So I was on the american forum when I saw this:
As you can see there is a response from Grimiku.
The thread is this: http://us.battle.net...opic/9728912961
Luckly I was fast enough to read his post but not fast enough to get a screenshot of it, because it's now deleted.
I can assure everything I'm gonna say is what I've seen with my own eyes.
Basically Grimiku explained what Nephalem Trials are.
For the "lore side" they are places "guarded" by Ancestal Nephalems while for the "gameplay side" they are portals that the player can find around whole Sanctuary.
When the player gets in he has to do a trial and the rewards are based on the difficulty of the trial itself and on the "player's efficiency".
Does it reminds you something?
Well.. it reminds me of this: http://www.diablofan...-hells-portals/
Burning hells portals... oh yeah

Zero(pS) posted a message on = Official Info = [Reaper of Souls]23/08 - Disclaimer: the post will be updated with everything known so far (interviews, details) and re-edited as soon as possible. Probably tonight, in a couple hours.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Confirmed info straight from Gamescom.
Reaper of Souls confirmed to be the D3 Expansion.
= This is a much "darker" expansion.
Cinematic link is below. Story spoilers, obviously.
Gameplay teaser!!! Watch it naow!!!
Longer Crusader gameplay/lore video (10~ minutes!!!)
Story spoiler
Malthael, formerly the Angel of Wisdom, becomes the Angel of Death, and now seeks to destroy Humanity/Demons (conflicting info).
= Malthael can turn the dead against their loved ones.
= Can drain the souls from his victims, being death incarnate. Still has wings, but skeletal ones.
Westmarch seems to be the setting for the New Act.
= More medieval feeling
= Cemeteries and other unique places
New Class: Crusader
= Inspired by the Paladin.
= Focuses on Shields. Uses Flails as weapons.
= Mid-range melee character.
= Apparently uses Wrath as a resource.
New Monsters
= Seraph
= Summoner of the Dead
= Executioner
= Death Maiden
Level Cap increased to 70
= Every class gets new Skills and Runes.
= Which means a fresh economy and new power-cap as well.
New Artisan (Mystic)
= Can Transmogrify items, so you don't have to sacrifice looks for power.
= Item Enchanting - allows to reroll one of the affixes on a rare/legendary item.
Loot 2.0
= Smart Drop - chance that the affixes on items dropped will match the character you're playing.
= Less overall drops - more meaningful ones (open spoiler for comparison between Vanilla D3 and Expo)
= Legendary will be build-changers.
= Example Legendary: God Butcher
Loot Runs
= 15-20 minutes Dungeons - these are completely random.
= Random Weather!
= Random Enemies!
= Random BOSS!
Nephalem Trials
= Nothing about this so far.
Paragon 2.0
= Is now Account wide.
= No longer has a cap (?!!)
= Seems to have Stat Allocation tied to it
Feel free to discuss these here, but let's all try to keep the it focused (and not go over the subjects that were discussed to death already)

Rencol posted a message on Hardcore AH out of controlPosted in: Hardcore DiscussionQuote from Twoflower
That's no different than SC. Prices on HC are just 1000 times higher, both for selling and buying.
Yes, you can make a few 100k from selling leveling items. But once you hit lvl 60 you realise that even the most common set and legendary items ( like IK boots for example ) cost 20 million...
Yep, then dont start with top set and buy normal rare... thats what Hc is all about - slow progressing and enjoying the game where you still have something to look forward. -

Just looked at my 580 hours played; Auction House built Witch Doctor.
Can´t get anything sold, unlucky drops and just think its about time to call it
There is so much loot you can only sell the best of the best.

