Thanks for the tips.. turns out, after i changed the compatibility mode to xp sp 2, it still wouldn't work. But after i added the" -window" after the target line, it worked fine lol.

So, many threads.. i'm sure this has been answered. If it has, i appologize.

Just wondering how playing with your friends works. If i invite someone on my real ID friends list, who plays on another server can i group with them? Or are there even servers? Sorry, not in the beta..

Saying Diablo is the WoW killer is like saying if Honda puts out an awesome new SUV, than people will stop buying civics. Diablo isn't the same game as WoW, at all.

People throw around this " WoW killer " mantra, way too much. The only game that is going to affect WoW's subscriptions, is WoW. If it's good, people will play it. If it gets boring and tedious, people will stop.

Also, how come no one ever complains that the men in video games are completely unrealistic? So it's ok for the media to give men the image of what an " ideal " man should look like, but they're not alowed to produce an image of what the " ideal " woman should look like. It's rediculus. People just like saying it's sexist towards women, so that they feel like they're " doing their part ". Get over yourselves. When women fantasize about men, they don't picture John Goodman. And when men fantasize about women... i'm sorry, they don't picture miss sweeden.

Recent trend?? how long have you been around. Half naked women in games have been around as long as games have... the graphics are just getting better lol

I'm not in the beta, so i really have nothing to go on, but i've heard some people in forums and podcasts saying i won't really be able to build a WW barb in D3 like i did in D2. Is this because of the way WW works, or is it a gear thing? maybe not enough life leech gear or something?

Maybe i'm just wrong, and you can have one. I was just curious...

So since this game is still not out, and i've done nothing for the past 3 months but listen to D3 podcasts and watch gameplay vids, i figured i would play a little D2. COuldn't find my copy so i got the digital download off the blizz store.

After i installed it, it just wouldn't load. Wouldn't even run the video test after the installation. Some issue with Direct Draw and 3D or something, idk. went on the forums and couldn't find anything other than people saying that changing the compatibility to XP service pack 2 might help. but that's not working.

Kinda dissapointed... was only 9.99 to d/l, so w/e..... but still.


anyone else find a workaround for this?

Diablo was the first pc game i ever played. I remember the first time beat the game on normal mode and then my character shoved the soul stone into his forehead. i was dumbfounded. i couldn't believe that i had never seen anything that cool in my life. i was officially hooked and the first Diablo was one of my favorite games of all time
