posted a message on Do Elitist players ruin games?
Depends on the game, some games, especially e-sport ones it is acceptable to a certain degree. eg. yeah they may not be nice, but your probably going to learn from them.

On the other hand you have console or PC elitists etc, they drive me up the wall thinking they are the best.

My previous girlfriend played wow too, so if I got something she didn't have eg. violet proto or a stone drake from the 5man she would send me on a guilt trip to hell, so much so that if I ever used it she'd literally stop talking as much to me... seriously... After I got them she wouldn't even let me help her get hers either because she suddenly claimed she didn't want it any-more.

Bashiok commented on a similar post to this on the official forums and he seemed to be saying the surprise is the final unlock which will probably be another CGI trailer of some sort.

    Processor - AMD FX(tm)-8120 Eight-Core Processor
    RAM - 8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3
    Mother Board - ASRock 970 Extreme3
Graphics - AMD HD Radeon 6950
Case - Shinobi (cant remember the model)
    Monitor - HP2159 (1920x1080@60Hz)
    Keyboard - Logitech G15
    Mouse - Razer Naga
Headphones - Razer Electra <-- Amazing

I bought this in jan this year for just under $1000AUD, I was originally going to go all out on a $2000 rig but I realised this thing could run 90% of the games coming out these days at ultra / max settings anyway. So far the only problems have been BF3 at full ultra (I can turn some things down and get back to 40fps+) and witcher 2 with the uber setting.

Still not sure why I ended up going with AMD, but i've had no problems so far

That video was entertaining to watch and I wish there was a way to turn this into an e-sport without ruining the game in anyway but there isn't without pulling something drastic tbh.

Ill still be PvPing lots though, it wont stop me and im sure there will be private ladders to join for Pvp too if I wanted to take things to a new level. Though I wouldn't be able to really do any till I hit level 60 and max out as much as possible on gear.

5pm on the east coast of Australia :) Mines at 4:30pm in south Australia

    Quote from Axzan

Isn't it better for SEA countries to connect to the Asian server instead of the NA server? Anyone know why SEA countries are being defaulted to the NA server?

There are many reasons, one being anyone who plays WoW cant play with their American friends, another being the majority of us cant speak asian languages so the community is split in half (this happens in SC2). Australia also has a low population compared to america too, so why wait 10 mins for a group when we can wait 10 seconds on american servers? :P

That being said though, I dont know why we are defaulted to your servers, I do know its the preferred servers for most Australians though

posted a message on After Open Beta: List The Classes
Demon Hunter When ever I was playing another class, deep down I knew I wanted to play this one because I found it so fun.
Barbarian Smashing demons across the screen never has felt so satisfying and literally felt like a super hero.
Wizard This class was lame until level 13, once all the level 10+ spells and runes were unlocked, people were telling me initially how cool it seemed.
Monk The later abilities after the beta seem great, but I didn't enjoy the majority of skills in the beta.
Witch Doctor This class gained lots of potential in the last 3 levels, however it still didn't pull me in.

Even though I listed Barbarian as second, my play order will be Demon Hunter, then Wizard. Wizard seems to be getting the least attention, and hopefully if people see epic abilities coming from end-game characters in groups, maybe they will decide to roll one too.

posted a message on Why did Blizz ruin Diablo by limiting it to 4 players per game?
    Quote from Aulderon

No, the dumbest freakin' thing they could possibly do is require a constant internet connection!! My god, seriously??? It's not an online game unless you want it to be one AND THEN you should (obviously) have an internet connection. Eight years! I've been waiting for this game for eight years -- the waiting, the hype, the waiting.... and it SUCKS!!! (awesome graphics, though) But seriously... no character customization, no zooming in or out, and... click to move? I understand that the original Diablo was click to move, I understand sentiment, tradition, what have you, but PC gaming has advanced. The game is VERY dissappointing in my opinion, especially the constant internet connection requirement. Diablo 3 plays like a game that was developed 10 years ago with modern day graphics. Where's the advancement, the evolution of PC gaming? Didn't Blizz make WoW? What... is their Diablo 3 department where they put the newbie programmers before they graduate to the WoW department?

So... if there's a storm in my neck of the woods (pretty common) and my internet goes down (also common) I can't play Diablo like I'm used to playing Diablo? I'm subject to server down time for a game that's not an online game unless I want it to be an online game? I have to put up with lag for a game that's not an online game unless I want it to be an online game? I have to wait in a queue because the server's full for a game that's not an online game unless I want it to be an online game? When I played Diablo 2 I played on Battlenet exactly once; I usually played it by myself or with a friend on a private network -- it's not an online game! Unless, of course, I want it to be an online game.

Am I ever gonna use Diablo 3's online auction house? No, I like finding my own stuff and I don't really care about putting the crap I find on the AH. Am I ever gonna play on Diablo 3's public servers? No, I can't imagine sharing that small of an environment with a bunch of rude and careless newb's, especially when I think about how rude players were and how cut-throat WoW became after just a couple of years (who can forget the dicks that went AFK while sitting on a mailbox in Org. on their mammoth war mounts?)

Diablo has always been a game that I played while unwinding after a busy (or even not-so-busy) day, before going to bed and usually ended up playing too long (and not getting enough sleep) because I enjoyed exploring a zone and kept logging out and resetting the zone so I could explore it again -- alone, and occasionally with a friend.

Am I gonna buy Diablo 3? No. After all the waiting and all the hype, I expected too much and am too dissappointed with it -- if it didn't require a constant internet connection, I'd buy it just to relive the good ol' days and, out of curiousity, see what's new in the game, but I'm too bummed out with the way it came out and the constant online thing is just too much for me.

    Ah wow.
    • Internet connection stops hackers, so blizzard can constantly monitor the game so the real money auction house doesn't get screwed over by hackers.
    • No character customization? We play as a character with a background and story, not a random character we can make up like in WoW.
    • You can zoom in by pressing z.
    • Click to move helps make the game unique over other games (in my opinion)
    • No one cares about your lack of internet, we are in the second decade of the 21st century, your in the extreme minority of gamers who don't have access.
    • No one cares that you don't want to use the Auction house either, since the majority of players do, and it stops online sites from scamming players to buy items off them.
    • I agree with the thing you said about WoW, its why I quit because everyone was just a backstabber.
Sure, its not the best game in the world, but it will be excellent to pass time on boring days where there is nothing better to do.

Yeah my pinky hurts lots when I play BF3 due to the constant crouching.

Anyway, since you don't need SPACE in this game, you could probably swap it with LSHIFT