Idk I think we have to just accept the truth. The game when it was launched was shit. They catered to the extreme minority who just wanted to run back from the GY, and it made for a shit game. Almost everyone hit inferno and just stopped...It was gay as hell.
If the game launched with patch 1.07, then I am sure it would be doing amazing right now. Too bad it didn't....
I mean hell there is more going on about diablo on this site 6 months before it launched then there is now...
No. Your nerd-rage has obviously blinded you.
They catered to the majority of it's playerbase.
End of story.
WTF are you talking about? They didn't leave the D2 logo so they catered to the casuals? lol
Inferno was stupidly badly designed just for the morons who thought they knew what they wanted. Blizz, displaying an amazing amount of stupidity, actually listened to this 0,00000001% and made inferno damn near impossible.
Then the game launches and these keyboard warrior losers get to inferno and die over and over. The only way to kill champions was to die over and over. It was absolutely terrible, but its exactly what they said they wanted. Massive QQ ensued, and they rage quit along with all the so called casuals. -

play the game you like not the game others like. I for one still play diablo, on a daily basis even, I enjoy it. if you think you've done everything in sc then deffo go hc, it's so refreshing! altough I originally wanted to clear hardcore for achievements, I do go back every now and then and kill stuff there aswell. population is not gone, far from it. we are still here and we'll be, I know I will
I do play games I like but...... when the game is all about loot and that loot is founded on the use of an AH with prices only like 1% players can afford......
Don't get me wrong I like the game it's self but, the economy that the game is chained to is not in good shape by any means.
Also those that don't want to use and/or suck at playing the AH game are kinda SOL in D3 even with the 1.0.7 crafting patch. (IMHO)
I agree the prices seem totally out of whack. I heard there was some kind of exploit that let players have infinite gold at one time, but idk if that is true.
Ok, I have played for about 3 weeks total, not played time. I just recently got the 5 million gold achievement.
3 weeks = 5 million gold picked up.
The Best of the best weapons and what not will run 2 billion gold. 2 BILLION!
2 billion / 5 million = 400 cycle of 3 weeks = 1200 weeks = 23 years
At my current rate of collecting gold it would take me 23 years to pickup 2 billion gold.
WTF?!? -

Ascendo312 posted a message on Worst recent Blizzard Product Launch?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I was around for D2 absolutely. Apples and oranges. D2 was worst, however that was 12 freaking years ago! Most players were on 56Kbps dial ups back then. And you had the option to play OFFLINE!Quote from AudioCG
Ahahahaha
Were you around for WoWs first expansion? Or Diablo 2 for that matter?
People couldn't reliably play D2 for a week. (online obviously)
I lot has changed. Blizz is now part of a $5 billion dollar corporation. D3 was the top selling pre-ordered PC game on Amazon...they knew it was going to be a big surge on launch day. No excuses IMO. -

burninfate posted a message on Seperate launch times by regionAnother option is to just let the game come out in seperate time zones and wait until the 15th, in whatever region you located in. If you honestly cannot wait six more hours after years, there is something wrong with you. If getting first 60 really means that much to you, think of it this way, it will be based on region, not world. You can simply do math and subtract six hours or however many hours from their release vs your own. I do not see any problem here. Go outside for six hours before you become enslaved to your computers for months on end.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion -

FingolfinGR posted a message on Some D3 concerns & questions.Didn't count the time I was idle, but around 30 minutes should be right. Last time it happened to me was for the duration of a LoL game that lasted around 45 minutes.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
When paused, you're considered idle anyway. -

