posted a message on How many people out there have all the Diablo books?
I have the Book of Cain. I honestly don't have the rest. I used to pick up and read Blizzard books, but I started with Warcraft and eventually the World of Warcraft books. I also buy the Starcraft books. I just haven't gotten around to getting the Diablo books other than the one I mentioned. I defiently want to look into getting them and reading them. Its just I have a long list of books to read before then lol.

I think gold find will be much better early on at least, the first thing you want to get done is level the blacksmith as it seems the stuff you can make is always better than what you can find from mobs, at least that's how it seems from what we've seen in the beta. Personally I will be going with more gold find for sure. If you watched the "You will die" video they said they were spending a lot of gold on repairs, so that's also something you need to think about.

Yeah I can see gold find being useful in your first few levels, maybe even first 20 or so. I just feel that once you get a littler further in the game and you can find or get your hands on a lot more magic find gear that the magic gear will be more useful for crafting and not to mention selling for gold.

Hah, I wouldn't take the movie seriously if they actually made gear drop from enemies or even gold. Thats more of a youtube thing. Just keep the movie simple enough. Worry about the action and story line. Let the heros be heros and not worry about magic finding that great helm before going to labrynth level 10. lol

I will agree to the fact that a lot of their give aways are spawning nothing but spam about useless topics or even starting up threads that have already been started and are just rephrasing whats already been said. I will even give you that the Facebook one sucks cause even I have posted something within the first 20 seconds of the question going up and still managed to be like 50th post down. Its annoying, truely it is, but its what they wanted to do. In the long run those who did get the facebook keys will be happy. They have a big chance of getting some new regulars on their forums, while those who just came ONLY for keys will disappear after its done. Small price to pay when chances are you will get a lot of new faces that will stick around and make your site more popular/active.

I see your point, but you don't look at the other side of it too. There are pluses and minuses to many things. Most of your minuses will be gone in a week or two. The pluses will be around much, much longer.

posted a message on For veteran Diablo players trying to get caught up
I sneak around the offical forums and some of the fan sites, ive watched some videos of game play but honestly I have strayed away froma ny real detail about the game. I would have to say I am looking forward to playing the Monk or maybe Demon Hunter. I normally play melee characters in MMO games so I was thinking Demon hunter to play a ranged class in this RPG.(not saying D3 is a mmo) She has a lot of cool looking moves and I love the kiting abilities. Yielding dual crossbows and going knee deep in blood is a very fun thing to think ok, that being said, after looking at the monk some he seems like a lot of fun. Doing all the karate basically plus the ability to heal, which is pretty much a new concept for the Diablo series. So I am really torn on the two.

I used to pvp a lot in Diablo 2, mainly just the dueling. Griefing wasn't my thing unless someone was being a complete jerk about something and need to be put in his place or forced to leave the game. While Arenas look intersting for Diablo 3, I will most likely stick to just PVE in this game. I enjoy the story line and after reading Book of Cain I can't wait to keep the story going with our two lesser evils currently trying to wreck havoc in this upcoming game. Seems like it will be a lot of fun and I can't wait for it.

I don't see how that is a useless post. I mean one of the big things these days are "game movies". Diablo in my opinion wouldn't be a great movie without really taking away its core. To much gore and what not for the big screen. ... Well I dont know, with todays world it might be accepted. I just don't know how you would to it. Would you make the movie based of off say Diablo 1, and have it basically follow the same line through into the labyrnth into hell? Say have the towns people and then the three heros, but by the time you get all the way down and kill Diablo only the Warrior (who was persumed to be the actual hero to finish him) be the only one standing? Ending the movie say celebrating Diablos death in Tristram, sort of how the game ends. Of course the next movie starting off with him "losing" the war against Diablo in his mind and starting his trip to the east.

Facebook status updates can be flaky too, sometimes it takes time for peoples to update.

Ain't that the truth. I know I answered it almost immediatly after it was posted yet I was almost a full minute behind on "commenting" after I refreshed the page again a few minutes later... I mean I know I posted within 20 seconds if it being up, but I didn't update till a minute later on their page.

While gold is going to be a much more vaulable thing this Diablo 3 compared to the other games. I still think Magic find personally is a better use of time. Sure you don't get as much gold, but won't the items that drop from magic finding prove to sell for a lot of gold. Either by using the Gold AH, Vendoring them, or using them for crafting purposes that will later turn into higher returns of gold upon trade/selling.

While gold is a more useful thing, I still think MF is going to dominate in the long run. Like the above past said, gold is always dropping and is always around. While Gold finding may find you a lot more gold, you lose out on better Magic gear. Using MF gear you get better Magic gear, and still get gold, granted less gold, but you still get gold. You could argue magic gear will still drop but it won't be nearly as good as with Magic find gear which with one good magic find drop you could turn around and sell it for say hundreds of thousands of gold or more.
