Quote fromjust for fun, how many of you are buying hellgate london?
I don't plan on buying it. Partly because it doesn't look my kinda game, and also because I don't even know if my comp. could handle it. One thing I will say for it though, is that it has AMAZING cinematics.
(That's really the only reason I'm interested in it). Cinematics are a huge part of the game to me, and without them, I find it impossible to be impressed by a game. Hellgate looks cool, but I'm just not into shooters.
If Blizzard can keep up with their cinematics, I will be a happy man.

This is back when I used an axe, had red armor, and well... kinda sucked. Now I'm much better off, but I still like the image. Maybe I'll do a new more up-to-date one soon...

Carloseus - I use Paintshop Pro 9, although Photoshop is way better... I just don't have it yet lol. It's pretty much using a lot of reference images, looking for old ideas and making them better, and using filters (but not over-using them). A common mistake made in image creation/editing is filter-raping. A sad practice.
With practice and time no doubt you'll improve exponentially. Good luck.

Also, I think steeds are a good idea. (Horses, wolves, dragons, turtles, w/e)

Diablo III - Rebirth of Evil
What if it were revealed that Azmodan was the creator of the Three Brothers, a metaphorical "father of evil". His creations were more powerful than he had expected and to save himself and Hell he teamed up with Belial to stop the brothers and banish them into the mortal realm. He knew they would be vanquished there and their powers diminshed...
Years later... The hero who defeated the Prime Evils has long since passed away, and Tyreal has been punished by the Heavens for disobeying Angelic Law. He has been made a mortal. He keeps up his holy deeds, but without the aid of the Angels they are frivolous. The mortal realm has fallen into dissaray and chaos.
And now, with the destruction of the WorldStone, Azmodan wants to take his turn at defeating Heaven and the Mortal realm. He sends forth new legions, more grotesque and powerful than ever to attack Heaven's gate and the world of men.
Tyreal finds himself in a conflict between protecting Heaven or the mortal realm, which is his new domain. Without any great heros, angels, or Horadric sages to help Tyreal he makes the descision to return to Heaven.
He returns to the gates and is allowed entry, due to circumstance his actions are temporarily forgotten. Here the spirits of Izual, Deckard Cain, and the mysterious Hero who once vanquished the three brothers consult with Tyreal. He is told of the impending doom and the return of Azmodan, the new lord of Hell. Tyreal will lead the armies of Heaven and the Ancient Hero will lead the people of the Mortal Realm.
The game is played as an MMORPG (similar to the originals in style, but like WoW in the sense of scale and greater interaction). There are several options to choose from...
1) Become a warrior of Heaven
2) Become a warrior of the Mortal Realm
3) Become a warrior of Hell
Whatever side you choose, you create a fully customizable hero character for yourself. You pick from different classes or castes and from there develop your character in looks. You choose your colours (which will be represented on your armor and weaponry), and can even upload a personal logo onto your character (which can be removed or changed at any time).
The new game would support clans and guilds aswell as free play. The War of Three would occur on a semi-ethereal plane of existance. Both elements of Heaven and of Hell conglomerate with the Mortal realm and it can be difficult at times to discern whether Hell is winning or Heaven.
The idea of gameplay is similar to the first. You progress through various levels and skills, and become a more powerful and wealthy player as you continue on. However, the benefeits of levelling would be more than just some stat reconfiguration and a skill point. Advancement through the game would be like advancement through a military. Ranks and power would be rewarded aswell. (Ei: Control over a small batallion of soldiers. They of course would be NPC characters that you could customize yourself to some extent). These would replace the usual NPC hirelings and mercenaries.
This game is open to additions and expansions galore. Fourth and fifth party characters for example, or new locations to fight, etc. I think it would be an awesome experience in gaming. How about you?
Any suggestions or comments are welcome.
