I don't understand why they are even worried about the MF system as it is right now. To be honest, there are a million things more important than MF. How about, oh I don't know, better systems for progression? The endgame is stale as fuck-all and they're worried about magic find. *flips table*
Farming shitty items over and over is not progressing. About 250 hours in on my DH, I've found ONE item that was an actual upgrade that I swapped to on the spot in the past month. But that isn't even the real problem. The real problem is there is no point to playing the game after you beat Diablo on Inferno. Hardcore is a dumb idea by far (stuttering and "intentional" 5 mile distance from attack animation = death)
Blizzard is so fail with D3. Where is the push that Diablo 2 had? "Oh shit, just got X item that requires Y stat points into Z attribute. Let me level so I can use it. I can't wait!" or "Oh wow I leveled after farming for hours on end! I can use that new item! :D"
/rant
But what they should do is let players play how they want to. If people want to swap, let them. Why is it such a problem?

So they're making Fury spenders even less attractive? Niiice. Not that anyone uses that passive anyway.
I have my barb in Act 2 Inferno right now and I hardly ever use a fury spender. The only ones I would ever use are earthquake and WotB. I use leap (with 300% armor inc.), war cry (armor and resist), revenge, ignore pain, WotB, and frenzy. I swear fury hasn't meant too much to me so far. I'm constantly full.
Edit: Also, is there a confirmation or some sort of source as to the patch is supposedly coming next week? - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

That is the point though; D2 was made specifically for the hardcore grinders. Diablo 3 was made for you and those who share the same casualness. That is why you have such things like non-permanent characters, an official auction house (with the use of real money too), no skill points, no progression at the end game. Dude, to be honest, and I've seen it myself for quite a few players, you will more than likely not want to play the game after you beat Nightmare. There is absolutely nothing different but more affixes (no new affixes, just an additional 1 added to elites), and better loot. You can use the skills you used in nightmare in inferno and still be completely fine for the most part. The game is so gear dependent that a level 5 with whites could kick your level 60 ass if you were wearing no gear. There isn't any sort of permanent, unique power that you had with D2. While D2 was also gear dependent, there was such a HUGE gap from a level 1 to 99.

Anyone had this problem or understand why it's occurring?

If a person pays $100 for Collector's Edition (original is $60 obviously) you don't think they should be entitled to extra security? What are you, a spawn of Kotick?

And that is why Blizzard never includes authenticators with their collector's editions or regular games; because you are willing to pay more for security that should be added within their product. The LEAST they could do is give an auth. in a CE.

As I thought more and more about "why would they remove it" I started having some sort of clue as to why. Basically, I believe the AH will ruin the lifespan of Diablo 3 and I will discuss why down below.
So, why would Blizzard remove these items? Well, to make this somewhat short, I say it is because of the involvement of real money. I have my suspicions to believe that Blizzard removed these because they THEMSELVES will throw these items on the RMAH to make 100% instead of that 15% from the players selling it. They took notice of all those players getting those 1400 dps xbows and such and removed them from dropping. They said nothing at all. Which makes me really nervous, by the way.
Now, someone could argue that there is a flaw with my idea. That person could say "Well, why wouldn't they just create "unique" sets of each of those items to where they have 1800+ dps and sell it?" My response to that is it could be possible that they didn't want to break the difficulty of the game and PvP with those ridiculously high dps items.
The fact that Blizzard could easily do something like this and not say anything is scary for the lifespan of Diablo 3. Companies have done this before; creating stores to allow players to buy power in the games with the use of real money. Blizzard would know better than to make it obvious. But, what is stopping them from completely dominating the RMAH by making those legendary/sets have a .001% chance of drop and they throw them on there to make that 100%? It literally would take no effort at all.
I hate to be a conspiracy keanu but these are my thoughts. And I would like to hear input from you guys about such. I personally think the AH will ruin this game's lifespan. D2 will outlive D3 by far, in terms of the amount of people who play. Diablo 3 is based around the AH and it has an effect on the drops. The reason people play games like Diablo is because of the farming and the satisfaction of finding better loot/rares. Just buying things from the AH isn't fun.

It does indeed! I thought we were ridiculously restricted haha

The passives synergize perfectly with all other spells. Vengeance could be changed though for later difficulties, it just depends on what happens really.
The point of the build isn't to rely on discipline, as said many times before. As for the smoke screen being useful when playing co-op I don't think you'd actually need that. If you have a Barb, they'll be tanking damage for you. If you have a monk, they'll be in the enemy's face. If you have a WD, the minions can tank damage. So you won't really need to go invis.
From what I've seen even on the Blizzard skill video it just seems too weak. (LINK: http://us.battle.net...ctive/companion) As you can see in the video, the DH appears to have pretty decent gear. We don't know the actual gear specs in the video but it seems decent. In the video you can see the bird attacking (granted, we don't know what runes or if there are any runes involved) but the only kills that are made are by the demon hunter. Like I said, 30% weapon damage just seems too low especially when it only attacks periodically. Only time will tell.
If you look at the calculator (http://us.battle.net...or/demon-hunter) there are 6 categories with each of their own set of skills to choose from. You can only choose the skills INSIDE that single category. You can't have vault as your primary skill or any other category, you can only have vault in your defensive category.Apparently I was wrong... I didn't realize you could have skills fit into other categories. My mistake. This is actually pretty good news for me. Now I can make my build even better haha. Blizzard's category system is definitely weird.

The companion seems too weak to be useful in my opinion. Maybe late game/later difficulties it will be somewhat useful if you have a high hatred regen and/or a good amount of lifesteal. As for the early difficulties, I just don't think it's worth it because there are better options to choose from.

Yeah but you don't get to use RoV in the Defensive slot. RoV falls under the Archery slot. But I do get what you're saying. Which is why I said Fan of Knives isn't a bad swap for Vault.

As I said in the last paragraph under Preparation, "Since you'll be spending your discipline on Preparation, of course you won't be able to Vault around a lot." I just feel that it depends all on the person's play-style; if a person likes to be a ninja-esque DH, this build probably isn't for them. I personally won't be vaulting around all the time during fights but some people might. I threw in the Action Shot rune just so you can keep up some damage even if you have to vault out.
Also, to your statement about another hatred spender, I feel that Marked for Death is very important because it costs a small amount of discipline and you won't have to recast it multiple times during the group fights (due to the Contagion rune). Swapping MFD for Rain of Vengeance just doesn't seem like a good idea, in my opinion. You lose an extra 15% damage for the next 30 seconds on a target (which also spreads once you kill the target). I could see the possibility of swapping Vault for Fan of Knives though.

This build works as a consistent high damage play-style. You rely less on discipline and more on hatred. Your autoattacks are also beneficial; I will explain why below.
Entangling Shot (w/ Heavy Burden)
(the ones in bold are the ones I chose)
1. ) Cull the Weak - Very obvious as to why this passive is useful if you read the guide.
2.) You have many options:
