Don't you know Blizzard? They don't want to make a great game. They want money, our money. And for that they don't need anything else than mega hype. And they have a master class in hype making, we know it.
Go back in mind for all their promises before D3. And what they did? Crap Action House, filled by bots and crap boring game about holding ppm and yawn hours by hours.
What do they do now? Same thing. A lot of promises and more of them in the future. Wind up hype about D4, then take grant for pre-orders etc.
This company does not deserve any trust in them anymore, after what they did with D3.
Auction House was announced long before the launch of Diablo 3. You can't really say they gave you something unexpected when it comes to that... D3 vanilla in my opinion was a much more solid game than RoS ever was. The only problem it had was the RMAH.
It's in their best interest to make a great game now. People are not sheep. A lot of people feel betrayed from D3 (and rightfully so). Seeing so many new people on the D4 team (and none of people that worked on D3) gives me great hope. What they've shown so far looks like they know what the franchise should be. Dark and gothic.. They are bringing a lot of stuff people enjoyed from previous games like the runes, trading, pvp...D3 had none of that even after years of promises. I am very hopeful for D4.
On top of that they are going to make it so that in the end you can get all the spells. I think this will be a huge mistake as it completely nulifies the point of talent/skill trees.
They are gathering feedback and they already said nothing is set in stone... The game is not out in a week for you to be panicking over this. Jesus. They've already shown they are listening to feedback so give your feedback in a normal manner and it just might get heard.
Is anyone REALLY impressed by the gameplay trailer? I mean cmon, It literally looks exactly like diablo 3, just with darker themes.... as it should’ve had in the first place. No real improvement on graphics or mechanics whatsoever. Oh the barb auto-climbed a wall you say?! Oooo. They’re just copy-pasting D3 and giving us what we wanted over 10 years ago. Non cartoony diablo game with PVP. And it’s still supposedly over 2 years until it’s released? Kind of a joke tbh.
(Inb4 the “stop complaining and just be happy” comments)
It looks like a big improvement so far. Graphics wise the most, of course, but not only that. They are moving away from the retardness GR spam for big dick measurement with time limit. They seem to be moving away from the Paragon infinite farm as well. We have world bosses which are sort of a new end game. The first ARPG with full open world (excluding the dungeons of course). There's PVP, Trading and Runes. None of these stuff are in D3 so how is it like D3?
Why even use that avatar if you hate D4 so much? Kind of hypocritical.
Revert everything back to Vanilla D3 except the Auction House removal.
Everything was better in Vanilla.
You were actually farming different bosses and acts.
Itemization was way better.
Power creep was non existent.
Game was harder.
Paragon didn't exist.
GR didn't exist.
4 Difficulties and each one did what it was suppose to do.
Now you have:
Rifts spam from level 1 until you get bored out of your mind and quit.
Itemization and power creep that is just ridiculous.
Game is feeding you legendaries and items from the getgo. You are literally given a full free set at level 70 which is reached in no time at all. It's more of a tedious tutorial until you reach Paragon...
Paragon makes the experience dull and boring. You get to a point where you wonder why you are even playing the game? Infinity with infinite power scale which provides no meaning whatsoever and you lose all that progress when the season resets.
GR is just a dick measurement for the leaderboards. It provides the most stupid end game I've seen. There is no enjoyment there. You run the timer and try to do it as fast as possible and that's it. That's the most boring thing to do for 20 seasons. The timer is what makes this so bad. It's meant to be a competitive mode and not an endgame experience for the masses.
20+ difficulties which makes you think just why? Why have this power scale? Diablo 2 had 3 difficulties and didn't split the player base. Diablo 3 playerbase is split and non existent so this makes it impossible to find a game unless you have added people to your friends list. It's unnecessary.
I agree that PoE has cool boss fights, but I disagree that they are something revolutionary. They are still "move around attack, move around attack". They just made it different enough.
And you haven't even seen the full boss fight... you saw a small glimpse at a small part of one of the multiple bosses. If you dislike it that much I am sure PoE has its doors open for you. I feel like PoE players are super insecure and they feel forced to come to Diablo forums and Diablo's fan pages and just try to praise PoE even though the game has a plethora of issues of its own and has a very specific demographic target that likes more complex games with very flashy visuals and God complex end game (nothing wrong with that).
^ So what do we get out of that post? That most things are obvious and confirmed and the other few are unconfirmed, but very likely to happen. LOL.
The few that don't match are the 1% which could have easily been changed during the 5 months from the leak to the live demo at Blizzcon. And for all we know they are working on city hubs it would make sense with the public trading to have areas to trade in and big cities make the perfect way to do exactly that.
I think the leak is very true to everything we've seen so far. The release date could also be true (at the time anyway 5 months ago). I predict a March 2021 release date.
No way. It is more like 2022 or 2023.
They sait isnt even "Blizzard soon". D3 was announced in june 2008 and released in May 2012, nearly 4 years later.
So i think q4 2022 is very probable.
It's going to be 2021 or 2022. 2023 no chance.
When they say "Not Blizzard soon" what I get from that is that it is 100% not going to be 2020.
2021 is very possible as it gives them a full year to work on the game and then have another full year to prepare for release. Of course it is still possible for 2022, but I feel like that's a bit too much. And people saying 2025 have to be joking.
Diablo 3 did take 4 years from announcement to release and it was very frowned upon. There is no other Blizzard game that took this long to release. Even Overwatch with an extended beta took around 2 years. So I think 2 years is very possible, 3 at worst if something goes horribly wrong and they have to redo some parts of the game.
From the Kotaku leak that we got, it was said that they restarted the project in 2016, which means they worked on what we've seen so far for less than 3 years. I think if you add another 2 years the game can be finished. The engine is always the thing that takes the longest to do and they have nailed it.

