posted a message on Open Beta changed my perception and view on classes.
    Pre beta
    1. wizard
    2. demon hunter
    3. barb
    4. monk
    5. witch doctor

    Post beta
    1. wizard
    2.witch doctor
    3. demon hunter
    4/5 monk and barb

I didn't enjoy the melee class at all, the barb was stupid easy and the monk was super strong too. I had a terrible time trying to kill the skeleton king on the monk the first time around, it was just a constant run in and hit a few times then gtfo. I found myself using breath of heaven on cd and spirit management was poor. Of course this was at level 8, after a few more levels it was cake. The wizard i thought had awesome damage, awesome CC, and awesome survivability. I went toe to toe with the king at level 8 on my wizard and just popped diamond skin when he ported to me and wave of forced his adds. The witch doctor wrecked the king also, with grasp of the dead and horrify used together his adds never moved from where they spawned and sure as hell didn't threaten me at all.

I was also surprised at how the demon hunter turned out. hungering arrow is awesome, and rapid fire dominates just about anything! I didn't find myself using vault at all but rather just kiting on a path through caltrops. Again, a very very easy king kill at level 8.

I hate to say it but on the barb i actually got bored around level 6 and it was the second character i leveled. Yet over the weekend i logged about 10 hours on the wizard and never got bored once. Different strokes for different folks thats for sure.

posted a message on Deckard Cain (spoilers if you havnt played beta)
i really don't think leah will be the new diablo. I think that adria returns and that she is the new diablo.

I don't have all my sources off-hand but here is what i THINK will happen as the game plays out.

Cain dies and Leah picks up where he left off in figuring out how to acquire and use the black soulstone. Adria returns, stuff happens and she ends up being Diablo's host. She WAS a witch, i don't know if that would make it easier to corrupt her body or not. She IS Leahs mother and i think it will end up being that Diablo, as Adria, will try to deceive Leah and lead her off the path of finding the black soulstone rather than corrupt her.

Of course sooner or later it will shift to Tyrael being banished by Imperius who has gone completely whacko with power and has been "corrupted". I think that defeating imperious is going to be a big deal in later acts, probably act 4. There was some data mined info about Diablo being in the high heavens trying to corrupt something very important there that has some connection with the worldstone.

I would like to think that since Tyrael's sword cannot harm any Righteous being that since Imperius becomes corrupted he can actually hurt him. It would be cool to fight with Tyrael for once. Or hell, it would be sweet to fight with Tyrael against Diablo.

Really there are so many things that could happen with the storyline you could drive yourself crazy coming up with conclusions. Im sure they have something badass planned out. That 100% unlock might provide some insight as to what we might expect in the latter part of Act 1 as well as 2,3,and 4.

good feedback, it's really weird how watching gameplay compared to playing the game can affect peoples decision on their favorite class. the WD is just outrageous CC, i just got out of a public game on my wd and I'm so impressed at how much control it has over everything even in a 4 player setting.

makesh- arcane torrent rips stuff apart, i love it. it is like the wizard version of rapid fire with an aoe component. i can't wait for the game to go live!! these next few weeks are going to be even harder now that I've had a chance to play it.

of course i did get lucky and my ring vendor had keen ring of wounding up :) that boosted my dps a ton.

So like many people out there i was not one of the lucky few to receive a beta key for diablo 3 so this weekend i have been playing it like crazy and loving it.

I have played every class through the entire beta and after that experience there are a couple things that stood out to me.

Monk- i was very excited about the monk and was really expecting to be in love with this class from all the footage that I've seen. It is very fun to play when you're killing the elite packs and small trash mobs, but on my first run of the skeleton king with the monk i felt like it took forever to work him down. I fought the king at level 8 on every class, and had the hardest time staying alive on the monk.

Barbarian- maybe melee classes aren't my cup of tea anymore. I was ALL about the melee builds in D2 and had a frenzy barb that i loved to play. I got bored with this class pretty quick. It's a great class if you like smashing everything in to oblivion, it felt too easy for me. of course it is act 1 normal but the barb just makes everything his bitch after the first few levels. Im sure this is a class ill be leveling up as i am sure it will be more fun to play at later levels and difficulties.

Witch Doctor- I was not expecting to like this class. I hated watching the WD play throughs, i thought it looked stupid. Turns out it is pretty cool. I had the easiest time killing the skeleton king on this character. There was so much CC available to me by level 8 that the skeletons he summons did close to nothing the entire encounter. Between runed grasp of the dead and horrify i don't think i got hit by any of them.

