I see the crusader is really strong solo. I wonder if it is because other people did what I did, found it too hard to complete the master set dungeon for their main, found the forums full of people saying how easy the Invokers Set Dungeon is, and leveled a Crusader to do the dungeon and completed it on the 3rd try and then goes back to playing the class they really want to. Of course it may just be the Wizard set dungeons. And if anyone tells me that firebirds is easy I will know you are trolling

It is very common, in fact it always does. You don't move much if you think it isn't common.

I don't think Blizzard would do this, at least not like this. I think the audience for anything that provides no loot or XP would be too small for the development time.
If the idea was tweaked so that it did drop loot at the end. e.g. only the first time it's run, chances of legendaries based on options chosen.
I don't see a way that XP could be given though, as I agree it would be a way to find the most optimal monsters and map, and that would then be the only place to farm XP.
I think the static rift thing is out too for user created custom rifts, as the storage space required to store locations of mobs and pylons, etc. would be too great. I'm pretty sure the game spawns them dynamically as you explore the map...maybe even the map works that way?
I could see Blizzard adding custom rifts that they create (automatically) and then people being able to run them, with loot and XP. It may be feasible to do static maps too then...but maybe not.
All that said, I like the idea.

When I saw the post about all the beta keys that all the fan sites had, and all the hoops you have to jump through to qualify, I almost didn't bother. In the end my desire to play the beta made me like 5 diablo 3 fan sites on facebook and send the silly tweets so all my friends know how desperate I am to play a beta. This is really not helping my street cred with my friends....not that I have any, being in my 30s, and I suspect using the words "street cred" means I have none.

It worked better than some games that were suppose to officially support 3D....if you've tried Sonic Generations, the clipping is terrbible in that, and things are always coming too close to the camera.
You have to remember that Blizzard have put 3d support in to WoW, and it is probably the best game to play in 3D IMHO.

I'm a 30 something from the UK. I've been playing blizzard games since 1994 when I spent many hours with friends and a null modem cable playing Warcraft. This included the time I had a cable going out my bedroom window on one floor to connect to the other computer in the house on the floor below, so me and a friend could play Warcraft together...glad it was a dry day.
I think the original Diablo had been out a while when I played it. I remember playing a demo and thinking, "Hmm, not really my sort of thing" Oh how things would change! A few months later I decided to give it another chance. I be came hooked. Running around like a headless chicken with my friends (I now had two computers in the same room!) trying not to get hit by the butcher.
Years passed by and I passed time playing other games like Starcraft (which meant I got a 2:2 on my degree, I should have got a 2:1)
Diablo 2 was announced, and I ordered it immanently from a mail order company. The release day came, but my copy did not.
I found it a few days later leaning up against the patio door at the back of the house...how many days had it been there? I don't know. Days lost!
It quickly became my favourite game, and has remained so ever since. I played it almost exclusively for 5 years. With friends, with work colleagues, with anyone that would play. I bought my 8 year old nephew a copy, he played it a lot, but was scared of the spiders, so my mum, who looked after him often, would have to do those bits, and she started playing when he wasn't there....what and awesome game.
Now I'm a WoW player, but it isn't as good as Diablo 2, so I still go back to D2 occasionally.
All I need now is a beta key for D3, so I don't go crazy with the wait.