I agree. This leak looks 100% legit. The few things he got wrong might even be right or were right at the time, but since it's about 5 months old, things might have changed for that 1% that doesn't match.
I'd love the Amazon... However I don't like the weird lore hole in which a Zon can't be a male. Doesn't really make sense. Think they'd make that one class gender locked?
Wait, how do the Amazons procreate then? Maybe there are males, locked away and only used for snu-snu.
In real life the Amazons were procreating with another male tribe and if the baby was a boy, the male tribe kept it, if it was a girl, the Amazons kept it. That male tribe was nothing like the Amazons though. It is also said that they might have been forced on a lot of occasions.
Keep the Amazon class female only. It makes sense and it was done in the past. What it won't make sense if they come up with some stupid ***** about male Amazons. I'd hate it so much if that happens.
I just want to say that you guys really f'ed up by doing this. Long time users got their accounts deleted which is just stupid. And, no. You don't get multiple emails saying to link your twitch and curse accounts because I checked my mail and I only received 1 email which I missed since I get lots of emails. This just makes (me personally at least) discourage posting.
I personally received 4 emails, 3 of them went into the spam folder due to my emails strict policy regarding duplicates.
This post was from 10 months ago, before we even shut down, unfortunately due to migration To/from twitch, some inactive accounts were lost.
I wasnt lying to you when I said I would look into it, I even browsed all the user_XXXX's to see if I could find your posts.
What I am not understanding is why post count is going to discourage you or anyone from posting, the amount of posts you have doesnt mean you love the series any more or less does it?
I personally don't care about post count, I care more about my join date which was ~2009.

Fair enough. Although he is only an artist which shouldn't affect much about the game. And his art is magnificent, so good choice there.

Arena shooter that launched with 21 heroes each requiring a lot of time to develop with new engine and lots of balancing difficulties.
Small player numbers? If 50+ million is small for you, yeah.
Sure, single-player campaign will take some work, but it won't delay the game for 1-2 years just because of that.

So any boss that has a grab (that looks nothing like the Siegebreaker's grab) makes it automatically Siegebreaker 2.0? Ok.
2
That's nothing like the Siegebreaker. Relax yourself. And if anything the Siegebreaker is like Duriel, not the other way around.
