You can tell Wyatt is nervous because he knows he is in a room filled with very unhappy fans of a franchise that just got a giant middle finger from the developer.

crayonsmind posted a message on Mastering All The Set Dungeons - Build Guides, Videos, Rankings And Tips!Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionWelcome to my Set Dungeons Build Guides and Videos!
This thread has some general tips and tricks to completing all the Set Dungeons, as well as individual builds and example videos of how to complete each Set Dungeon SOLO!. The videos and guides are based on the current live Patch 2.4, rather than the various PTR (Public Test Realm) versions where Blizzard were balancing the Set Dungeons. If you get assistance with the Set Dungeons, the majority of these are much easier to complete, but I can't really give you many tips there as I've done all of these solo.
Demon Hunter Build Guide Thread
Witch Doctor Build Guide Thread
Some general comments and tips:
- If you're attempting the Season 5 Conquest for Mastering 8 Set Dungeons and are only plan on playing two classes, by far the two best class choices are Demon Hunter and Crusader. Most of their sets don't require much additional gear so farming up the Sets shouldn't take TOO long and their Set Dungeon difficulty isn't too high. If you have party members to help drop you the various required items, it will speed up the gearing process tremendously. If you play more than two classes, you can pick and choose Set Dungeons from the ranking list below.
- The majority of monsters in Set Dungeons spawn in completely random locations throughout the dungeon! In Set Dungeons where you have to hit a certain amount of monsters with a particular skill, you can constantly restart the Set Dungeon by leaving through the Green Portal that you entered without having to use Town Portal (which takes a long time). This tip will allow you to get the majority of your objectives completed at the start of the dungeon, rather than worrying about it towards the end.
- For players who are unable to select certain skills for their slots, you will need to enable 'Elective Mode' by going to the Game Menu (pressing Escape), clicking the Options tab, clicking the Gameplay tab, then under 'Interface' you need to tick the 'Elective Mode' option. This allows you to pick any and all skills (with some special exceptions) for your Left Click, Right Click, and Slots 1-4.
- The Kanai's Cube recipe (Skill of Nilfur) which converts Set Items into a random item of the same Set will be your best friend, so DON'T scrap any spare duplicate pieces of the Set until you have at least 5 or 6 total items of the Set!
- As mentioned above, it's possible to get party members to assist you in Set Dungeons, which will make the majority of these Set Dungeons easier.
- For Hardcore players, please make sure you attempt these Set Dungeons on 'NORMAL DIFFICULTY'. Also ensure that the rough area around the Set Dungeon is clear of monsters before you attempt it, in case you take fatal damage! When you take fatal damage, a Green Portal spawns in front of you which takes you back to the entrance of the Set Dungeon but DOES NOT HEAL YOU. Therefore a monster can easily take a swipe and kill you. This also means you should avoid using the Moratorium Legendary gem (thanks to user 'Cyberdoc' for bringing this up) at all costs if you play Hardcore, because the gem can 'stagger' and deal damage to you even after you exit the Set Dungeon and kill your character because normal Hardcore death rules apply once you've re-entered the normal world via the Green Portal. An easy fix for Blizzard would be to simply spawn characters at full health when they exit the Set Dungeon, but this is currently not the case.
Below is the overall difficulty of each Set Dungeon - Easiest to Hardest based on my own experiences roughly (your own attempts may vary!). I've started with Easiest so it's clear for anyone wanting to get the Conquest to Master 8 Set Dungeons. Note that the rankings below are just a general idea, it will greatly depend on how comfortable you are with the class and set, as well as supporting gear and RNG in the Set Dungeons.

Bagstone posted a message on Do you keep wings after season ends?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionEverything in your wardrobe (pets, wings, pennants, portrait frames) is account-wide and not bound to season/non-season. No matter if you earn it on season or non-season, it'll be available right away and forever in every game mode.