Demon hunter- Originally this was going to be my main character to level up on release day. After playing it, its fun but it comes in 3rd on my list behind the wizard and witch doctor. Definitely good CC which i really like. Resource management was very easy, never found myself starved for discipline or hatred unless i did it on purpose.

Wizard- I love this class, in fact i played it through the entire beta 4 times already. from the 1st quest to the last, it's just fun to play. Out of all of the classes i thought that the wizard had the most survivability out of them all, at least at the level range we have access to. I was worried about this class after seeing the damage reduction in this latest build compared to say.. beta patch 13. But i thought the damage was pretty good for the gear i had.

After all that, I'm set on the wizard being my primary character. And all of this is just from my experience, i may very well be the worst monk player out there :P but I'm glad i got to try them all out and get a feel for the game before release.

a few hours. You'll have a great time playing D3, it will hopefully take your mind off the swelling. Depending on if your teeth are impacted or not you may be eating soft food for a few weeks :P. I got mine cut out when i was 17 and couldn't eat anything but mashed potatoes and apple sauce for a month because of the swelling.

i think with the graphics being 10 years more advanced than diablo 2 that the slimmer diablo just looks a lot scarier. He probably has just been going to subway.

posted a message on Entry level to Inferno got nerfed!
i don't understand how you can feel so strongly towards something that you've never played or seen except for a couple minutes of devs getting their asses kicked. It has been said multiple times that inferno was not nerfed, but that it increases in difficult from the start to the finish. Monsters start at level 61 and end at level 65. That is called dynamic gameplay which is better and more fun than one static difficulty throughout all of the acts.

There is this sculptor here who always includes a giant vagina or penis into every one of his pieces. I'm sick of seeing reproductive organs around the 3D studio.

After knowing this guy for a while.. they don't have any meaning. He just does it for the shock factor, which now it's not even shocking anymore, you more or less expect it.

@SCP- I wouldn't want to try and drink coffee out of those. :P

I like them for the surfaces and forms not the functionality, although i have a few of his cups and they are fantastic to drink out of.

Here are some very awesome examples from one of my favorite potters, Jack Troy.

These are all wood fired in an Anagama kiln. The pots are not glazed, all of the flashing and coloration comes from the firing process, they are fired from any range of cone 10 to 14 which is 2363 degrees F to 2450 degrees F.
I love them because you cannot manually produce the effects created by the wood firing process, its nature at it's best.

    @ performance art.. yeah... wtf.

speaking of, here is someone i think you'll like /sarcasm. Her name is millie brown and she is a performance artist/ vomit painter.

i just thought about this. millie brown = wretched mother lol

As a fellow artist, i agree with you. i'm also a senior and after the past few years getting a good knowledge base on what is art and what it not art there is only one answer.

Art is anything that it man made that is intentionally created with the purpose of evoking an emotion.

The graffiti, street art, animated movies, video games, dare i say dubstep, are forms of art that are unique and definitive of modern culture.

That being said, the art world does not view my art form as art at all. I am a potter and have been making pots since my freshman year when i took my first ceramics course ever and have since then become addicted. I focus in functional pottery and have become completely enthralled by the connection that people develop with the objects that i create from essentially a lump of dirt.

There have been many people over the last few years who have purchased some of my pots, be it a mug, bowl, etc. Last year i was attending a sale and a lady came into my booth who i had seen before at a previous sale and remembered that she had purchased one of my mugs and a few little dessert plates. She looked around for a while and was picking up just about every mug that i had out and sometimes she would pick one of them up more than once and keep going on and on and on.

I asked if i could help her with anything and she said, you know i bought a mug from you a few months back and have been having my morning coffee out of it every day, and last week i broke it, and it just hasn't been the same since.

That moment was a major realization for me that strongly influenced my decision to stick with pottery as my primary art form. It is awesome that the smallest little thing, like a mug, can do something for someone such as make their morning coffee a bit better, and cause them to be engaged into my art and form a relationship with my art that is unheard of with other mediums.

    TL;DR i agree with you

I don't know how you feel about it. But abstract expressionism makes me lolwtf RAGE. I hate it. Jackson Pollock paintings just make me sick. I know i don't understand them, but i really don't want to have to work as a viewer to get something out of a bunch of splatters on a canvas.

And "piss christ" yeah... thats art.. wtf world.
