    HWARGH(#$%^&( ONLY 8 PLAYERS IN D2, HEBLARMGH!#$(%
Just sayin, your argument, on the assumption it exists, is dated.

I remember forum posts insisting on ridiculous numbers back in the day.
If I recall correctly as well, pvp may offer the potential for 4on4.

Rubies specifically offering +exp gain (+31% radiant star) seem a little curious. Though the bonus only comes from socketing in helms. Actually... on later thought, if those top tier gems are rare as suspected I suppose socketing them in a rusty horned bucket might not be so wise.
Well, since you can just pull them back out of that rusty horned bucket when you get something better, there's really no downside to it...

Was just poking though and noticed that the gems all seem to have a level 1 requirement.

On the other hand, 20-40 damage seems a little meager for being the top tier, though more than one could definitely be quite the improvement.

Related note; Do we know which items will be socketable or is it as the official page suggests and is limited to helms and weapons? I recall seeing socketable armors in some outdated material. namely Natalya's shadow. here, http://www.diablo3wa...-from-diablo-3/

posted a message on Monk Spotlight Video is up
Is it just me or does it sound like all the character spotlight videos are a little rushed. It sounds like they're having the world's greatest movie narrator read some generic blizzard press release sheet. Just saying, it sounds souper cheesy. It's gotten better, the DH one had me cringing, but this monk one is mostly bearable.

posted a message on F*ck Contemporary Art
Yeah, I would generally have to agree that a lot of modern ( contemporary) art can be pretty moot. I'm sure a hundred years from now it might be summed up as representative of the chaos of our times both socially and personally. I've heard this justification for Mondrian and Pollack, and, well, a lot of pseudoart. That rockwell piece is technically no better than the pollack it's criticizing but then again, still a different time. What's sad is that in our modern era a lot of what is called art depends more on who you know and what kind of bullshit you can spin. As for me, i doodle. could someone eventually come up with a like of BS about it, probably. Will I rise as a zombie to gnaw his brain? Yesh, that's the plan. And actually, I think Mondrian pretty awesome although his earlier tree studies are probably more appreciable than the later work he is known for.

    sorry...shameless plug, cant help it

Another idea I was thinking about, which might not be that popular would be to funnel all the gold and magical items to one character, and that character plans in advance when it's smartest to go craft new items. So if one character gets all the blues and gold (the blues that people aren't wearing lol), you'll get the best craftable gear nonstop. Have one guy in charge of that.

And to make up for it, when everyone is level 60 in that group, the group just funnels the money through the rest of the members to get everyone's Blacksmithing to the same level, so no one will feel left out.

Good idea, I had it myself but wan't really sure whether it's all go from the rest of the membership especially since were not really a clan persay.

However, I do support this on a voluntary donation basis in terms of gold, plans, PoT's etc... actually, still up in the air about what to do with the rarer plans (set plans and the like) but that, i suspect, is a long way off.

Hrm.. This zooming might just be a new brand of hardcore. Been playing Diablo 1's The Awakening mod recently and there is a zoom mode there too. Graphics go down the toilet but it's even tougher that it already is. I cant get any farther than the catacombs usually what with the permadeath and annoyingly tough mobs.

If you're up for a challenge and taking slow meandering walks everywhere, this might just be your piece of bread.

I PM'd RP but I'm the other stray WD select. Otherwise a brief introduction. I'm 28, did play D1 and 2. Lvl ~85 for all the d2 classes several times both solo and small groups at /players 8. Last MMO I played was UO and that was.. hah, back in 97-99, I bet some of the kids here weren't even born then. I get a few weeks off of school until early june so I'm more or less free to play at my leisure. Otherwise looking forward to a good time.

My WD plans are supportive but I'm looking at non-persistent summons, CC, dot focus, buff-debuffs, etc, viability up in the air though as no beta and no release yet, we'll see.

On a side note, what is it with the navy and witch doctors, coincidence? Oh, right, I'm a veteran of the "global war on terrorism", got the medals to prove it, rofl.
