, and cc's will help out all of the WD's creations too. Plus the monk can do big damage to individual targets.

I think the OP is onto something here and he provided a solution too...diminishing returns. Basically, once an enemy gets stunned, the next time it gets stunned, it does not stay stunned for as long. There can also be an algorithm saying if an enemy was JUST stunned it is immune to getting stunned again for X number of seconds. That way powerful enemies in inferno can't get destroyed through a constant stun exploitation.

In their 4 years of development on Diablo 3, it never crossed Blizzard's mind a single time that CC (a mainstay in their most popular game) does not have diminishing returns in D3. They never ever thought about people chain-stunning in D3. It was just a completely foreign concept to them. They never ever considered it.

    ...not once!

From Blizzard employee as to whether people can game the system to beat inferno:

5]Ok, not totally, but I think there's some distinction to be made for 'legitimate' ability to beat Inferno, in that, we expect there could be ways, potentially exploits, potentially clever but cheesy mechanics, that could maybe allow a player to complete Inferno fairly quickly. The bet stands as-is, but I think if it could be revised it would be "X time before it becomes farmable", meaning someone can legitimately kill the end boss over and over and over without needing to take advantage of an exploit, or loophole, or some other thing we don't intend to be possible.

Of course we'll try to address any such issue as quickly as possible, but it's feasible that the first Inferno clear will be through use of unintended means. Technically still valid per the wording of the bet, but I think most can agree would go against the spirit of it.

Constant Stunning may be the exploit that the blizzard employee was referencing. So to answer your question,
    maybe not.

Although I rarely see other WD's online, the WD is the most talked about class on the forum. So maybe the harder core people are taking a huge liking to the WD. The least popular (269 forum topics vs WD 375 & 3500 replies vs WD's 5011 replies) is the demon hunter, which to me is the most static/unchanging character class. The WD can be played a variety of different ways and there are a lot of different build types, which will give it lasting appeal.

I totally agree with the OP. I'm on the Beta and the WD was my first character and the experience was underwhelming compared to the other characters. The firebats are fun, but they chew up mana real fast. In the Beta, summoning the dogs is your best bet, but watching your dogs devour the monsters isn't that much fun as it makes you a spectator. I was totally turned off on the WD, until I saw an awesome build on this forum.

Then I realized, more than any other class, this one is going to take the most skill and concentration to really use as effectively as possible. The WD has the most cooldown effects out of any class. So to use this class, you really have to know when to use each ability and keep watch over the cool downs. While the other classes are clicking away, you have to manage mana AND multiple cool down effects and know when to use each ability. It's going to be fun balancing it all out.