FingolfinGR posted a message on Some D3 concerns & questions.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion- Pausing. Can you pause D3? I read you cant and the closest thing to it is finding somewhere safe (town I presume) and... just standing there, which leads me to my next point.
Yes. When playing alone, pressing "escape" gets you to the options and pauses the game for you. Going to town is pretty good too, since you get Town Portal quite early too.
- Autokick. Will you get kicked from inactivity?
Yes you are. Pretty much like in WoW, or even in Diablo II. When you stand idle too much time you get kicked. The quest progress is saved, though, so you can resume from the closest checkpoint when you get back.
- Saving. Can you save at any point, or do you need to find a checkpoint?
Character data is saved whenever there's a change, so it's like... all the time. "Save and Exit" doesn't even exist anymore, it's just "Exit". Save happens all the time.
- Checkpoint Availability. I also read that sometimes checkpoints can be VERY far between... like 2 hours in some cases. More time than I usually even spend playing on a week night.
In the beta they're pretty close to one another. Consider that the beta is about 3 hours if you explore every corner and kill every barrel (in addition to the monsters etc) and there's lots of checkpoints in it. I'd say there's a checkpoint every 10-15 minutes, but I could be a little off. Certainly not over 20 minutes, though. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I don't care about Blizzards technical issues, thats not my problem. They are a company like any other, selling a product that I have purchased that so far doesn't work. They have chosen to make a game that requires internet and server access even for a single player experience. I have no issues with technical issues when I'm trying to play online multiplayer but this... is just ludicrous.
I have a wife, young daughter and a demanding job and my time is very precious and for this reason I have actually taken time off work to play D3 as I have very little time to do it in my day to day life. I don't want to go for a walk, get something to eat or chill out. I had taken time of work, using holiday pay and causing more work to go back to tomorrow for nothing.
In about 30 minutes It'll be time to go and pick up my daughter, put on some dinner and then it'll be back to daily grind tomorrow and trying to squeeze in an hour each night of free time to play D3... thats if its working of course.

There were 2x distinct glitches in the game that enabled gear to be easily duped(licated) and to also level up quickly.
Before long brand new players were everywhere and in top level gear that could take up to 4000+ to find, completely kitted out before they had even played the first act.
I couldnt count the amount of times a player, covered in Epic/Rare gear would be completely ignorant and misinformed about how the game was made, inlcuding skills, proc rates, class bonusses, weapon bonusses etc, etc.
Suffice to say that it was hillarious when you see guys that look so pretty in their new (illegal) armour DIE every 2 minutes.
I think D3 will be the same. Gear aside, if you dont know how the skills work, what enemies are the biggest threat, understand the relationship between skills, classes and gear then you will fail.
2
Well I did some math on Frenzy+Maniac Vs Bash+Onslaught.
Comparing these 2 skills has to count the total number of attacks for each Skill within the same amount of time. Using anything less than 1 attack (.15% of an attack for example) for calculations in inaccurate. Using IAS (Increased Attack Speed) is also inaccurate.
This is what I came up with..... and I think its pretty accurate.
_____________________________________________________
1 sec - 110%
.85 sec - 114% -- (224%)
.70 sec - 118% -- (342%)
.55 sec - 122% -- (464% -- 3.1 sec -- Bash has done 582%, striking 3 times Vs Frenzy's 4)
.40 sec - 126% -- (590% -- 3.5 sec -- At this point Frenzy has struck again before Bash can)
.25 sec - 130% -- (720% -- 3.75 sec -- Frenzy has stuck a 2nd time before Bash can)
.25 sec - 130% -- (850% -- 4 sec -- Bash has now Hit for 194%, much less than Frenzy's 130% however, Frenzy has struck a total of 3 times more in the same amount of time, resulting in more damage being done)
Total Damage in 4 seconds = 850%
Damage in the following 4 seconds once Frenzy has stacked is as follows. Total = 2080%
1 sec - (4x Attacks @130) = 520
1 sec - (4x Attacks @130) = 520
1 sec - (4x Attacks @130) = 520
1 sec - (4x Attacks @130) = 520
Total Damage in 8 seconds = 2930%
_______________________________________________
1 sec - 194%
1 sec - 194% -- 388%
1 sec - 194% -- 582%
1 sec - 194% -- 776%
Total Damage in 4 seconds = 776%
Total Damage in 8 seconds = 1552% (damage simply doubled, no modifiers applicable)
_______________________________________________
What this basically means, is that unless an enemy is destroyed by Bash+Onslaught in 3 strikes or less, Frenzy+Maniac does more damage.

Ugh... you really should proof read if you're going to critique someone's grammar. You know... words like 'alos' may ALSO be very confusing for those whose who have a second primary language. Using a comma tends to help with sentence structure as well...
"setting your playing on the game is awsome" may be confusing for said people, just like the word 'gammer'.
Just saying.
