Yeah... I've had 5 drop in the past 40 hours... how can anyone think 1 / hour is normal?

Full MF and kill fast! I think with max MF, and provided you clear A3 in about one hour, you can count on getting roughly 1 leg/hour.

Perhaps, but I prefer to play like a barb, not some nancy whirlwind spewing kiting class.

So just to be clear, your argument is "I'm playing my class the 'right way', therefore nothing you say is correct" ?

    How am I doing?

Don't really have trouble in act 3 except for extra health/reflect dmg, other than that everything is pretty cake walk.

Well i would hope you're not having trouble in A3 considering you're using a 1112dps onehander. But I must ask, if Act 3 doesn't give you any trouble, then why haven't you completed it yet?

If it makes you feel better, I've gotten like 12 or more legendaries and every single one is useless. And yeah you'll see level 50-59 gear everywhere, it's no different in a3 inferno

    So, the blog said that:
Ignoring passive Life regeneration, this means each Zombie Dog will always be able to take at least 5.5 hits (21,200 [Life] / 3850 [damage])
    I'm calling bull crap.

Unless the dogs summoned by a rune or passive ability are weaker than your active skill zombie dog, they get 1 or 2 shotted by charging rhino things in Act 1. I chose the GoD ZD rune that gave a 10% chance for one to be summoned if something dies in that area. This feat is surprisingly difficult post Act 1. And they die so quick, it doesn't matter anyways. The 80% slow rune is still the best for GoD. And mixed with WoZ, it almost feels like cheating.

However, gargantuan with the cleave rune is a wrecking machine. He can do Act 1 himself, without any interaction by me. He still stands in the way of wasps in Act 2 and dies rather suddenly; making his usefulness post Act 1 questionable. The 130% damage is simply overpowered.

Spider Queen is too slow to be effective; but set it on something that stands still and she's a real nuker. That's for sure. But there just aren't enough of these around.

It's very clear that you're gearing incorrectly for pets. Put on some resist all and stack armor and even a shield then just spam Horrify:Frightening Aspect, their stats which are based on your own update dynamically(in real time) instead of being a snapshot of when they were summoned so spamming the 100% extra armor for them on top of stacking armor makes them very impressive. If you need extra healing, the Healing Journey rune does in fact count as regen so it's very helpful to your pets in conjunction with Fierce Loyalty.

PS: faster weapons = far more life on hit per point of life on hit so buy faster weapons and try to get at least 400 LoH on each one.

Change Serenity rune to Ascension(life on hit should top you off by the time it ends anyway) and for "progression"(aka stuff you still struggle with) content you should probably use Deadly Reach:keen eye + Mantra/Evasion:hard target and do a bunch of kiting. Thunderclap + Overawe is typically just used for stuff you already outgear, while keen eye + hard target is used for content you undergear, anything in between those two points your first change out should be from Hard Target to Overawe and then continue to work up gear to be able to change from Keen Eye to Thunderclap.

Also, a very good piece of advice I had once heard explained is that rather than looking for the best piece for each slot, it's much cheaper to find the best piece -1 per slot. That's probably poorly worded, so I'll give an example.

Amazing stat combinations will always cost amazing amounts of gold; for the following example please know that all numbers are chosen arbitrarily. Let's say you want some rings with +crit and +critdmg on them. To get two rings that each have 2% crit and 20% critdmg will cost you a small fortune, let's say 3mil each, just for giggles. If you instead get one ring with 4% crit and the other ring with 40% critdmg will cost you significantly less, probably closer to 400k, and yield the same stats total.

If you make each piece of your gearset weak/absent in one of the highly desired stats, and alternate which stat is weak/absent in each piece of gear, then you will end up with a very potent full set while spending considerably less money. I used the crit vs. critdmg example because having both crit AND critdmg both on a single piece of gear is extremely expensive.

Lastly, it would be very helpful if you look up a stat spreadsheet that shows max possible values per gearslot so you can decide which pieces you should focus on a specific stat for. I'm too lazy to look up and post one but they've been on the front page multiple times.

    Good luck to you.

i've gotten the super awful, lowest tier, level 60 pattern for terribad shoulders and shield several times. I've been farming A3 for over a month(maybe two) now and haven't gotten a single pattern so good luck to you. I've gotten a number of set pieces but not in any significant fashion. We're talking like one every 3 weeks or so and the stats are always as bad as can be; int on barb items and strength on wiz items. Good job blizzard.

Although i did get a Nat's gaze once that sold for 2.5million

    Quote from camatx

Without a doubt Guild Wars 2. From playing the 3 beta weekends so far, I have to say it's just superior to diablo in every way :/
And I have never played WoW, but it seems like it has it's own problems and I wouldn't be thrilled paying a subscription fee for a mostly PvE game.

PvP is my main attraction, and GW2 is completely structured around PvP, while also having amazing PvE (most games are the other way around unfortunately, or having no PvP at all)

GW2 seems very limited, the idea of skills associating with weapons is neat but you don't get to choose the skills. There aren't like 20 sword skills and 20 axe skills to choose from for their respective weapon. It's "you are using a sword, your first 5 skill slots with be this and only this" which is aggravating.

This fact, while frustrating, was one I was actually willing to look past, trying to keep an open mind because I admire that they're trying something unique. My real issue with GW2 was when I was wondering why it seemed to take far longer to level from 5-6 or 6-7 than it should in a game that has 80 levels. Don't jump to conclusions, I'm going somewhere with this.

So the extremely low level leveling process seemed to be counter-intuitively taking longer than it should, all things considered (I've played many mmo's and the like). What could be the solution to this mystery? I kept exploring the beta anyway. Finally, while just trying to explore the different features I discovered, to my horror, that they implemented a "Pay To Win" system that they call something like "Black Lion Trading Post". The point can be argued that it's not a necessity to play the game but it's hard to believe that when it the leveling process actually feels like they hamstring your xp gains just so that you'll buy the bonus xp buffs with real money in a game you already paid for. There's even a buff that you buy with real money that increases your MF by 50%, like you would ever want to be without that buff. With things like this added, nobody can convince me that the game isn't "pay to win" like most quote unquote "free" games.

TLDR: I prepurchased gw2, during the beta I discovered they made it pay2win even though it's a game you have to purchase, immediately decided to get a refund(their customer service was spectacular though)

*edit - I thought it might be noteworthy to add that I absolutely loved GW1 and wanted with all my heart to enjoy GW2 but...eww

How are you guys making your $$? My stuff isn't moving at all. I price lower than the market and it still doesn't sell. How do price appropriately?

This is symptomatic of people who over value shitty drops simply because it's their shitty drops. My friend complains about this saying the gear he's trying to sell is just as good as the gear he wears, but the gear he wears is hardly better than whites so...

    Low damage

A point of curiosity; it's quite rare that I see an OH with more than 100 low-end damage, and while 316 high-end isn't amazing, it's far from breaking the item. So to accuse it of being low damage to the point of mediocrity I must request a screenshot of what you consider even a slightly "above average" OH to compare damage. And yes, having a relatively high low-end damage makes a non-negligible difference.

This, and MF, and the crit is a bit low

I run with an OH with higher damage that has 8.5% crit, 18% MF, and more vit.

The kicker is that i got it for only 250k. Please note this is not meant to be a reflection on your price, which I think is reasonable. I just think the guy who put mine on the AH had downs or left out a 0, in which case I'd say he has downs again.
