I had problems with this issue myself. After trying all of the options posted to no avail, I started fiddling with it myself. What I did:
Run launcher, it'll stick at 60%
Open Task Manager and Kill Agent.exe
Open C:Program Data/Battle.net/Agent/Agent.868
Run Agent.Exe from this folder before it restarts itself in task manager (A DOS window will appear, let it run all the way, it will close itself)
Once it finishes, the Launcher will die.
Re-run the launcher and it should work!
Note, I ran Agent.524 first, not sure if that is a pertinent step or not, if it is, insert it before Agent.868.
If this works for you guys can you add it to the battle.net forums? I don't have a beta key.
Just tried this and with either of the Agents the dos just repeats saying "Response: 200" over and over and the Agent.exe process immediately returns when I launch one of the Agents in program data
Trying to dl the beta right now but it is stuck on "Updating setup files", and has been for about 5 minutes. I remember reading something before about some agents or something a while back but can't find the threads and not sure if that's my problem. Any solutions?
I can't log in to beta as it redirects me to Bnet to create a battletag. I already have a battletag so not sure what they want me to do? Anyone else having this problem?
I'll just post here because I'm not allowed to reply on Bnet forums since I don't pay for WoW anymore - grats on failing Blizzard. These new skill and rune changes are a step in the complete opposite direction from what Blizzard has repeatedly stated being they are making D3 as customizable as possible. This new patch makes Diablo more cookie-cutter than WoW nowadays. Go back to what was a good thing and stop wasting more time as keeping the game as it is right now makes many question your ability to make a "quality gaming experience".
Well I don't know. I've opened all required ports from the blizzard site on my router and enabled and disabled P2P and it still does the same shit. I give up.
When I use the downloader for D3 or other Blizzard games ie. WoW or SC2, it downloads incredibly slow, with my total download not progressing steadily but jumping up by a fraction every 3 minutes or so. Anyone who knows any possible solutions - possible firewall issues - would be greatly appreciated.
