I don't see how you need a formula for this. If you absolutely get no enjoyment out of the game and treat farming as a job, just use common sense: after Blizzard's cut you want to make, in ~40 hours of farming, what you could be making in a ~40 hour work week. If you're an absolutely unskilled, minimum wage earner, use that number. If you're totally capable of a $15 an hour job, use that.
This does not require any sort of advanced formula, and is based entirely on how you value your own time. Most people are going to see any money they make off the RMAH as a bonus, as they made it while playing a game that they were probably going to be playing anyway. But even if you intend on trying to make a living off of this, it's totally subjective as to what you consider getting "ripped off"...and it doesn't take anything more than 4th grade math to figure this out.

D3 is 100% stand alone you need no D1 / D2 experience whatsoever. If your bored, sure play D1 or D2 till they come out, they are good games, but D3 will DESTROY them so you wont bother after May 15.
I would love to see a countdown timer to the official release of D3 on the front page. I know other sites have it and also its possible to make our own, but Diablo Fans is what I love and visit and would like to see it here.
I was so excited to play WD, but sadly it has been nerfed out of the game. Every patch the damage is reduced more and more. It already trails Barbarian and Wizards by a long way.
WD is already the least popular class and that now they will trail further.
I'm a bit of an achievement nut myself, but have no access to the beta.. I'm curious - which achievement would you say is the hardest to get in the beta? (meta excluded of course)
By far the hardest achievement is to ress a dead character with each class........cause nobody dies in beta
What people aren't accounting for here is the fact we have to play a character we don't care about. Imagine having to play 10 hours of a game before you can even start it? Like a 10 hour tutorial? How boring will that be! The simple fact for me and a lot of players (I know the 10 or so friends I plan to play with ALL play only hardcore mode D2) is that we cannot enjoy softcore, it is not fun running around with no fear and no consequences. Try hardcore if you haven't, you will NOT regret it!
When I first experience the story, the twists the turns, the final boss fight. I want it to matter. I don't want to be like "great thats over..." , "ok now to start my real character!"
LMAO at the qq'ing over wasting 10 hours on normal. Im betting you waste wayyyyyyyyyyy more than 10 hrs on beta for no real achievement. So whats 10 more.
I'd love it if they did a wave of opt-in keys for Oceania. Considering Australians pay twice as much for games you'd think we would be pandered to like gods.

with an army of minions runed for increase effictivness,
and an area slow to keep all mobs well away from me,
with a single target spell for boss dmg.
