I have to believe they will buff other things to make other elements better.
Nope... They've already stated the Fire is the intended "more powerful" build... Which is the reason why it's the most commonly found %Elemental Dmg on gear... I wish they'd do something with Lightning too... It's awfully underused :(
Which makes no sense since demons should have some sort of higher resistance to fire. If anything, holy should be the most powerful

When you get past level 40, please ensure to record your death and post it here so people know what not to do. Random question... whats your highest level at the moment. And please.. don't say 70 is the highest (like you sort of did before)

In case that was not straight forward enough, then understand that the spec won't keep you alive against one white mob. The moment people in your group start dying (and they will), you won't be able to keep up with incoming damage.
The highest was actually RG 68. Could of gotten higher but we cant do enough deeps to get higher
What should I believe then... your reply saying you have gone as high as 68? or your original post that just mentions 27+ ... i mean... if you are going to show that a build works, why not go with the highest rather than the lowest from the very beginning?

Also, I just checked the leader boards... there is no level 68 for groups of 4. Closest to that level is a group at 66 and you are not part of it (they are all korean). Groups of 3s and 2s are nowhere near those numbers with 2 exceptions...

So I am about to call BS...perhaps I am looking in the wrong place and you would like to point me in the right direction?

yeah I did... supposedly it's about healing yourself and the party but how do you intend to do that when you - the main supporter of the group will get killed more often than the glass cannon classes in your party? who is going to heal them then, when you are dead 90% of the time ?:)
you be surprised how much I dont get killed. Maybe you don't know how to play it right. I myself have not died yet...I play on hardcore if you haven't noticed lol.

People are just better players than others. Btw I can get better gear that would buff me to 20-30m toughness and loss about 20k life per sec but it doesnt really matter.

Currently at level 44. You are going to get eaten alive. And thats by white mobs. I can only assume that at level 56 (highest atm) even having HPS that is twice your health wont matter either unless you have other sources of damage mitigation.

level 27 is slightly harder than t6 which is not really hard.
try this build at lvl 70 not lower levels lol
Are you sure you are playing the PTR? cause anyone paying attention to the leader boards would know. But to be fair I didn't say it was Greater Rifts...thought it was implied.

There is nothing wrong with the build, I just simply think you won't make it past level 40 with it

The game is finally changing, and it is not going to be all about offense. You will need to have defensive skills/passives.

I currently have completed Greater Rift level 43, and I must say they will be needed. I play a support class. Most people in the PTR trying G.Rs have not realized this and still try to clear content with an EP monk and 3 dps when they clearly don't have the defensive skills, nor the dps to clear everything fast enough.

At level 44, ONE white mob kills a tank in less than 3-4 hits. I have no idea how a group got to level 56... well, I do. I just ain't sharing the specifics other than needing a dedicated support spec. Might post a video if I can find another decent group.. most people are stuck in between 25-31 which is just slightly harder than T6..which is not very hard at all.

I will look forward to ever making it to level 100

    Quote from Zero(pS)

I don't remember them saying anything about Greater Rifts taking over everything else in terms of "rewarding" loot.

Actually, the way I see it, Greater Rifts are meant to be for people who want to compete with each other, and the Legendary Gems + Upgrades are their way of making it slightly worth your time with a unique reward that can't be gotten anywhere else (cause you're already takin way longer to complete it than you would in a "normal" Rift).

But for "normal" farming, I expect normal rifts to still be the way to go. And that's how it should be, since the focus on Greater Rifts is progressing as far as you can, as fast as you can.

I don't know about this. I have made it so far all the way till level 35 in a group (i know, not that far, but okay i guess), and we i/d the legendaries and drop them for others to grab.. in less than 2 hours you have a very full screen full of orange/green beams. Not to mention that paragon experience is crazy at that level. i think it will be a good place to farm.

it is just a matter of getting a bunch of level 25-30 keys and farm away in there.

I would say greater rifts are there to answer the pleas of those looking for some sort of end game. As it is, t6 is ridiculously easy. At least once a person gets to 30-34 there is a noticeable degree of added difficulty.

At the moment, anything past 35, is almost too hard to solo clear. Which is fun....at least for those of us who kept falling asleep in t6

They take away 1 of 3 things to do in the endgame. Now that mat farming is gone, we're left with bounties and rifts. Awesome.. Why not remove a class while we're at it?

    totally agree with you.

they said inferno difficulty would never be nerfed. it got nerfed..they claimed it was overtuned.. like every other time when they claim thats the case. people clear it before it got nerfed. obviously not overtuned.

they claimed over 1 billion possible builds. 4 buids max per class

they said the game needed to be online because of the AH. AH is no more, game is still online

there was a requirement (white item) in order to craft a certain legendary. it got removed

with loot 2.0 they said they were going to fix loot and that you should be excited when a legendary dropped. they undid that change with the +100% legendaries.

there was a requirement (legendary drop) in order to craft a certain legendary. it got removed.

    NEXT.

open your inventory, close your eyes, wish really hard, and all the gear you want will be there.
    About Inferno - agree.

About 1 mil builds - you can really have any combination of skills/passives and still play the game. Another question is effectiveness of the builds. So you want from Blizzard to make all the skills equal to each other? Then you'll whine about skill diversity.

Internet connection requirement is for your safety. Think of all those game hackers who'll break this game in no time. Item-duping and so on. Will it be interesting for you to play the game with max stats/best gear possible?

Hunting for specific white items was a pain in... you know )

+100% buff is hasting the process but still doesn't give you all you want.

This last implementation is, as some people have already said, possibly a preparation for those ladders.

All blame Blizzard and yet all play their games. Just takes it as it is.
    w.e

its one billion. wow had several different talent trees + spells.. heck.. so did d2... and at least they were useable whenever.. instead, they give us 6 keys to play with. you can keep ur 3 different spells and whine later at the lack of faceroll

i dont care about my safety. other people hacking the game while i play offline has nothing to do with me.

searching for items to craft was the same as looking for the one legendary for a build. given that most craftables suck except for a few, now all the bads are going to jump t4+ (well, they are already there, people with less than 1mil doing t4 is just funny to watch)

    possibly =/= is

i miss the blame part but w.e u say bob

i have tried a similar build since i am sick of pets and specially jade. it is okay for solo, and i usually sit at 1.5ish mil dps without pierce the veil. dont need crazy amounts of defensive stats nor fear+armor rune

in a group, it doesnt perform well.mobs die either too fast or too slow and you get eventually creamed. if LS was still around, this would be awesome.

with zuni's and jade's 2nd set bonus + vision quest i dont run out of mana.. AT ALL.

the only other specs i have found viable are perma big bad voodo via weapon + cooldowns OR ranged fetishes via helm + darts with splinter rune.

    gl with this.

    yes... !

and when you click something, it should not only be a guaranteed legendary, but the legendary that you want with at least the same stats of your currently equipped item.