Bagstone posted a message on [PTR] Season 7 ConquestsPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionDefinitely some more love for solo players.
- The Thrill is best, my favorite all-time solo conquest, and not a difficult one, but one that requires you to think a bit outside of the box (or just wait until you get insane GG items). Although obviously most S5 builds should still work fine in S7.
- The GR75 is another gift to solo warriors, though even pure solo players might find all the other conquests easier (depends on class and how the S7 class changes turn out, obviously).
- Avarice is also easier solo (especially since Ruins of Corvus is still not exempt), though it's possible in group in a dense rift. I wonder if this conquest will become much much harder now with the gold nerf; although the gold find bonus on TX was 2000% and now it's 4500% on T13. PTR will give us the answer, obviously, but with the changes to gold this might now require a bit more thought and possibly luck. Not sure how much gold the gold goblin drops these days and if he's exempt from the conquest - doesn't say so...
- I'm torn on Sprinter. That conquest is very class-dependent; basically a DH will be your out-of-jail card here. It's something that rewards planning and coordination (if tackled as a group), but it's also something that can screw you over and let you waste 50 minutes if you encounter a few bad maps in act 5. I know some people have excelled in this conquest and can easily carry people through, but the fact that I have never seen anyone do this in less than 52 minutes (and experienced players finish with just 2-3 minutes off) makes you realize how much harder this is than the comparable "Boss Mode". Well, gearing up a DH for that isn't too difficult, so I might give it a go.
- 3 gems to 65 is the boring, grindy one. Would rather see a new one than that again, but then, it's the only one that doesn't require a bit more commitment and thought, it's just about time investment. It's gonna be interesting to see how the group nerf turns out; maybe this one will actually not be that much easier in a group than it used to be.
Thoughts?

You know there's difference.
Quote from Madonnalicious»
I believe that the quality of the gear is not being used properly! I mean, what is the purpose of grey, white or blue gear in the game? Have you ever used it (other than your first 5-10 minutes of making a character?) ? The ancient legendaries are a new quality of gear if you think about it. Right above legendaries. Give them a pink color or something and call them Eternals or something like that! It's the same thing! But they too come too often! Like 10% of the time a legendary drops it will be an ancient!
For me personally, I would prefer if it took a bit more time to find "the good gear"!
it still takes a lot of time to get the good gear. the good gear is not the legendary, it's not the ancient legendary, it's the ancient legendary with perfect random stats, high rolls, upgraded with a high lvl gem. It takes hundreds of hours to get your good gear for one char. Most players just get their ancient (or not even that) and think they are done. And that's totally fine, not everyone wants to dedicate his life to a game. It's totally fine to get the basic stuff, play a build and then be done with it. But it's weird to me when players complain that it's too easy to get the good stuff, when they never got the good stuff to begin with...
Good gear now and good gear back then.
Good gear now: ancient item with perfect desired rolls and secondary stats, augmented with highest possible legendary gems.
Good gear then: any desired legendary\yellow item with high damage/armor stats
The difference is huge. I was steamrolling rifts like a boss when i first found Starmetal Kukri, 2 years ago. It was unbelievably rare item.
Now it's just a meh forgotten soul unless it's INSANELY SUPER good.
The definition of "good gear" narrowed to the size of a pinhead. Guys in top 100 have almost 95% identical gear with identical skill and the rest.
When we had no leaderboards and rifts it was all different and gear was still important... -

The Zeph posted a message on About the Goblin GigglePosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionThe goblin post was a good read. I always find posts like that interesting. So much more thought goes into things like this then one could imagine. I like it and since posting things like that doesn't effect game development, balancing or content its fine and great that they write things like that. Makes you understand more of the thought progress behind a game, which is great!

It's like the game has 2 parts. 1st part is find the gear, and 2nd part grind the paragon. The 1st part is being completed far far sooner than the 2nd.

Yeah, but there is a not so thin line between playing and playing and playing and not finding an item you want, and finding 300-400 legendaries a day! I'm sure some people find way more!
Just, make legendaries legendary again! It's all I'm saying!
Edit:I fcking hate my quote abilities! I hope you understand I'm quoting you Shapookya

Very politely, what the hell is going on with all those new threads that are been created all the time by bots and generaly fake accounts? It's very annoying to see them all the time at the front page when you are searching for the latest activity in actual threads!

And you need a minimum 30lvl gem for a weapon, a 40lvl gem for a ring/amulet and a 50lvl gem for an armor item!
That's pretty much it! But for more detail you can check this guide here!
