posted a message on Activision Blizzard has several more remakes and remasters planned for 2020

    Well that is pure clickbait.

They copy rumors, hide the fact that its based on rumors in the title, others copy headlines and suddenly people think they have evidence - based on thin air.

There is a difference between a remake and remaster, SC1 was a remaster, slightly upgraded grapics and a few ui improvements, versus a remake that is suppose to be rebuilt from the ground up and introduces new story elements like new cut scenes, new animations, new ui, new graphics ect...

The probablem with reforged was that it was promised to be a remake but ended up being a remaster, and people were not happy.

it could have singlehandedly ruined all of Blizzard's plans for future projects as people will have lost trust.

People were unhappy because they delivered far less than annocuned at Blizzcon. They shdowed some things that peole thought "uh Blizzard plans something big". Then they cut a lot of those things (probably only due to lack of ressources because the game was missing base multiplayer features the old game had, some bigger bugs and they tried to make it impossible to play the old wc3).

In other words, they simply didnt even do a good remake. They replaced WC3 by a version ,that had better graphics, but missed some (important) multiplayer features and was cut heavily during development.

Officially it was always "due to player demands". But that doesnt make sense because cutting ressources would have meant they would have had more time for other features and bug fixing - WC3 Reforged sucked here completely.

AOE2 DE had extra campaigns, contained promised features, additional factions etc. It kept the old essence and improved it. AFAIK they even didnt make it impossible to play the old version.

Blozzard did everything to screw up players. I didnt even know up to release that you couldnt play the old game any longer as soon as they released it...

For me WC3 Reforged is a disaster for so many reasons - and that swhy i dont want a D2 Reforged. It wouldnt be any good with current Blizzard. They should probably outsource it.

If you are playing seasonal chars, you should focus on season journey. You get 2 set pieces for steps 2,3,4 Just make sure you focus on one char.

Up from there you can find build guides/recommendations on this site (i think icy-veins.com has better d3 guides for new players).

For starters i recommend running around the legacy of dreams gem without active set bonuses.

This isnt some brand new idea.

The reason you are supposed to use blood shards is because they have to be spent anyways and armor pieces only cost 25 blood shards.

Amuletts/Weapons cost 100 BS, Rings 50 BS, that's why it is smarter to save those Deat Breaths for gambling the right weapon (especially ancient weapons) you need. I have equipped by WD with 5 to 6 times spending 1300 BS for my WD. Wasnt really hard either. And getting your right piece with your 5th or 6th piece was just lucky, since you can get 50 without the right piece. And you need those DB and mats for rerolling pieces, crafting right pieces etc.

posted a message on WW barb Push and area dmg

Rend is only in the skillbar to change the damage type. You never cast rend manually (why should you? It has no advantage).

So if you apply Rend via WW, Area Damage is worthless.

No it is a wasted stat. Area Damage cannot proc Rend and Rend is your damage source. So avoid Area Damage. AD value is close to zero.

Blizzard offers Lilith Statue with a deliverydate of 30.8.2020 :o

so we can hope for a near releasedate of the game itself?? :)

It is a statue, not the game. Both arent connected at all.

2022 is my guess. Christmas 2021 is my hope.

    hi all,

new to the forum as looking for advice! What’s the best way to get the crimsons set. I see a lot of strong builds using it but I just don’t seem to get it.

It is a crafting set so you have to craft it.

The recipe is easy to get (do bounties and you get it pretty fast).

You can be really sure that there is a spot for aov crus. If it is the new meta noone can tell yet. I dont know if AOV is the best RGK. But it also has some nice aoe damage.

^ So what do we get out of that post? That most things are obvious and confirmed and the other few are unconfirmed, but very likely to happen. LOL.

The few that don't match are the 1% which could have easily been changed during the 5 months from the leak to the live demo at Blizzcon. And for all we know they are working on city hubs it would make sense with the public trading to have areas to trade in and big cities make the perfect way to do exactly that.

I think the leak is very true to everything we've seen so far. The release date could also be true (at the time anyway 5 months ago). I predict a March 2021 release date.

No way. It is more like 2022 or 2023.

They sait isnt even "Blizzard soon". D3 was announced in june 2008 and released in May 2012, nearly 4 years later.

So i think q4 2022 is very probable.

It's going to be 2021 or 2022. 2023 no chance.

When they say "Not Blizzard soon" what I get from that is that it is 100% not going to be 2020.

2021 is very possible as it gives them a full year to work on the game and then have another full year to prepare for release. Of course it is still possible for 2022, but I feel like that's a bit too much. And people saying 2025 have to be joking.

Diablo 3 did take 4 years from announcement to release and it was very frowned upon. There is no other Blizzard game that took this long to release. Even Overwatch with an extended beta took around 2 years. So I think 2 years is very possible, 3 at worst if something goes horribly wrong and they have to redo some parts of the game.

From the Kotaku leak that we got, it was said that they restarted the project in 2016, which means they worked on what we've seen so far for less than 3 years. I think if you add another 2 years the game can be finished. The engine is always the thing that takes the longest to do and they have nailed it.

Overwatch is an arena shooter, no single player, small player numbers.

Diablo has much more skills, needs a singleplayer campaign and is supposed to be mmo like. Feedback from demo streamers was that it is still VERY early.

I am optimistic about 2022. 2021 is unlikely (perhaps a rushed christmas release).

MTX are a necessary evil. If they're cosmetic only.

What I don't like about MTX is that I'd rather all that cool art / pets just be in the game as something very rare to find. However since they obviously need to continually make money to support the game, then sure do pets / mounts.

In POE stash tabs arent cosmetic, they are necessary at one point though.

PoE MTX also costs a lot, but imo thats fine because of F2P and they deliver a lot of content (though some POE patches are pretty bad; it is always about quality).

posted a message on WW barbarian nerf

There is a gernan youtuber which looked at ptr data and while ptr was still running, most classes had the best seasonal chars at 110 to 120 rifts, while many barbs had 130+ (was 133). I dont think anyone pushed on ptr so it was pretty safe that barb is clearly ahead on ptr (though probably not 10 to 15 levels like on ptr). He also said that the barb is clearly too strong from playing himself. Ptr barb after the nerfs to necro/wiz probably was 5 to 15 levels higher than other top specs.

I havent seen any numbers or ptr data indicating anything else.
