I'm not sure how I feel about PvP in D3 simply because all my playtime in D1 & 2 was exclusively PvE. Anyone else feel the same? Not that I'm not willing to try it (also gave it a shot in wow and liked it) but it will be a brand new experience for me in the Diablo series. When I think Starcraft or Warcraft I immediately think PvP but when I think Diablo nope not even close.
Im trying to figure out the a few things about the leveling game progression. I have a couple questions:
At what level range do you think Normal Mode will be completed? The other difficulties?
What level would be the normal level to complete the Skeleton King encounter? Those that are playing the beta, what is your average SK level?
My guess is this:
1-30 Normal (30 levels)
31-50 Nightmare (20 levels)
51-59 Hell (9 levels)
60 Inferno
I just went to my local Gamestop and prepaid for two copies. They said Blizzard is telling them the release date will be May 2nd. Hope this is true cause that's right around the corner!
I'll be honest, I thought I wasn't going to as interested in the Beta when I finally got a key. I had watched a bunch of vids at first then I started slowing down and eventually just kept up with Diablofans for any patch updates or possible release news.
Once I finally got in, it was actually great to play. There's something about being able to use the skills yourself. Skills that look boring or unimpressive on a YouTube video actually end up being kinda fun. I also had no idea how much I would like the Witch Doctor based on his videos. Once I used him, he became one of my favorites.
Worst case, we have a few months to wait out, but the game is getting closer to release. I'll still wish you luck on getting a beta invite, I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you're still following this closely
I've been reading a lot of this lately actually. It seems that more and more people that play beta are finding they're enjoying it a lot more than they thought they would. =) to me this is a great sign!
With all the HD youtube videos of the gameplay footage, I bet I've seen 90% of the beta anyway (just havn't gotten to "control" a character). I doubt playing the beta would be that different anyway. Actually, I'm okay not having gotten a beta key yet because it will make me appreciate the game more at release. Lol, who am I kidding...
The basic idea is to generate and to always have Fury available, enabling the outpour of massive damage. The Bash and Ground stop have been modified with runeskills to generate more fury when used. In turn, Hammer of the Ancients and Furious Charge both have been modified to do more damage. Overpower has been modified to crit more making the whole skill do more damage more often, while Wrath of the Berserker was added to give all the skills a damage boost. The passive skills compliment the generation of fury and the dedication to extra damage.
