Did anyone actually play diablo 2 before LoD was released? With the exception of a few items, rares were the best items in the game. Hell imbues were half the reason i even leveled alts.
He is soloable with under 12k dps, if you can dodge all of the big attacks and stay away from fire. I started a new job and missed pretty much the entire 2nd week of d3 being out so i was stuck with some pretty crap gear. I do use mantra of conviction with 11.5k dps to solo him though so that probably makes quite the difference.
If you take your time and don't try to rush the content it gets easier, but even just in nightmare there will be those times that you are 100% in control and then BOOM, dead in a second. I'm currently lvl 46 on my way to Azmodan. The servers shut down on our way across the bridge. =(
I happened into the best of situations today, and PERFECT timing. I was offered a job with a 60% pay increase and I will have the entire week off to play D3 before I start at the new job.
I personally played the 4v4 arena at blizzcon, the monk was one of the harder classes to play well with what was provided (pre-set skills, a blue weapon and white armor). The monk does a lot of running to survive, but when your cooldowns are up, nothing can stop it. The healing they gave us was nice while dashing away, but nothing compared to what orbs did.
